Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your super sober host ScottyP, Megatronus, and xRotorstormx - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #133 “2015 Superlatives“ is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start with what rocked our 2015: toys, media, personal acquisitions... Our highlights may surprise you. But then again, you might have seen some of that big green coming.
That face says it all. No, I'm not talking about the kid.
Next, we switch up the format with a battery of listener questions:
Ionrac asks: if you were putting together a display, on a single, if large, shelf space (tall enough for Fort Max or Metroplex), how would you approach it?
We all just want to zoom cars around cities, really.
Stuartmaximus asks: are you super excited for The Force Awakens & are you going to see it on opening day?
Seibertron.com Staff Member williamjames-88 asks: with Hasbro back in the business of reissuing G1 toys, what should they get down to reissuing in the coming years?
Daily Double: This news-post picture addresses multiple listener questions.
We interrupt our regularly scheduled program (actually, the show segue is unusually natural!) for some holiday bragging rights. What deals did the Twincast snag this holiday season? We had our eyes on the prize this time around.
Trypticon: triple-changer AND tri-lingual. That's a good dino.
Unite Warriors Grand Galvatron is turning a few heads. The crazy assortment of Combiner Wars redecoes and retools is nutty, but is it attractive enough to buy? Listen to hear the Twincast's verdict on this set.
The comic helps, and almost makes sense!
We polish off this episode with our thoughts on the recently released Combiner Wars Combaticons. Long story short: awesome-sauce.
The B Team. (The B, uh, stands for Bruticus.)
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP, Megatronus, Tigertrack, Counterpunch, and Jon3.0 - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #132 “Watch Out For The Stinger" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start with
Sins of the Wreckers #1 - you can read our own
Seibertron.com review here. We gush over the art the story, the twists. Wreck and rule - spoilers ahead.
Hustlin'.
We have
More Than Meets The Eye #47 on our minds (review
here). Cyclonus and Tailgate are entangled in a plot to eliminate a fellow Lost Lighter. Will they reunite at the very moment they are farthest apart?
Getting the band back together.
The big toy news is the announcement of Titan Class, Titans Returns Fortress Maximus. As the Twincast crew pores over the leaked images and (alleged) sales slide for Fort Max and deducts release dates and base modes, one thing seems to be clear: we will be buying it.
Fort Max heeds the call of Hasbro's Marketing Department.
Fan Vote? Don’t mind if we do! In the tradition of Windblade and Victorian, Hasbro opened up voting for the next Titan Class figure to us, the loyal and oh-so opinionated fans. Who did the Twincast vote for?
#VoteTrypticon
In more Titans Returns news, we have images of the upcoming Powermaster Optimus Prime, a heavy retool of Combiner Wars Leader Class Ultra Magnus (Seibertron.com Galleries can be found
here). Is the Twincast impressed? Listen and find out.
Fancy Photoshop!
Another reveal: Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus, monkey arms and all. Some eagerly await his arrival… others demand G2 Defensor. Don’t worry Tigertrack, it’s coming.
Swindle Lives!
Mini-Cons, Fracture, Overload, Crazybolt… RID seems to have it all. Are these your go-to Saturday morning companions, or merely oddball additions to your TF:Prime shelves?
Beast mode? Let’s go with ‘puking frog’.
We’re going to skip over what Counterpunch calls ‘Hipster Garbage’ and right onto to Million Publishing Dogfight and Runamuck. Tiny robots… hefty price tag. Will the Twincast crew be picking these guys up?
Prices runamuck. That’s right, I went there.
We finish up the Twincast with some bragging rights. What did everyone get since the last recording?
Something to be thankful for.

Welcome to the latest edition of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. This episode features your host for the evening, Counterpunch along with Megatronus, ScottyP and Rotorstorm rounding out the chat on a laid back evening. Relax, take a seat and enjoy as we discuss all the latest news, toys, comics and more in the world of Transformers.
Episode #131 "The Darkest Timeline" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start this episode off with some hot off the press news from the Transformers Collectors Club. With just under 5 months to go, the
Botcon 2016 brochure is now available. We'll run through our thoughts on package pricing, exclusives and the events taking place in Louisville, KY next year.
