Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP coordinating a packed house featuring Jon 3.0, Mr. Starscream, RodimusConvoy13, xRotorstormx, and Seibertron. With movie season in full swing, The Last Knight takes center stage for this episode.
Episode #171 "Team Knightmare" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
With the special The Last Knight fan event occuring in selected IMAX theaters this week, fans around the globe got to experience a short preview of what to expect that goes well beyond any trailers seen so far. Mr. Starscream was lucky enough to have this event happening in his hometown of Chicago, and walks us through several of the scenes shown. Many revelations await, with plenty of fun along the way so be sure to tune in to hear all the details.
Yours truly was not going to drive to Baltimore for this
Seibertron then joins in after some technical difficulties, and compares this footage to what he got to see a couple of weeks earlier. Why a couple of weeks? Well, if you haven't checked out his run-down of the Super Fan event hosted by Paramount and Mr. Bay himself, check out the thorough write-up, flashy image gallery, and much more as the show rolls on. Hear about all the fun and learn intriguing answers to burning questions, including whether or not our illustrious site owner really thinks The Last Knight is Michael Bay's final journey with our favorite robots in disguise.
Whatever you don't like in the movie can be our fault too now
With the launch of toys for The Last Knight slowly beginning, the inevitable leaked images of future product waves have hit the relentless tubes of the internet and given us potential looks at future fun still to come. The cast banters and speculates on possible upcoming releases such as Voyager Class Nitro, a one-step Cogman, Deluxe Class Skullitron, and Seibertron even gets in an accidental joke about the Infernocus combiner. Beast Hunters, indeed.
Empurata has evolved
We then gather up our Canadough and pool our resources to see who can Whale it up the fastest in the newly launched Forged to Fight mobile game from Kabam studios. Some of the cast is already well into this latest mobile gaming adventure, and you'll be able to hear their thoughts on what to expect from this title. Be sure to look for the Seibertron alliances as you get your own fighting started up.
Ironhidensh wrote:Has IDW's version of the classic characters started to take more precedence than the original G1 versions?
For the obvious example, when I think of Megatron, I no longer think of the megalomaniac personification of evil destroyer of worlds, but now I think of the conflicted freedom fighter who tried too hard and lost his way. When I think of Hot Rod, I don't think of the young hero ready to step up and carry the Matrix. I think of the immature leader who means well, but can't get out of his own way. When I think of Optimus, I don't think of the greatest hero of my childhood. I think of the proverb that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
IDW has moved so far beyond the humble beginnings of our beloved toy commercial. I just realized today talking with a fellow nerd, that "old school" G1 is fading away to me. The vast world building and attention to character building IDW has done is winning. I'm okay with this. Your thoughts?
With the upcoming Transformers vs. Rom: Shining Armor announced, ScottyP gets up on his soap box and lets you know why, despite the marketing hype, you should be following Transformers comics anyhow right now. The twist? IDW is doing a marvelous job of truly making the Hasbro Universe books optional, enhancement reads, and not a burden on your time or wallet if you so choose. If you gave up a few months back, maybe this segment will sell you on jumping back in. Or maybe it won't, but that's your loss in the end
She's just a main character in a series now, not the character a series is about!
The show closes out with a short segment that ends up being not short at all. In fact, it's quite long, but we throw away agendas and take on the first ever Twincast Freestyle. Early impressions of MP-36 Megatron are shared, though many cast members don't quite have this latest villain in their lives yet to be able to go too deep. After plenty of other fun, actually short items, Jon 3.0 takes us into the future with thoughts about how 3D printing might impact our favorite hobby.
You're still going to have to go to Moe's or someplace for the Coke freestyle machine.
We'll be back in a few weeks for more fun and discussion, and maybe even a buying guide with pro-tips for tracking down toys on "official" movie toy launch days.

Welcome to the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast Episode #170, featuring several very special guests from our friends at IDW Publishing! Join ScottyP and Razorclaw0000 as they get the opportunities to interview IDW writer John Barber, editor-in-chief David Hedgecock, and Chief Creative Officer Chris Ryall at the recent NC Comicon in Raleigh, North Carolina. You can view our panel coverage at Seibertron.com as well.
Episode #170 "NC Comicon 2017" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
First up, the team gets the opportunity to interview Barber and Hedgecock about Revolution, Revolutionaries, Optimus Prime, and more. We start off discussing how the editors, writers, and artists stay coordinated across a myriad of titles, including scheduling, planning, and easter eggs. The interview jumps off into the transition from Action Man to Revolutionaries.
