We've had preliminary images from the Hasbro panel at New York Comic Con 2015, revealing some of the Titan Returns figures such as Sentinel Prime and Infinitus, but thank to the hard work of site owner Seibertron we can now bring you a full gallery of the panel in its entirety, showing Titan Returns as the second chapter in the Prime Wars Trilogy - is that a Fort Max we see?

We've selected a small number of images to give you a taste, but click on any of them below to view the full set. Are you as excited as most of us here at Seibertron.com - let us know in the Energon pub, and watch out for a video coming up soon, too!

It's nightbeat, 100%. In fact I'd bet the kids on it.

The head matches his idw design almost perfectly

There's no way they'd make nightbeat leader class. And the fact that they released just a head with his name unfortunately points to us not getting a full one.

Your totally right as soon as I looked at the silhouette again I realised it's powermaster optimus prime.

I actually got a bad feeling it's the opposite concerning the heads. Knowing hasbro it will be headless body's in wave 1 that match heads in wave 2 and vice versa. A bit like the mixing of limbs with combiner wars wave 1 and 2

So fort max reveal at the next toy show then? I can live with that :)

Also I'm feeling strangely confident that prime maybe a new mould or at least one that shares transformations aspects with leader UM instead of a retool (so no straight up rehead of minimus)

Bleh. Still think the original Headmaster nebulan figures looked far better than the Titan Masters. These just look super-dorky in their simplicity for this era.

Just realised Hardhead is only a deluxe looking at that image. Damn. I was hoping he would be a voyager. So he's gonna be way smaller than his G1 toy? Ugh. I just can't win for size classes with this lot.

Come on takara right hasbros wrong and give us sentinel prime and galvatron fixed heads and not be headmasters.

I'm definitely going to tweet the takara designers and ask for this.

i couldn't care less about sentinel as a character, and i personally don't think either of those alt modes fit astrotrain very well, the only issue i can see on the toy right now is that ill have to paint the cockpit onto the shuttle mode. other than that, i think the figure is gorgeous and im very excited for it. it reminds me of transformers cybertron with all the molding detail

Why would they? They have no connection to sentinel prime. Galvatron? They might but it's doubtful especially since they may have to completely change transformation depending on if the neck hole is covered or not.

That's cute. I remember when I first got the Internet. Please, send them a tweet I'm sure they'll get right on that.

Seriously, these toys are designed to transform without heads. Which a means there's no place for a retooled fixed head to go. They're designed to have the head removed for transformation and putting the head/pilot in the cockpit. Honestly? Either don't buy it or don't transform it and do the thing you had to do when you were a kid all those years ago with G1 toys that 3 points of articulation and use your imagination

Not exactly in love with Sentinel's color scheme, but the figure is excellently designed. A new head, a gray and purple paint job, and we've got ourselves an Astrotrain.

While these are nice and all, I'm kinda disappointed that Generations has drifted away from being old characters rebuilt with updated toy technology. I mean, some of these are old characters but they're pushed farther and farther from being the original guys. It's not like Has/Tak doesn't have concurrent lines for them to create new characters and ideas.

I somehow doubt that these toys will be compatible with the Headmasters fron the 80's in the first place.

You can clearly see that the heads dont connect the same way. These are not compatible with G1 toys.

However, I hope for the sake of consistency with the other recent Triple Changers, that the inevitable Astrotrain is NOT a headmaster... I just realllly hope that I can get the original six Triple Changers in a consistent style (in other words, Voyagers and not Headmatsers).

The voyager Titan Returns Class is definite. Meaning that all voyager triple changers in the Titans Return line will be headmasters.

As for Astrotrain, this sentinel prime releases makes me very happy. Buying third party is always worrisome in the way that you hope you arent wasting money to get some immediate satisfaction that wont last once Hasbro releases an official toy. I like Train TFs (especially old timey trains) so I did get myself a third party astrotrain that turned into a super sweet looking locomotive. This toy is going for a more cybertronian look so it doesnt conflict with what I bought. I can use the eventual astrotrain redeco (which I will wait for instead of buying Sentinel) as Astrotrain in his pre-earth days.

