The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast makes its triumphant return with another weekly roundup of all things Transformers. We join Cobotron, Rotorstorm and Scotty P as they sit down to discuss Sentinels and Ironhides and Prowls, all on the perfect day for... a parade!
First up, it was recently discovered via Amazon France that there may be another Earthrise special two pack coming down the pike. This time it's Prowl and Ironhide. Will these two be simple Siege repaints or will we see any re-tooling? Let's us know your thoughts!
Up next, ScottyP gives us his in-hand opinion on the latest Studio Series figures to be found at retail, Scrapper and Sentinel Prime.
Announced at Toy Fair and now shipping from Hasbro Pulse, it's the long awaited Generations Selects Spy Patrol 3rd Unit which contains the likes of Wingthing, Frenzy, Skar and Knok.
We close out this episode with another rough of bragging rights
We hope you've enjoyed our temporary weekly format, stay tuned in a couple weeks as we return to your regularly scheduled bi-weekly format.

Then Thanks to a few posts from IDW Manager, Creative Development / Senior Editor Tom Waltz at #Transformers on Twitter we have this nice preview page showing the introduction of the new character Termagax! Per Mr. Waltz's summary:
"In #Tranformers #8 (in stores, we finally meet the enigmatic #Termagax! Turns out she likes to talk smack about #Starscream behind his fuselage just like everyone else."
Sounds like she just may be the mother of all Decepticons, literally!
Is she the new Fallen?
Is she the new Terminus?
Will she help Megatron finally find his love for violet chest mounted iconography?
Mr. Waltz also posted this nice image of Cyclonus from issue #8 on his own Twitter account with the tag line:
"In #Transformers #8 #TheCracksBeneathYourFeet Part 2, #Cyclonus has some serious #Flamewar issues he needs to tackle. Literally."
And lastly also from Mr. Waltz's own Twitter page he's also provided a nice black and white preview image of Chromia from issue #9 with the summary:
"Join #Chromia to find out what dangers lurk in the shadows below #Cybertron in #Transformers #9."
As always enjoy the peruse and share your views with the Seibertron crew!
Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP with xRotorstormx and RodimusConvoy13. Listen in as we discuss the latest toys and catch up on some of the latest Transformers comic releases from IDW Publishing.
Episode #167 "Optimus Sub Prime" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Takara has released more of their Movie The Best figures, with a new wave featuring Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave, and Starscream. Along with the comparisons of these toys to their earlier releases from past Movie Universe toylines, we take some walks down memory lane. Find out if we're still more fond of Voyagers from 2007, or if we think these versions really are The Best.
You don't even remember that I existed!
Keeping with The Last Knight, we look at Leader Megatron and his 30 step Transformation. So many steps.. or is it? Maybe some context will help us work out whether or not we're going to cry or just have Transformers fun in several steps when this highly anticipated toy hits the shelves in April.
The bio is a glimpse into someone's daily ennui
We round the corner to more Masterpiece discussion. MP-35 Grapple and MP-34 Cheetor are out now, and we don't own them yet because instantaneous shipping isn't available for everything and it's probably somehow your fault. In lieu of a useful discussion on toys after in-hand experience, which we couldn't provide here, listen in for some tips on ordering Masterpiece Transformers toys, with a look at the pros and cons of shopping through some of our various site sponsors.
We don't have them yet.
We end our toy talk with some Titans Return talk. The discussion starts with the odd happenings surrounding Titans Return Chromdome showing up with the Takara Legends head. Is this a factory error or a very strange intentional running change? Plus, with Six Shot hitting US Retail, ScottyP gives us his in-hand impressions. Then, Rodimus lets us know what is up with the new Voyager Optimus Prime and how sometimes it's ok to embrace the weird.
Way to screw up, Earl.
This leads directly into a listener question from kuhlio. Would you want to see alternate takes on the heads that come with Titans Return figures? Would you get a Sentinel Prime or a Brainstorm head with no faceplate? We let you know our thoughts and how this scenario may play out.
Unsurprising fact #2: he looks better with the faceplate.
It's then time for Comic talk. We've had a few issues come out since the last comic talk on the show.
We start with Revolutionaries #2. Check out the Seibertron review here from our podcaster friend Tigertrack. Could you almost call this a Kup ongoing series? More importantly, Kup Jet flies in to steal our hearts.
Take a look at me now.
It's been out for a bit, but we haven't covered Til All Are One #7. We talk about the cliffhanger reveal and what it might mean, plus tell you why this comic is very worth your time and money each month.
Hopefully enough to read this comic?
What are those crazy Junkions up to? We see for ourselves in Optimus Prime #4. What's happening with Prime? He doesn't seem to be the bot we all know and love anymore. Also, it's the welcome return of Alex Milne!