Man of Action
Next, we jump into discussion of scheduling and some of the post-holiday delays in several of the ongoing titles. If you've been at all frustrated or curious about the scheduled releases of books and what can happen along the way to delay these plans, you'll want to tune in to this interview!
No delays on this banner being awesome!
Shifting towards Optimus Prime, we discuss Barber's transition from editor to writer and the implications to his process before moving onto some deep discussion on the Thirteen Primes, upcoming issues of Optimus Prime, and even the possibility Unicron in IDW.
Galactic Patience
We finish up with some "just for fun" questions. Answers to these shouldn't be taken too seriously, or as canonical material - or should they? Tune in to this part of the interview as our guests are great sports about some of the goofiest questions we could cook up.
John Barber once again being a good sport
Finally, we catch up with Chris Ryall on the show floor and talk some ROM. Our chat includes a look at why this character ended up in the shared Hasbro Universe after the long wait its author went through to bring it into reality. Also, we find out whether entities such as Lost Light's Galactic Council are aware of the Solstar Order and its influence.
Not all Dire Wraiths are evil...
We wrap up our time with Chrischarger with a couple questions related to both the More Than Meets the Eye Revolution one shot and the true nature of some Dire Wraiths. Plus, a teaser on the actual identity of the Masked Bear!
Also a great sport for taking our questions right there on the show floor!
Our sincerest thanks to the entire team from IDW, the organizers of NC Comicon, and a special thanks to IDW's Steven Scott for his tremendous coordination assistance. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of NC Comicon and hope you stick around for more IDW and Transformers news. Thanks for listening!

Welcome to the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast Episode #169 - "Worst Giveaway Ever". Join host ScottyP, all alone with Razorclaw0000, in the wilds of North Carolina as the team prepares for - and winds down from - NC Comicon 2017.
Episode #169 "Worst Giveaway Ever" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
This short show starts off with some silliness as we open two full of cases of vintage Transformers Armada trading cards by Fleer as we attempt to complete Scotty's set and get Bob hooked on some true collecting insanity. The experience prompts us to offer the "worst giveaway ever" - you could win a complete stack of Energon Scorponok teaser cards from the Armada line by guessing how many we have. Closest winner without going over will win the entire stack! Open to US residents only - complete rules available in the show!
The cover of the comic of the adaptation of the movie of the comic
Was this convention an experience that's enough to satisfy Transformers crazed veterans of several Botcons past? In many ways yes, even without the laser focus on our favorite Robots in Disguise. Tune in to hear our thoughts on how this convention stacks up and whether or not you'll want to look into checking it out in years to come.
Cheap Pop!
Finally, we close out with some small bragging rights from the show. We hope you enjoyed the insanity, and stick around for Episode #170 - and the discussion with the folks at IDW.
Just enough to drive the completionist insane!
Thanks for listening!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host Megatronus with xRotorstormx. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #168 "Teasers" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start out discussing the new Transformers: The Last Knight movie trailers gracing the Kids Choice Awards and Beauty and the Beastpreviews. Beyond generating excitement, what can Megatronus and Rotorstorm glean from the new content in these teasers?
Silly Grimlock, eating cars and stuff. Such a robot space dinosaur.
With Titans Return deluxe wave 3 (Triggerhappy, Twinferno, Breakaway, and Hot Rod - yes, oxford comma), hitting shelves, and Krok and Quake sneaking their way into Walgreens, the crew assesses Triggerhappy's mold mates. If this is the beginning of the redeco apocalypse, well, this doesn't seem so bad after all.
It lives!
The Trypticon hype machine continues to turn - this time on the Takara Tomy side of the ocean. Takara has tweeted a comparison between Tryp & 'Plex, as well as teased the manga for LG43 Dinosaurer. What's right, what's wrong, and what's got us marching like G1 Trypticon?
Do I spy Horri-bull?? Please please please make a toy.
The now-defunct Club's Transformers Subscription Service 5.0 is (finally) shipping, and Pete Sinclair of FunPub renown has put together his own convention. Megatronus and Rotorstorm take this opportunity to discus life after the Club, our post-mortem on the end of TFCC, and where we're looking to fill that void.
Delayed, but not forgotten.
We close it out with Bragging Rights - but with a twist. What has the crew gotten since the last time they recorded, and what bit of Transformers news can they not let go?
