Adding to the Bayhem post from yesterday, we have some more Transformers: The Last Knight tidbits to report, through various social media accounts from cast and crew. First up, a new name joins the cast: Doctor Who alumna Elizabeth Croft, as production continues in London.

From another British cast member, Laura Haddock, we have a look at a new prop from the set, in the shape of a skull with a laurel crown, skewered by a sword. What does it mean? We have no idea, but take a look and speculate away in the Energon Pub!



And finally, if you happen to be in the UK and fancy your chances at being an extra on the Paramount and Michael Bay movie, why not take a look at the Casting call right here. What type of extra role? Vaguely historically inaccurate generic medieval soldiers and knights, on both the Saxon and Arthur's sides of a battle, but also main speaking roles and film crew spots - more info below!

The Paramount Pictures feature film “Transformers: The Last Knight” has completed filming in Detroit, and is moving on to London, England to continue filming. There is an official casting call seeking males over 16 years of age who have long hair and/or beards to portray medieval soldiers and knights in an epic battle sequence that will film between October 3rd and October 14, 2016. To be considered, all talent MUST have legal eligibility to work in the entertainment industry in London, and the documentation and resources are available here. “Transformers: The Last Knight”, will center on the previously unknown connection between giant alien robots from the planet Cybertron and the mythical court of fifth century English monarch King Arthur. This film is currently using the working title of “E75”.

Transformers movie fan SlyTF1 dropped by to let us know that Micheal Bay's Instagram account has been updated with a new video showing off a brand new camera that is being used on the set of Transformers: The Last Knight. The new camera is a small, handheld, high-quality camera and is considered the most advanced of its kind. They affectionately named the camera "Bayhem" and put it through its paces in the United Kingdom filming a big explosive scene. Check out the video by going to the link below!

Up next, we decided to change things up a bit and dive right in to some listener questions which reminds us...too much is never enough. When can collections go too far, and have any of the crew had to identify that moment in their own lives?

After that, we bring the mood down a little and tug at your heartstrings with a few stories of when collecting was not all fun and games. We come out the other end looking for positives and lessons, so who knows, this podcast might just teach you something this week.



The new Robots in Disguise "Clash of the Transformers" toys are starting to hit shelves and a few of us were lucky enough to get their hands on a few. We share our impressions and briefly discuss the high and low points of each character, ponder about instructions, and get completely stumped trying to identify an axe.



The TFCC exclusive Skywarp has started to arrive with a very interesting package. We've also received the last 2 figures in this years TFCC Subscription Service, Impactor and (Blue) Bluestreak but with only 4 months left in 2016, will Sub Service 5 make it? The crew discusses this, plus gives their overall impression on these newest club figures. Also: unused Beast Wars Uprising concepts, and the groaning that follows.



The SDCC exclusives hit Hasbro Toy Shop on August 9th, but something was different this year. There didn't seem to be a rush to get the exclusives. Why was this, and why did one podcaster go 'all-in' with this year's products anyhow?



Thanks to Toys R Us Canada, we've seen a sort-of surprise sneak peak of the upcoming Titans Return Doublecross. With not much to go on, the speculation starts to run wild as we hope for better looks of upcoming toys very soon.



We close out this episode with a segment you cannot possibly be prepared for. What is this crazy segment, you may wonder? Well, it involves the Battle Beasts.

It's been another weekend, another late Thursday night has come and gone, and you know what that means? Another work week. But to help you along to the next weekend, we’ve got some Transformers related comics, Beast Wars, Fort Max, Unicron, and toy packaging content for you to listen in on, and then share your ideas and thoughts about in this episode’s thread.

Leading us though this journey is ScottyP, who’s joined by the always introspective, Counterpunch, and mitten-state dwelling daddios, RodimusConvoy13 and Tigertrack. And Rom the Spaceknight.

Our first chat is about the most recent issue of Transformers #54, and new phoenix series Transformers: ’TIl All Are One #1 (from the ashes of Windblade comes…) and of course, not to be left out a little something we like to call More Than Meets the Eye, issue #54. As we learn bits and pieces more about it, our team returns to talk a little more about ‘The Revolution’, MASK, and Rom the Spaceknight.



