Seibertron.com member Pretender Skywarp had sent Hasbro UK an e-mail earlier this week asking if the highly anticipated Masterpiece Grimlock will make it to UK stores, Hasbro UKs reply was that they had no information regarding its release. So he sent an e-mail to Toysrus UK, his e-mail and their response can be found here:

Well this is a surprise. Reports are coming in that Transformers Animated Wave 6 figure Fireblast Grimlock (dig the link to our Vector Sigma Database) has been spotted at US retail in Hope Vally, RI. The fiery Dinobot Commander was bought at a Stop&Shop, however the other new addition to Wave 6 has not yet to be seen - Soundwave

Target- Transformers Mighty Muggs Wave 2 has started to hit Target stores.

Wave 2 features a couple of favorite characters in Grimlock and Starscream.

Mighty Muggs are the deformed versions of characters that mostly are created with the same body type, with weapons or features added to make them specific to individual characters.

Of course, for those that like their Transformers to transform these are probably not for you, but for those with interest in specific characters, you may want to go and try your local Target to see if you can find these. Wave 1 featuring Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, and Bumblebee is already available in stores.

Cybertron.ca is reporting that Wave 1 of the Transformers Mighty Muggs and 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime have been released at Canadian Retail. You can post your sightings of these items by clicking here.

I myself can can confirm these sightings as I saw them in an Ontario Walmart this morning. As usual Canadian packaging falls short of superior U.S. packaging.

The Mighty Muggs Transformers come in a generic package sporting the box front of Mighty Muggs Optimus Prime for all four wave 1 characters. Interestingly enough, the back is just a suggested sell (much the same as Movie, Universe and Animated Deluxe packaging) of both wave 1 and 2 figures including Grimlock and Starscream indicating that they aren't far behind their wave 1 counterparts.

What is probably the most interesting thing is 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime. While the packaging isn't as nice and doesn't include the DVD it does have something the U.S. version doesn't have. A properly painted Optimus Prime! Will this make this a more popular eBay catch, or will it matter to collectors outside of Canada?

Reports came in tonight about Universe Onslaught and Powerglide being released in Canada. Being the news hound that I am, I decided to take a look for myself.

Tonight at the Heartland Walmart in Mississauga I found Universe Ultras Onslaught & Powerglide along side with Voyagers Blaster and Heavy Load.

What is strange about these sightings is that they are in U.S. packaging and not the tri-lingual packaging Canadians have come to expect.

Along side these figures were a boat load of Animated Wave 3 Deluxe figures (Oil Slick, Autobot Jazz, Soundwave and Snarl) and Wave 3 Voyager figures (Grimlock and Lugnut) and one sole box of Roll Out Command Optimus Prime.

The second wave of Transformers Animated Voyager Class figures are out in Canada. Wave 2 is identical to wave one with one addition, Earth Mode Optimus Prime!

Expected out within the month are Voyagers Lugnut and Grimlock to round out your Animated figures until the Wave 3 Deluxes and Blitzwing hit the shelves sometime in July-August.