Gutcruncher... sounds like exercise.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP with xRotorstormx and RodimusConvoy13. Listen in as we discuss the latest toys and catch up on some of the latest Transformers comic releases from IDW Publishing.
Episode #167 "Optimus Sub Prime" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Takara has released more of their Movie The Best figures, with a new wave featuring Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave, and Starscream. Along with the comparisons of these toys to their earlier releases from past Movie Universe toylines, we take some walks down memory lane. Find out if we're still more fond of Voyagers from 2007, or if we think these versions really are The Best.
You don't even remember that I existed!
Keeping with The Last Knight, we look at Leader Megatron and his 30 step Transformation. So many steps.. or is it? Maybe some context will help us work out whether or not we're going to cry or just have Transformers fun in several steps when this highly anticipated toy hits the shelves in April.
The bio is a glimpse into someone's daily ennui
We round the corner to more Masterpiece discussion. MP-35 Grapple and MP-34 Cheetor are out now, and we don't own them yet because instantaneous shipping isn't available for everything and it's probably somehow your fault. In lieu of a useful discussion on toys after in-hand experience, which we couldn't provide here, listen in for some tips on ordering Masterpiece Transformers toys, with a look at the pros and cons of shopping through some of our various site sponsors.
We don't have them yet.
We end our toy talk with some Titans Return talk. The discussion starts with the odd happenings surrounding Titans Return Chromdome showing up with the Takara Legends head. Is this a factory error or a very strange intentional running change? Plus, with Six Shot hitting US Retail, ScottyP gives us his in-hand impressions. Then, Rodimus lets us know what is up with the new Voyager Optimus Prime and how sometimes it's ok to embrace the weird.
Way to screw up, Earl.
This leads directly into a listener question from kuhlio. Would you want to see alternate takes on the heads that come with Titans Return figures? Would you get a Sentinel Prime or a Brainstorm head with no faceplate? We let you know our thoughts and how this scenario may play out.
Unsurprising fact #2: he looks better with the faceplate.
It's then time for Comic talk. We've had a few issues come out since the last comic talk on the show.
We start with Revolutionaries #2. Check out the Seibertron review here from our podcaster friend Tigertrack. Could you almost call this a Kup ongoing series? More importantly, Kup Jet flies in to steal our hearts.
Take a look at me now.
It's been out for a bit, but we haven't covered Til All Are One #7. We talk about the cliffhanger reveal and what it might mean, plus tell you why this comic is very worth your time and money each month.
Hopefully enough to read this comic?
What are those crazy Junkions up to? We see for ourselves in Optimus Prime #4. What's happening with Prime? He doesn't seem to be the bot we all know and love anymore. Also, it's the welcome return of Alex Milne!
Dreamy McDreamboat and his pal Mr. Right
We finish our comic talk with the fantastic Lost Light #3. All hail the Useless One! What is Rung's alt mode? Is it a big tease? This book made some of take a few laps around the room, and hopefully we can come back around for a more lengthy look at this issue during episodes to come.
Who says you need a mouth to smile? See, faceplate > No faceplate.
After quickly pondering some decade old questions such as "What is Sector 7?" and "Project Iceman?", we end the show spotlighting some cool gems we've found out in the Transformers Fandom, including a part of Twitter we can't read but love.
My unicycle is fast and danger.
We'll be back in two weeks with more, much more, than meets the eye!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP with Counterpunch, xRotorstormx, Megatronus, and special guests Mr. Starscream and that wonder from down under, Burn. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #166 "Toy Fair 2017" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Seibertron was at Toy Fair to bring the latest and greatest images to your screen. Check out Seibertron's show room photography and official images of the show's awesome reveals HERE.
We start Toy Fair talk with the show stopping Trypticon. Starscream and Megatronus, who were on site at Hasbro's show space in New York, provide some first hand opinions of the monstrous kaiju on display - from the included Full-Tilt deluxe figure & Titan Master Necro to Tryp's Titan Master-munching gimmick. Is the rest of the crew sold?
Hungry Hungry Trypticon
We check out the contents of the upcoming Chaos on Velocitron and Siege on Cybertron box sets, featuring diecast Rodimus and Thunderwing Titan Masters, respectively. Likely modeled after the recent Combiner Wars sets, will the same concept work for Titans Return? Looking at Quickswitch, Nautica, Tidal Wave, and the other individual figures: which hit the right stride, and which are simply forgettable?
Nope.