Dreamy McDreamboat and his pal Mr. Right
We finish our comic talk with the fantastic Lost Light #3. All hail the Useless One! What is Rung's alt mode? Is it a big tease? This book made some of take a few laps around the room, and hopefully we can come back around for a more lengthy look at this issue during episodes to come.
Who says you need a mouth to smile? See, faceplate > No faceplate.
After quickly pondering some decade old questions such as "What is Sector 7?" and "Project Iceman?", we end the show spotlighting some cool gems we've found out in the Transformers Fandom, including a part of Twitter we can't read but love.
My unicycle is fast and danger.
We'll be back in two weeks with more, much more, than meets the eye!

While we have been seeing Transformers Titans Return figures appearing all across the globe for a bit now, D-Maximus_Primal has spotted an Australian TV ad - via the official Transformers YouTube channel - for the line, showing off the likes of Blurr, Sentinel Prime, Fortress Maximus, Powermaster Prime and Titan Masters by the handful. Check it out!
Fellow Seibertronian itscramtastic has shared with us the official Hasbro booklet for Titans Return 'The Power of the Titan Masters' from San Diego Comic Con 2016 - now available digitally - containing a more or less fictional introduction to and the bios of the various characters released in the first couple of waves. It is a little odd to see Sentinel and Optimus work together, and Alpha Trion fighting Mindwipe on Eukaris, Soundwave attacking Cybertron and Fortress Maximus, but there you have it. Check it out mirrored below, or access the PDF here!
Welcome to the latest edition of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host, ScottyP along with Counterpunch, Megatronus, Rotorstorm, and Tigertrack! Sit down, tune in, and enjoy as we discuss all the latest news, toys, comics and more.
Episode #137 "The St. Valentine's Day Toy Fair" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Even though it's Valentine's Day weekend, we are excited that Toy Fair is finally here! (P.S. thank you to all our significant others for taking a little time away to talk about Transformers for 2 hours )
Our very own Seibertron is in the thick of the excitement in New York City and will be updating us throughout the night with new photos and videos. Even though over the last few months we have seen many images leaked for the upcoming Titans Return line, we are still keeping our fingers crossed for some new and exciting figures.
First up, in all his glory, we'll discuss the new images of Titans Returns Fortress Maximus and the clever way in which he was revealed.
(Head On, Apply Directly To the Forehead)
So many pictures, so little time! As we take a moment to paruse the amazing photos coming in to the Seibertron Galleries, the Twincast discusses some figures that were teased prior to Toy Fair but left us feeling unsatisfied, until now. Powermaster Prime, Wheelie, Blurr and Scourge made their "in the plastic" appearance and you'll have to tune in to hear what we think of these updated characters.
It wouldn't be Toy Fair without the reveal of a new Platinum Edition set, right? Well this time, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, this year's (K*Mart exclusive ) is Cyclonus, Scourge, and a Sweep! Do we need another Cyclonus? Oh wow, is that Devcon from Botcon? Listen in as we get this early impression a bit wrong.
Of course, we can forget about this lovely ray of sunshine, Sentinel "Not Ginrai" Prime:
(Ouch, my eyes!)
We decide to step away from the Titans Return line and focus on another line with some pretty neat reveals, Robots in Disguise. With 2016 being the anniversary of Beast Wars, and no official announcement from Hasbro that they are planning new figures - does the newly revealed Scorponok toy show that they might just be teasing us?
Another interesting Platinum set has also been revealed, a Robots in Disguise Grimlock and Bumblebee set. We're excited to have another opportunity at Takara's Battle Grimlock retooling, and of course, another Bumblebee "Supreme Mode" deco for our swarms.
Then the conversation just gets depressing, in terms of sports anyway. Panthers, you had one job.
After that short off-topic interlude, we try and figure out what is up with Windblade all of a sudden?
This girl had some work done.
Thanks to Toy Fair, we've finally been shown a more accurate version of the fan built bot Victorion. Does this new image change our minds on her? Guess you'll have to tune in to find out.
This one did too, and she looks a bit better.
In celebrate of the 20th Anniversary of Beast Wars, we continue on with our special segment on rewatching the television show. In this episode, we'll discuss our thoughts on episode 2, the simply titled "Beast Wars: Part 2".
Prepare to see this image in our posts a lot this year!
We finish up tonight's episode, in celebration (man another celebration? Geez) of Valentine's Day, with a question that we are sure everyone has had to deal with.
I can feel my heart beat fast-errrrrrrrr
Well, that wraps things up for another episode! We really hope you enjoyed listening.
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on iTunes and be sure to tell us what you love, what you hate, and what you want to hear!
Not on the show to give your take? Probably not, so don't forget to keep the discussion going on the Seibertron.com Energon Pub Forums by simply replying to this post!
Got a question for the Twincast? We take all of them, we just don't take them all seriously! Leave a question in the Ask the Twincast thread and, if it makes the cut, it may get read and answered on the show.
Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. This episode features host Scotty P guiding cast members Counterpunch, Megatronus, Seibertron, and Tigertrack through the gauntlet of all the latest news and reveals from New York Comic Con 2015. Plus, Seibertron gets to sit down with the Hasbro Transformers brand team for a special Q&A session you won't want to miss!
Episode #127 "Titans Return" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
As you can probably infer from the episode title, Hasbro's Titans Return line shown off at NYCC 2015 is front and center for this episode. Follow along with the site's extensive galleries of the product reveals from the event as we tackle it all in some form of order, including the individual Titan Masters themselves.
My other car is a drill tank.
We also analyze the Legends class figures, including the important questions. These include questions such as "What does Rewind turn into?" and "Are these tablets also phones?" Well, ok, at least one of those gets asked along the way as we take a look at this upcoming pocket sized fun.
Next fall, the robot romance comes home
We can't forget about the Deluxe class figures of Headmasters coming our way either. Listen in to hear about the size of these guys directly from our crew that was on the ground at NYCC, as well as our other thoughts on the strategy and direction these may tell us about the line.
Does he also do stand-up in gator mode?
The Voyagers don't get left out either. Galvatron and Sentinel Prime go under the microscope, and also give us some hints about future uses of at least one of these molds. Also in this part of the show: Counterpunch goes bummin' on gimmicks.
The head can rotate here, but later?
We can't forget Blaster either, especially with his head being a homage to our program! Well, maybe it isn't, but we still have fun taking a look at this upcoming Leader class figure. Base mode speculation is also included here, as well as something else from Counterpunch: not bummin' on gimmicks.
You can change the face, but the visor remains
Nestled within our coverage of all the new toys is a special interview with the Hasbro Transformers Brand Team! Marketing Director Ben Montano, Senior Manager of Global Brand Marketing Sarah Carroll, Franchise Creative Lead David Erwin, Product Design Manager Ed Masiello, and Product Design Manager John Warden were all gracious enough to take a few minutes during their busy convention to sit down and chat with Seibertron. Listen in as he asks about Titans Return, Prime Wars, and more.
A sincere thanks again to our friends at Hasbro for taking out some valuable time to speak with us!
The show isn't all just NYCC fall out, as there is more going on in the world of Transformers to discuss, including the first two reveals from Botcon 2016's boxed set of toys. Ravage and Tarantulas are the first looks at the Dawn of the Predacus so far. Is the cast sold on the theme by these reveals, or do we still need some more convincing? Turns out we might just be a bit weary on combiners after all. Listen in for our thoughts on these first two limbs.
But what does the red Predacon symbol mean?
There was also a new Transformers video game released last week, and some of the cast has picked it up and started to dive in to this new adventure. Tune in for our somewhat (though not entirely) spoiler-free review of Activision and Platinum Games' Transformers: Devastation. We even touch on some gameplay hints and tricks. Who knew there were game reviewers lurking on this show?
Get ready to go to Sunbow City
Bragging Rights come next, and with them, a long show gets longer. After that, Scotty refuses to let the show end by rambling on about who knows what for several minutes.
That's not a Transformer...
Hope you have fun with this one, we'll see you again very soon with our haphazard ramblings from TFcon weekend!

During the Hasbro panel at NYCC2015, of which you can see our gallery here, Machinima and IDW took the stage to give some further detail on the upcoming animated series for Combiner Wars. The biggest selling point for the Seibertron.com team is that it will be a Japanese anime-style series, with a focus more on the adult side of the fan base. No artwork or trailers were shown in slightest, and we expect all of the missing information to be revealed at the next Toy Fair. In the meantime, check it out embedded below!
Some highlights:
Main speaker is Eric Calderon, producer on Aeon Flux and Afro Samurai among others; he underwent 'Transformers boot camp' to understand the franchise.
Windblade will be the main character/perspective, as was for the comics
Not really a children's cartoon, something not really attempted previously
Trying to appeal to new and old fans alike
The series will be standalone, using previous fiction as sources rather than basis
'Combiners have to fight each other'
IDW editor John Barber talks briefly about Titan Returns, and the re-emergence of Sentinel Prime from the IDW continuity
Barber, James Roberts and Mairghread Scott will be on writing duties again, creating one overarching story
We've had preliminary images from the Hasbro panel at New York Comic Con 2015, revealing some of the Titan Returns figures such as Sentinel Prime and Infinitus, but thank to the hard work of site owner Seibertron we can now bring you a full gallery of the panel in its entirety, showing Titan Returns as the second chapter in the Prime Wars Trilogy - is that a Fort Max we see?
We've selected a small number of images to give you a taste, but click on any of them below to view the full set. Are you as excited as most of us here at Seibertron.com - let us know in the Energon pub, and watch out for a video coming up soon, too!