He was confirmed yesterday to be inceredibly low on their list, here is yesterday,s Q and A:

Asked if watching the cartoon will required IDW comic knowledge. They said no, newcomers will be able to jump right in.
Headmaster necks will be balljointed like Brainstorm (in reference to Sentinel)
The Matrix of Leadership will play a role upcoming stories
Optimus Prime will reconcile it being more than just a thing as others look at it as an important artifact etc
Young child asked about Unicron. No plans at this time, but always a possibility for him to pop up somewhere down the line
Fan asks about more Masterpieces. Hasbro team says we hear the fans loud and clear
But they have no updated plans for Masterpiece line at this time

You are aware that Takara made these toys right? They were the ones that found how to make these toys feasable with the headmaster gimmicks. Dont know why they would go back to the drawing table and reconfigure everything so that it transfomrs with a head that doesnt detach (dont even know if its possible). With the upcoming Prime combiner they are releasing, Takara is showing us that they are ready to play along with hasbro's new gimmicks.

In any case, Galvatron isnt a triple changer in the cartoon either, so regardless of what takara does, this toy will never be his true G1 self. Just accept it or ignore it.

First of all your patronizing comment is reflective of you as a person. Quite sad really.

Secondly social media is great as it gives a direct line to companies and the guys making these figures. Just fyi my tweets to the designers and takara have been retweeted already by a lot of fans. So I'm sure somebody would notice.

Thirdly in my opinion making characters that have never been nor never should be headmasters into headmasters disappoints me as a fan which I'm very entitled to voice.

Fourth point is that takara went to the bother of making full figures of wildrider, slingshot, groove and possibly blast off so I'm sure altering a head and making storage won't be a problem. They're designers and engineers after all. What are you?

Fair enough, let me clarify. What I would like to see is Hasbro make headless bodies for the heads they are issuing which would be visually complementary to the original 6 body-less heads. I have enough of the head receptacles and tumblers to make it work, I've just always thought those heads deserved their own designs, and this would be a nice opportunity to make that happen. I'm aware these new heads make the '88 heads look like giants, and '87 heads will not fit in these new bodies without modification

Not expecting something not broken to be fixed. Also takara didn't make a new mold for wildrider and slingshot they're repaints with new heads that we also got from hasbro. Groove is a new mold. No reenginerring there. You're asking(depending) on them to gut already existing molds completely because that's what theyd have to do to-which they won't- just so little old you can live in a fairy tale where galvatron and sentinel prime are not headmasters.

what am I? Someone whos okay with change to 30 year old characters with a theme of change.

I couldn't agree more with you on the characters being shoehorned into being headmasters that really don't work. I realize it's not 'headmasters,' i.e. any of the 3 G1 storylines ( Marvel, US or Japanese cartoons ) but some characters shouldn't be using the next gimmick just because they're popular.

I don't know how handy you are but Galvatron does have that recess in his chest where the crest comes out. You could find a way to get a full head in there, possibly even using the mechanism that pops the crest out. I doubt you're going to see it officially ever, but that could be a workaround

jtprime wrote:Sentinel prime - colors & mold could fit as omega supreme better...and omega has been in comics awhile. And sentinel was white and then became nemesis so I don't understand the colors.

Nova Prime was white - in the IDW Comics Sentinel Prime was always colored Gold/orange/red (though I think he had a stealth-mode where he changed to darker colors).

Nova Major inherited the Matrix of Leadership from Prima by way of Alpha Trion when the Primes disappeared, and became NOVA PRIME.

Nova Prime secretly passed the Matrix of Leadership to Tyrest to experiment on (to try and forcibly create new life).

Nova Prime left for the Benzuli expanse, and passed a fake copy of the Matrix of Leadership to NOMINUS PRIME. [Nova Prime then entered the Dead Universe seeking a counterpart to the Matrix, and found the Darkness, which made him over into NEMESIS PRIME.]

The corrupt Senate arranged a terrorist attack that left Nominus Prime in a coma, with the intention that their Number 1 Enforcer be able to access the Matrix's power without having to have it passed to him. Of course, the fake Matrix of Leadership didn't grant any power, so that plan didn't work out, but when the Senate realized the fake Matrix wasn't worth anything, Nominus was assassinated and displayed before the public with the fake matrix still in his chest - which they also rigged with a bomb, so they could destroy the fake Matrix and blame the newly formed Decepticons for the greatest possible act of public heresy.