Of course, with the brochure now available, we can only assume registration is on the horizon...so be prepared!
Up next,
MTMTE #46 was released this week along with a
preview for MTMTE #47. Tune in to hear our comic aficionados break down the lastest happenings and hopes for the future storyline.
After being delayed a bit, Masterpiece Tracks has finally started to arrive and many of us are anxiously awaiting this beautiful blue vette. ScottyP was lucky enough to get Tracks before the rest of the cast, so you'll have to tune in to hear his in hand thoughts on this latest MP release.
In other Masterpiece news, coming on the heels of Ironhide is none other than
Ratchet.
A new wave of
Robots in Disguise mini-cons have been revealed along with a bevy of interesting animation renders and names within the latest update for the
RID smartphone app
And now it's time for something a little different. Counterpunch has a special topic tonight that you surely do not want to miss. With "Classics" or Generations styled figures now being the main focus of the Transformers toy line for Hasbro's collector focused branding, are us old-timers with a decade's worth of these toys already thoroughly occupied? Within this framework, the cast also discusses the new Robots in Disguise line and our thoughts on its place in the collecting world.
Moving on...let the rumor mill begin! Recently, Hasbro registered the trademarks for CybertronCon, currently the name of their Transformers convention in Asia. Does this mean anything? (No.) Is there a change to Botcon coming down the pike? (Probably not.) The Twincast has their take on this latest "development".
This episode's listener question comes from SW's Silverhammer and it has to do with some amusing knock offs. Will Dolphins fulfill their bloodlust for Transformer podcaster souls? Is Overlord and Star Saber's baby better off in the Korean box or the original Russian? What on Earth is this paragraph talking about?
Of course, we close out this episode with a round of bragging rights! What have the guys (and this gal) gotten their hands on since last episode? Have I opened anything lately, and why not? You'll have to tune in to find out.
Well, that wraps things up for another episode! We really hope you enjoyed listening.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. For your listening pleasure we have our host, ScottyP, along with "The man who finally got a deluxe of his namesake", Megatronus, and our "Two podcasters from the Great White North who couldn't make it to TFCon", xRotorstormx and RodimusConvoy13. Listen as they give you their takes on the latest and greatest in Transformers news.
Episode #130 "Retools" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Starting off in the exciting world of comics, we discuss
Transformers #46. Learn who is a fan of Blackrock and what we think of Uncomfortable Prime. All that plus some thoughts on the Mistress of Flame and what she represents await in our discussion of this (mostly) new release.
A giant leap is coming, is he ready?
Transformers: Redemption comes up after that. Between some cool crossover pages, story development, and new characters, there's a lot of cool that the cast found in this new release. There's also an intense discussion on Mad Max: Fury Road, so do remember to tell Scotty why he's wrong about it in the Energon Pub by replying to this post.
Slag? Slug? ... Don't call me Mad Max
We move on to a new masterpiece reveal: Masterpiece Ramjet! We dive right into Takara Tomy's first MP Conehead and discuss the intricacies of the head transformation, if we think he's too much like the cartoon, and cheekbones. Yes, cheekbones. You'll want to tune in for this oddly complex tale of speculative reverse engineering.
You wanna say something about my face to my face??
Next up is Combiner Wars Wave 4, specifically, concerns about Wheeljack. Is a Transformers/Powder crossover coming this many years after that movie you forgot about? No, but it's fun to kid around with this (we hope) early test shot.
Ha ha, not enough of the alloy! Wheeljack is still going to be infected with the Hate Plague.
That's not all for re-painted and re-tooled toy reveals, as we next look at e-Hobby Legends Deadlock. Do we like him? Is he purty? Yes. Yes.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the sword and the guns.
Had enough toy talk yet? Good! Because there's more. The conversation moves on to the Transformers Collectors' Club Subscription Service Krok and the bonus "mystery" figure, which we completely spoil if you've somehow managed to avoid that reveal so far. What works about this figure? What doesn't? What is the mysterious origin of Shakar? Do we still care now that we know?
One killer Krok.