The group breaks into comic book discussion on the lighter side talking about Transformers #54 (or Robots in Disguise, whatever you refer to it as) and whether the current arc is getting any better or not. We definitely treat this one pretty lightly, but you can expect SPOILERS in each issue…if you don’t want to hear them time for some fast forwarding. We’ve got reviews for these three issues on site as well (Review for TF #54, Review for TAAO #1, and Review for MTMTE #54) if you want to read some more about these issues.

What is Galvatron’s final play…does he have a trump card or is it all on the table? Will Superion ever combine again? Are Optimus Prime and Starscream on even footing now (both chosen ones in the eyes of the Titans)? Is this how you pictured COMBINER WARS playing out?



The newest series in the Transformers family is ’Til All Are One’, the phrase that meant a lot in the beloved 1986 movie, and since has been re-uttered in the new movies, cartoons, and other media a little ad nauseum. This is the rebirth of the Windblade series as something that maybe isn’t supposed to be so Windblade-centric, but more about new era Cybertron united and its Council of Worlds.




The launch issue focuses in on events and characters related to Swindle and what he may or may not have known, and how it is effecting Starscream, the Combaticons, and the rest of Cybertron.

We ask pretty obvious questions like, “Is Swindle still alive?”, “Who is DC- 357?”, but introspectively Counterpunch brings to point Starscream, and his precariously balanced leadership position.

And MTMTE… so many questions, and many answers… which lead to more questions. Our big question, “Should Megatron die?”, and related to that “Will Megatron actually die in issue #55?” Some awesome hypotheses on what’s in this hollow planet and where RUNG and NIGHTBEAT are during all this super-powered fighting and action and what does CHOOM, CHOOM, CHOOM signal to us.



To wrap up the comic discussion, we talk more REVOLUTION, since we received some new solicits, we look into our crystal balls again and decide if the TRANSFORMERS universe is getting a soft reboot, no reboot, or a very hard reboot. And ROM the Spaceknight.



Whew. That was a lot.

*Writer's Note*- not in the podcast though- I wanted to give some love to Nick Roche who is creating some truly awesome stuff for Transformers fans and recently went through a series of very traumatic and wonderful events causing the delay in a product we were really anxious for. Nick recently shared his trials and triumphs in a blogpost. We love you brother, be well, and enjoy the new addition. Thank you for all of your efforts in these times.



On to our Beast Wars Re-Watch, Re-Action, “my queen”. This time we watched episode 18, ‘Spider’s Game’, and episode 19, ‘Call of the Wild’. “Defend the hive!” These episodes introduced the ever cool, very memorable, or not, but ultimately hot, pyromaniac loyalist— INFERNO (no not that INFERNO, which is also very cool, but not talked about this time)! Not everyone thinks Inferno is so awesome though, and we discuss the introduction of this new soldier and his place in Predacon history. And Rom the Spaceknight.



We briefly reach into our creative bags and throw some paint schemes out there for the new PLATINUM EDITION UNICRON and KRANIX. Clown Unicorn was my favorite, but Scotty preferred the Rom colored one (not actual things, listen for our ideas).


Oh my, SDCC is coming soon, and we share what version of TITAN MASTERS FORTRESS MAXIMUS we want the most to be our Fortress… SDCC with sword, fancy paint, and very Fortress looking Cerebro (and very hard/expensive to get if you aren’t at SDCC or know someone going), the regular HASBRO release; without sword, and with REBIRTH accurate Cerebros, which should be a little more plentiful but will probably be hard like Metroplex to find locally at retail (but not harder than SDCC or TT), or the general release Takara Tomy Fort Max with no sword that we know of—except 100 lucky folks in China, and a HEADMASTERS accurate Fortress looking Cerebros. As before with Metroplex, there may still be more versions coming in the Asian market for different conventions that are not yet announced.



You’d think this would be enough, but nope, we finally delve into a topic led by Counterpunch that breaches the world of packages… Transformers toy packages that is. The best? The worst? What in packaging attracts you? What turns you off? What packages do you keep or do you just throw it all away?



We end this jam session with some bragging about our BEST most recent purchases that are at least 10 years old, well that’s how it starts anyway…

Tokyo Toy Show just happened, and many new toys from Takara Tomy were revealed. The cast takes a look at all the latest, such as Ginrai, Unite Warriors Lynx Master, Ratchet, and more. New toy time even manages to leave out Thrust, because there just might be some other Masterpiece news to turn to...