The fake matrix was stolen (by Orion Pax) before that plot could unfold, but the senate's enforcer was eventually given the title, anyway, and became SENTINEL PRIME.

Sentinel Prime continued as the Senate's enforcer, generally disappointed that the Senate still treated him as their henchman, rather than their master. Nevertheless, he pursued the Senate's enemies aggressively - Shockwave's former students (Orion Pax and a group of Outliers) who were fighting the system, and later, Megatron and his newly formed Decepticons.

Megatron, of course, killed Sentinel Prime. And it was pretty awesome.

With Sentinel Prime's death, the title was taken up by ZETA PRIME, who was another of Shockwave's students, so Orion Pax and the others were brought back in the good-graces of the government. They were dragged into fighting Megatron and the Decepticons, though Orion didn't really want to, and it eventually became apparent that Zeta Prime was crazier than an LSD-laced Nabisco cracker crumbled across a Picasso. So then Orion and Megatron had to team up against him.

But then Megatron betrayed Orion, knowing that he'd succeed Zeta Prime, and he was pretty much done with that whole system. He attempted to kill Orion before confronting and killing Zeta Prime.

Nearly dead Orion tumbled into the bowels of Cybertron in a sort of pastiche of the classic hero-dies-travels-to-the-underworld myth, and there he finds the real Matrix of Leadership, where it's been hidden for who knows how long. It restores Orion and ordains him as OPTIMUS PRIME. Optimus Prime emerges, apparently via resurrection, and leads the Autobots against the Decepticons who'd betrayed them.

AND if you want to know more...

And then a lot of people die. Nemesis Prime returns with the Darkness and confronts Optimus with the Matrix. Optimus baits the Darkness into joining him and then nearly kills both of them. Galvatron then inherits the Darkness, and thinks he has control of it, and goes off on his own campaign. Megatron takes the Matrix from Optimus, nearly killing him, but can't make it do anything. Optimus comes back, and Megatron nearly dies, but Starscream runs off with the Matrix before Optimus can reclaim it. Optimus forfeits leadership of the Autobots to democracy and surrenders to the humans in order to negotiate a truce. Democracy goes poorly, because Hot Rod loses the election to Bumblebee, takes his followers and leaves, naming himself Rodimus Prime. That also goes poorly, so Rodimus decides to go retrieve the Matrix from Starscream to prove himself. The Matrix, it turns out, has been trying to manipulate Starscream to escape, but eventually has to settle for getting stolen by Rodimus. Megatron, restored, finds Rodimus with the Matrix, and blasts him and it into space, deciding he's just done with that too. The matrix attaches itself to Rodimus to keep him alive, but pointedly makes it an unpleasant experience until Rodimus returns it to Optimus. In a confrontation at Cybertron's core, Optimus uses the Matrix to counter Galvatron and the Darkness, and revives Cybertron (but restores it to a wilderness state).

The Matrix itself is gone at that point, so Optimus returns to the name of Orion Pax and passes the two halves of its container to Bumblebee and Rodimus, and basically says there shouldn't be anymore Primes. Bumblebee tries to run Cybertron with Prowl as his second in command. Metalhawk and Ratbat compete with him politically until Arcee assassinates Ratbat, which allows Starscream to gain some sway with the Decepticons and buddy up to Metalhawk. Megatron returns though, followed by Devastator, who now includes a Bombshell-controlled Prowl. Metalhawk dies. Megatron nearly kills Bumblebee. Superion emerges from the wilderness to fight Devastator, Prowl is freed, and Megatron tries to merge with Devastator but is eventually defeated. Starscream wrests control of Cybertron from Bumblebee, and throws everyone unwilling to swear loyalty to him out into the wilderness, including Prowl and the Constructicons, but not Superion (who is on life support) or the Stunticons (who've been laying low).

Lots more stuff happens - Starscream gains Rattrap as his right-hand man and is declared a the Chosen One by a dying Titan. Shockwave, who it turns out was Jhiaxus's student, launches a plan to zombify Metalhawk and the dead Titan and free Nemesis Prime and Galvatron from the Dead Universe. Orion Pax confronts Nemesis Prime, and decides that he is not defined by Nemesis Prime's failings, or the shortcomings of his false successors, and reclaims the title of Optimus Prime, but it turns out Shockwave and Jhiaxus didn't give a flip about Nemesis, and were working their own plan to end the Universe. Starscream kills Jhiaxus. Optimus Prime confronts his former teacher, Shockwave, along with Megatron, and after Bumblebee dies, Megatron (who had become very fond of him) is inspired to become an Autobot. Optimus and Megatron both give great speeches, and Shockwave is restored to his previous good-guy self, as is undead Metalhawk. Of course, both of them immediately sacrifice themselves to stop the universe from ending.

