Real-time combat strategy mobile game Transformers: Earth Wars is rolling out its Beast Wars update this month featuring a series of new characters and events, culminating in the arrival of Optimus Primal and Megatron T-Rex on April 20. The Beast Wars story centers around Grimlock, who decides to bring Transformers back from the future. Grimlock gets it wrong and brings characters from the past -- Beast Wars characters! Players who are HQ Level 4 and up can unlock this story through weekly events, and by leveling up their characters.
To celebrate the update, Beast Wars TV show and game writer Simon Furman will be doing a livestream on Thursday, April 6 at 4pm UTC to explore the saga. Fans can tune in to the livestream by visiting: twitch.tv/transformersearthwars.
Transformers: Earth Wars is published by Backflip Studios (DragonVale, Ninjump, Paper Toss) and developed by Space Ape Games (Rival Kingdoms, Samurai Siege). We get our first look at the giant three headed Dragon toy from The Last Knight, which we previously saw here. This appears to be the same kind of simplified toy as the Age of Extinction giant one step Grimlock with very limited articulation and hollow plastic (as can be seen on the legs). Also, a promotional shot of the full extent of the line was shown.
We also have our fist look at the electronic All Spark tech toys. These are all spark cubes which can recognize the character they are in and if the toy is in alt mode or robot mode.
The conference then covered all the Transformers related digital gaming coming our way, and how it's part of the storytelling process.
They also discussed their expansion across China, already in action since Age of Extinction.
Here is a look at the merchandising angle the brand is taking, in terms of officially licensed merch and apparel.
We also got our first look at Robots in Disguise Combiner Force Bruticus!
And they even revealed the Combiner Force Ultra Bee's toy
The future of live events was also discussed, though not in any detail.

Many of these shows air on Discovery Family Channel and on networks in more than 180 territories globally. Since its formation in 2009, the studio has received nine Daytime Emmy wins.
On the film side, the studio has developed and produced a number of features based on Hasbro's brands. In addition to partnering with leading studios, the Company intends to make movies based on new and existing Hasbro brands for audiences globally through the Allspark Pictures film label.