There were plenty of other notable Transformers figure reveals besides Titan Trypticon: a new Windblade figure is coming down the pipe, Topspin is getting his Twintwist, and the remaining Decepticon phase sixers and triple changers have finally (if expectedly) been revealed. Are these reasons to celebrate, or is the Twincast crew focused on other priorities?
The boys are back in town.
Taking a brief break from toy reveals, the crew discusses the Power of the Primes vote, and the next Prime of Cybertron: Optimus Primal. That's right, the fans have spoken, and the famed Beast Wars leader, representing 'Chaos' will lead. Is the crew psyched, or can whispers of Deathsaurus be heard in the distance?
With a rebel yell...
Forged to Fight, the upcoming mobile fighting game by Kabam, creators of the ever-popular Marvel Contest of Champions, was also on our minds this weekend. A new trailer is out, and the good folks at Kabam held a special preview event over Toy Fair weekend to showcase the gameplay. Are we in for another mobile sensation, a la Earth Wars?
Fight!
Back to toys: Toy Fair 2017 featured some extremely exciting reveals for Transformers: The Last Knight. While Movie Masterpiece figures and a handful of new voyager toys are nice, there's one character in particular that seems to be on everyone's mind. All. Hail. Megatron.
4th time's the charm!
Time for some Toy Fair superlatives. The Twincast crew embarks on a discussion of favorite reveals, disappointments, biggest surprises, and what we were surprised not to see at the show. There are some interesting selections, so listen in to find out what we thought of Toy Fair overall.
Because Bumblebee.
Bragging Rights is here. What has everyone gotten since their last recording?
Until next time!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP with Thing 1 & Thing 2: Megatronus and RodimusConvoy13. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #165 "Recall Bias" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start out with a little Rescue Bots appreciation. Traversing its 100th episode in season 4, Rescue Bots has surpassed (US) G1 in episode count. The Twincast crew ponders Rescue Bots' staying power, and what aspects of the show have cultivated loyalty in fans old and young alike.
Robot dinosaurs from space make every show a classic.
We take a look at Optimus Prime #3, from Soundwave's evolving relationships, to our growing enjoyment of and engagement with Zama's excellent artwork, to our boundless love for all things Junkion. Bonus: our official Seibertron.com review can be found here.
The art is seriously good.
Lost Light #2 is next, and we are deep into the functionist hellscape, err... rabbit hole. While the implications of Megatron's existence weigh heavy, there is only one thing truly on our minds: All hail the useless one. If that wasn't teaser enough, our official Seibertron.com review can be found here.
Lonely, and useless.
In light (he he) of Screenrant's article declaring Lost Light the greatest story in the franchise, and our observation of stray comments exhorting a return to G1 cartoon source material in terms of content and form, we ask: What drives this desire, aside from the obvious draw of nostalgia? Is it recall bias, or something else entirely? Think of this one as a conversation starter and let us know what you think by replying to this post!
A new generation of stories, for the next evolution of the brand.
Back to toys: Toy Fair 2017 is just a couple short weeks away, and as always, our expectations run high. What reveals does the Twincast crew predict this year, and in a perfect world, what would we like to see?
I repeat: Robot dinosaurs from space make every show a classic.
The Power of the Prime vote is underway, with the second and final round of voting coming to a close. Who are we voting for, and what can we hope for under Deathsaurus Prime's leadership?
Unknown Evil, every time.
The 10th anniversary of the Bayverse continues: in addition to Takara's 'The Best' line of premium movie figure redecos, it appears we can also expect Transformers AU X converting cell phones. We're not quite sure what to do with these.
Hard pass.
Bragging Rights is here. What has everyone gotten since their last recording? And what kind of cocktail would you be mixing up?
Girls just wanna have fu-un!
We'll be back in approximately two weeks to discuss reveals from Toy Fair 2017, more comics, and Masterpiece Cheetor!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP and his merry marauders, Megatronus, RodimusConvoy13, Razorclaw, and Counterpunch - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #164 "Getaway Was Right" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We kick off the podcast with the latest images of upcoming Titans Return Krok & Quake. What does the crew think of Titans Return now that the inevitable onslaught of repaints has begun, and how does the previously utilized strategy of pre-tools color our hindsight view of Combiner Wars?
Who wore it better?
Time for some old fashioned Takara goodness with a discussion of the Legends line. We've got Soundwave + cassettes on the brain, along with Super Ginrai and anime-style Brainstorm. How do these figures compare to their Hasbro counterparts, and which are worth double dipping for?