Many Decepticon hardliners leave Cybertron under Galvatron's command (with Soundwave using him as a front-man). Starscream is left to rule of Cybetron, but due to the destruction, everyone moves into Metroplex, who is an Autobot, so he primarily listens to Optimus Prime and Windblade. Optimus Prime plays it pretty chill, because he doesn't want to rule a Prime-based theocracy, but Windblade doesn't trust Starscream and quickly becomes adept at politics, so she keeps a bit of a lid on him. Starscream still holds sway with the neutrals, those who worship him as the Chosen One (e.g., Scoop), and with some Decepticons, but wants the loyalty of Windblade's people too, so he restores Menasor and tricks him into attacking Windblade's planet, before restoring Superion so they can save Windblade's planet from Menasor. Starscream becomes the hero, but Windblade takes Optimus to Caminus, shows him off, and that trumps anything Starscream does, because they worship Primes. Starscream trolls for more planets to annex, intent on building an empire. Prowl wants to stop that, so he and the Constructicons show up and Devastator attacks the Spacebridge. Superion and Defensor stop him, and the Constructicons are locked up with the Stunticons. Starscream lets the Constructicons out, though, and has Scoop replace Prowl, so that Devastator will be zealously devoted to him. The Stunticons are sprung from prison by Swindle, though and with a group of rioting Decepticons, attack the Spacebridge. Swindle is mortally wounded, but has time to betray Starscream to Rattrap before he dies. Devastator is sent to help, but he's still 5/6 Decepticon so he gets confused and it becomes a 2v2 Combiner battle. Optimus and friends show up to help, but Prowl forcibly merges with them to create Optimus Maximus and make it a 3v2 battle, but Optimus has to fight Prowl for control of the combined form. The Stunticons are eventually locked up again, the Constructicons are allowed to remain combined as Devastator, effectively on parole, and is set up as part of the Spacebridge's guard. Optimus Maximus disassembles so that Prowl can be returned to custody, but Starscream agrees to release him into Optimus's custody so that Optimus can execute him in the wilderness. Before he can do so, though, Rattrap rescues Prowl.

Galvatron is pretty cool looking. Maybe not too crazy about him being a triple changer; there's not really much basis for that historically, but I guess it makes sense if they wanted him to have a vehicle mode and not just turn into a mildly mobile cannon. Although that brings the question: why not just make him turn into a tank like his AWESOME IDW form? But I really kinda dig how the robot mode alludes to that form, while his alt mode is an update on his classic design. Personally though, I think his flight mode works about as well as Energon Shockblast's.

Sentinel Prime, eh? While I'm keen on the idea of finally getting the biggest name Prime behind Optimus and Rodimus, I'm not too keen on him turning into an orange Astrotrain. But I'll definitely be getting Astrotrain when that happens.

I'll probably pass on Blaster, as I really didn't want him to be leader sized. Too big for my taste. Now when SoundeVe comes out, it'll be a much harder decision to pass him up. Time will tell.

I don't know how I feel about Hardhead. Him being a deluxe is kinda small for a character I've come to love as a larger bot. But he has his own mold, he looks kinda cool, but I don't care for his head.

I'm definitely going to tweet the takara designers and ask for this.

Not expecting something not broken to be fixed. Also takara didn't make a new mold for wildrider and slingshot they're repaints with new heads that we also got from hasbro. Groove is a new mold. No reenginerring there. You're asking(depending) on them to gut already existing molds completely because that's what theyd have to do to-which they won't- just so little old you can live in a fairy tale where galvatron and sentinel prime are not headmasters.

what am I? Someone whos okay with change to 30 year old characters with a theme of change.

I like how you ignored the possible blast off from tt, remains to be seen but it's likely. I've no doubt takara came up with the idea for wildrider and slingshot that wouldn't you know it just happen to be all new heads.

Groove an all new mould added to the combiner because it's g1 and what the character has always been. They repainted minimus ambus into alpha trion because magnus in g1 and until recently wasn't a piloted war suit.