That's right, Masterpiece Cheetor has been revealed! This upcoming cat has, so far, blown us away, with a supremely show accurate look and a transformation that we take quite awhile trying to figure out. The only thing for sure is that the release of this kitty can't come fast enough, especially when we start thinking about the Universe version and the fun-but-dated Beast Wars original.



Beast Wars keeps on grabbing attention with the ongoing re-watch of Season 1 continuing full steam ahead. After an extremely brief look at Dinobot clones in episode 14, the birth of Airazor in Episode 15 takes over. The spark is strong with this one, as Rhinox takes us along into actual plot, suspense, excitement, and world building.



The two part episode "The Trigger" comes next, and the crew analyzes the continued world building, character, and plot progressions brought about by this well loved pair of episodes. Seibertron does join us at this point as well, and we jump back to some of the earlier topics once again before coming back around full circle to Beast Wars.



With Beast Wars Tuesdays about to take over Seibertron this summer, we look at both the recent new galleries for Magnaboss, and look back at some of our favorite import beast toys. Are they all going to be the weird molds, or does a repaint or two manage to make its way into our superlatives?



The show changes gears at this point and takes a look at one of the more controversial recent developments in the world of Transformers. Much has been made about the Revolution coming our way - what does the Twincast make of these developments? Are we pleased as punch, or ready to punch a wall?



The shared universe concept looks to be upcoming for the Michael Bay directed Transformers live action movie franchise as well, with ROM the Space Knight looking to be a key piece. Get a short history lesson on ROM as we continue on our lengthy speculation and discussion about our hopes, fears, and dreams with the potential of a universe featuring robots, more robots, little guys, transforming vehicles, and a Real American Hero.



The possibilities of fun new characters is endless, and with Club Ramjet arriving this week to Collectors' Club members as well, the cast thinks about what characters from ~ '99-'07 most need some updates. Whether it's updated fiction, a deeper backstory, a new toy, or some combination of these, tune in to hear who and what we'd like to see get the spotlight.



An interlude into the world of Takara Tomy's Transformers Adventure line follows, with Scotty and Seibertron waxing poetic about this amazingly fun toy line. New stuff like Crazybolt and Mini-cons everywhere take center stage as we just hang out and talk about fun toys for awhile. Will you be looking more into this line after listening?

Fellow Seibertronian Bumblebee21 found the beginning of the marketing campaign from Paramount for Transformers: The Last Knight - starting on Twitter and Instagram - which featured a message in morse code over a United States State Department torn image, with the writing 'File no. 21.63 Date: 10'. The message translates as 'I M COMING FOR YOUHUMANS.MAY31'.

What are we to expect from this? Speculate away in the Energon Pub!

NEW YORK (April 28, 2015) – Vimeo today announced a collaboration with Hasbro Studios to offer digital collections of classic animation series from the Hasbro Classic Collection, including fan favorites Transformers: Generation 1and Jem – both available now on Vimeo On Demand. Fans of the beloved franchises have the option to buy individual episodes for $2.99, rent for 24-hours for $.99, or purchase the entire series for $40. Additionally, the collaboration will bring hundreds of episodes across 13 Hasbro Studios franchises to Vimeo On Demand through 2015. For the first time, fans of popular animation series like Jem, G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, and Transformers can now own every episode in one organized collection on Vimeo to watch anytime across any device.

Hasbro Studios titles coming to Vimeo On Demand include:

Jem and the Holograms: When Jerrica Benton inherits Starlight Music and Starlight House, a home for foster girls, she also inherits Synergy, a holographic computer designed by her late father to be "the ultimate audiovisual entertainment synthesizer." Using holograms, Synergy helps Jerrica and her pals become Jem and the Holograms, a pop band. They battle other bands, like the Misfits and the Stingers, to keep the Starlight Foundation going -- while keeping Jem's real identity secret! Pound Puppies: In this series, the mission of a team of fearless dogs is to find homes for puppies in need. Their motto is “A pup for every person and a person for every pup.” The Pound Puppies appear to be “average dogs” keeping the humans who are running Shelter 17 in the dark while helping “dog-kind” find loving families. B-Daman Crossfire: Riki Ryugasaki is just an ordinary boy who loves mystery and adventure. Then one day he is introduced to a game called "B-Daman" by his friend, Sumi. He gets to choose a B-Daman of his own and picks the blue dragon, Dracyan. When he charges Dracyan, he receives an invitation to a secret tournament called "Crossfire.” (Available later in 2015)