We jump right into a round of awesome listener questions. Optimuspete asks us about our collection sizes, william-james88 asks which we like to transform more, TR or RID deluxes, and SW's SilverHammer asks whether Evangelion would have been better if MP10 Eva mode was canon. Thanks for the questions, listeners.
Did someone say head-canon?
We take a slight detour to discuss the recently revealed Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee, and then Combiner Force Crash Combiners. Do we view either of these with anticipation, or with a lurking sense of disappointment?
The only movie Bumblebee you'll ever need. We hope.
On a more serious note: Mastermind Creations Tarn and their many IDW styled releases like him, a missed opportunity for Hasbro? With the popularity of More Than Meets the Eye and other ongoing comics, is the continued reliance on obscure G1 (see Krok & Quake, above) sustainable? Does the MP-ification of Generations leave an opening for 3rd Parties that Hasbro will have difficulty wresting back?
Opportunities await.
Enough of comics characters - let's get on to some actual comics. Revolutionaries is hitting stands, and the Twincast has plenty opinions on this crossover. Most of them... unkind. We love hearing from you - let us know your thoughts in the forums below.
Melodramatic, indeed.
Was Getaway right? That's the burning question on our minds as we await for Lost Light #2, with the namesake topic of this episode arriving at last. With the expected eventual reappearance of the mutineers, we debate their controversial actions. Was their betrayal a well intended effort, a malicious revenge plot, or something else? Regardless of the motivation, was it the right move? Was Megatron sorry all along and truly misunderstood by a large portion of the ship's crew? You can even let us know where you stand on this using social media with the hashtags #GetawayWasRight or #MegatronWasSorry.
This guy.
Bragging Rights is here. What has everyone gotten since their last recording?
Can you guess?
We'll be back in approximately two weeks to wildly speculate on Toy Fair 2017, talk about next week's comics like Optimus Prime #3, and much more!

Welcome to the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast and the first episode of 2017 - "Through The Space Hole". The crew this episode features ScottyP as host, as well as Razorclaw0000 and recurring guest podcaster Mr. Starscream, who listeners will recognize from our IDW comic-centric podcast episodes of the past.
Episode #163 "Through The Space Hole" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
The show kicks off with some major comics catch up on the table. A fantastic duo of Scotty P and Razorclaw start out by talking about new sensation hearthrob series Till All Are One, with both issue 5 and issue 6 being available to readers. Discussion includes the title's place in the proper comic universe, the way it expands said universe, and just how creepy Elita really is. Please be aware that as always, all comics talk in the show may contain complete spoilers for certain issues!
Not Optimus Prime's Girlfriend
After that, the comics march continues with a dive into the newly launched Optimus Prime series, and dissect issues 1and 2, discussing the art style, character appearances, and the larger implications of the series. Also, a lobster rides a sports car and we slide in some oily references to things that you probably wouldn't want your mother to hear.
Sumptous Art
After adding in the formidable Mr. Starscream to right the ship, the team gets to the relaunched Lost Light and its premier issue 1, and intense speculation on the foreshadowing therein. Prepare to confront and repel us after this topic for the massive space hole in the conversation that occurs. Why is that? Well, we completely forgot about Anode and Lug due to all the foreshadowing!
I hope the show isn't this dull
A brief interlude finds the Twincast podcasters achieving Total Brand Awareness, with that loveable MP3 finding a new job in the process. Suffice it to say that if you haven't read the amazing More Than Meets The Eye: Revolution yet, the laughter here may just convince you that it's time.
Josh Boyfriend is into G1?
Shifting gears, we discuss the reveals of Titans Return Kup and his casemates, Krok and Quake, as well as the other Wave 4 reveals. You didn't think we'd go a whole show without toys, did you? Some of the speculation here is out of date already, but at least there was always that twelve hours where Krok was just an oversized Gatoraider in our minds.
Quakin' in ma boots
Closing out the toy talk is a lengthy discussion of MP Camo Black Bape Convoy, including how to get it and some of the difficulties of the earlier BAPE releases. Hang out and find out just how out of touch some of your favorite podcast pals are(n't).
Definitely not Sleep Convoy
Finally, we wrap up the show with holiday bragging rights. Did we get Transformers for the holidays? Did we give them? Maybe there was a little bit of both. Plus - can you figure out the mystery counterpunching so hardcore, we had to delete it from the show's audio? Probably, but don't tell anyone.
Coming soon to Hascon: companion pieces?
Thanks for listening!