So your jibe at me not liking change is rendered moot because takara clearly aren't interested in changes from g1 or ridiculous changes to established characters that didn't have this gimmick.

Agree with you. I did notice galvatron has that chest cavity so it is possible to remould it. Sentinel has yet to be seen but no doubt that a head could fit in somewhere.

To be honest I don't see why sentinel and galvatron are shoehorned into being headmasters. They'd sell the same if not better if they were just themselves using the real gimmick of transformers which is a vehicle turning into a robot.

I've confidence in takara to maybe change this for their own line as they've changed bigger things than just a head in the past but if they don't I'd assume a 3p company will do it's bit to gives fans a solid head to extract and replace the headmaster gimmick.

I think you're taking this a bit too far. Look at the pictures, in all possibility, it looks like Takara will just keep these as they are. Sentinel for one wasn't in G1 toon (aside from a couple of refrences) so Takara has no reason to change him. Galvatron may be the only one they change if possible but looking at it, it may just be too fiddly to even bother with. For this reason, Takara may bring this line in under different reasoning like they have done before. They may make new characters out of them like with the moulds they brought over in their Transformers Go! Line. These toys are what they are, take them or leave them but don't expect Takara to go all out and change every mould, they still have to maintain their own bottom line

Yeah, a detachable head, like the headmasters. And what's wrong with Sentinel's head anyways? It looks like it does in the IDW comics when he was around. I admit that Galvatron's head does look a little weird but it looked like they didn't have the helmet, which if it's like Blaster's has a full range of motion, on right because they just let it spring up. It looks like it should fit over the head pretty snug if you push it on.

Because the gimmick for this particular line of toys intended for children is Headmasters, so that the kids can have fun with interchangeability and little guys with vehicles. For the kids.

Remember back when Optimus Prime never showed any inclination to force a little man into an extreme splits and shove him in his tummy? And then all of a sudden he did, and it was reflected in the fiction? Remember how Bumblebee was never gold with a blue head, until he was? The fiction has always followed the toyline, since day one. And if suddenly Galvatron is a Headmaster then suddenly a Headmaster he'll be.

And if you think an adult writing to a toy company making toys for kids asking them to change out a kid appeal feature in a childrens toyline because it has a slight deviation from your memories of 30 years ago is realistic or admirable then I don't even know where to begin. If you want this Galvatron then buy it, and live with the fact that you'll need to, gasp, remove his head to transform him. If it's enough of a turn off to you that you don't want him as he stands, get Universe, or SG, or Energon Galvatron, or wait around for an MP Galvatron. But your response here is embarrassing.

so long as i can transform them with the head attached i'm happy. I like the idea that the heads would be an escape pod in the event of losing a battle so the losing bot could scurry away to plot revenge. Having to remove the heads to transform these would make me sad and annoyed that HasTak removed options and chose for me. Probably a deal breaker if i'm honest.

I think you're right. I LOVE headmasters, my only complaint is the choice of characters, and it's not just because they made Galvatron and Blaster into headmasters. If I understand this new concept correctly, the heads are the size of normal transformers who control Titan sized robots, a la transtectors. Now we have characters like Galvatron and Blaster who cannot interact with normal characters as they once did because they're bizarrely huge. The Titan sized characters should have been new characters.

I like the idea that the heads would be an escape pod in the event of losing a battle so the losing bot could scurry away to plot revenge. Having to remove the heads to transform these would make me sad and annoyed that HasTak removed options and chose for me. Probably a deal breaker if i'm honest.

I think you may be out of luck, though has that ever been a feature for a headmaster bar fortress maximus?

Sorry man but that's how headmasters work.

Didn't have any interest in Leader-Class Blaster, and then it occurred to me...

He's probably about the same height as Masterpiece Soundwave, right?

Generations Brainstorm can manage it okay, if you aren't too picky. I think they might allow for an attached head when transforming so that they have the option to remold a Titan-Master as a normal character later.

I think I'll get into this gimmick if they release multiple heads for the same character with different facial expressions. That'd be neat, and with the Titan-Master class packing a head and accessory without a body, I'm guessing we'll get at least two of each character's head.

This new Sentinel Prime looks amazing, but I can totally see an Astrotrain retool of this.