Botcon 2016 is next, and we give our thoughts on the soon to be revealed (as of the recording) Sea Clamp. Do we think he's the best torso bot to use? We also share our feelings on his boxset-mate Cicadacon. Tune in before the crippling blow of reality swayed our opinions in other directions (or not).
Sea Clamp owes me Lobster Money.
After the toy talk we move on to a listener question. WilliamJames88 asks how we feel when a less expensive, possibly better version of a character is released after we've gotten the more expensive exclusive. We tell you what to think!-- oh wait, what we think. Sorry.
Will you still love me tomorrow?
We finish out with some bragging rights. What did we get? Were they Transformers? Of course they were!
Am I blue? Or am I blue?
With that we wrap up another episode, and we'll see you all again in a couple weeks.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. This episode features your host Counterpunch leading the way through a big group huddled around a recorder at TFcon USA 2015. Appearances from regulars Jon 3.0, Megatronus, Razorclaw0000, Scotty P, and Seibertron are also on tap, plus recurring guest Paul F, and Mooncake623 from our News Staff also makes his podcast debut! The second half of the episode then lets you listen in on TFcon USA's multi-podcast panel, featuring the Twincast's Scotty P among several Transformers podcasters from around the web.
Episode #128 "TFcon USA 2015" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
On the Saturday night of TFcon USA 2015 in Charlotte, NC, a group gathered in Scotty P's hotel room for a special group activity: podcast recording.
Not this. Podcasting.
For this one, we're huddled around an ottoman with a small recorder, enjoying adult beverages and looking back on our first couple days of the show. This is your warning if you don't enjoy these types of episodes!
Your Twincast crew! Well, most of it.
We'll talk about the show's venue, the dealer room, as well as how the show compared to other Transformers conventions that we'd been to over the years. Plus, hear about the first-time convention experience from Megatronus and Mooncake623.
The smile says it all.
In the second half of the show, we've inserted a copy of the audio from the TFcon USA multi-podcast panel. On this panel, Seibertron's own Scotty P talks with other panelists Jeremy from the
Transmissions Podcast, Bobby Skullface from
Shattered Cast Uncut, and Rob Springer and Diecast from
Radio Free Cybertron. Tune in as we chat briefly about the convention, the toys there, and the world of Transformers podcasting. This one also didn't have a strict agenda, so the free-form conversation rolls on!
How many more Scotty P jokes will go unlaughed at? Many.
Stay tuned very, very soon for another special episode of the Twincast / Podcast.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. This special episode has Scotty P and Seibertron's News Administrator Va'al chatting with IDW Transformers comic author Nick Roche.
Episode #129 "Nick Roche Talks Sins of the Wreckers" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Yes, you read right, this episode is all about the upcoming Transformers: Sins of the Wreckers from IDW Comics, and the author himself joins us to talk about the book and what it might bring readers. First up though, we'll tackle the truly hard questions about hotels and hard "ch" sounds.
Every interview and article with him uses this photo and it's really old but it's a good stock photo and we have to keep the joke alive.
The conception of the book is discussed next, as we learn what might have been in the past had this book come sooner. Why is it coming out now, and how heavy do our expectations weigh on its creator? Answers lie within the show, but we can go ahead and tell you that after this segment, you'll want to pretend it was good even if it turns out otherwise.
It was always destiny.
You may have noticed some familiar characters from other IDW Transformers titles in both previews, covers, and solicitations for Sins of the Wreckers. Nick lets us know what books you should read before, what books you should read during, and even sheds some light on how toys relate to IDW's plans.
Could've left off this black paint if it weren't for con exclusives.
Stakeout, Kup, and Wreckerleaks take center stage next. Why is Stakeout involved, and what might he have been doing all this time in the background? What's a "Wreckerleak" anyway? Does this megalomaniac author have any remorse for the torture of Kup? Find out these answers, plus what Prowl may or may not know already. Whatever you do, be sure to brush up on the IDW iteration of Kup before the release of Sins of the Wreckers.
You mean you didn't read Spotlight: Kup?
It's well known already that one of the most popular human characters from IDW Transformers will make an appearance once again in Roche's upcoming mini-series. Will Verity die? Like he could tell us now if we asked! You will find out more about her involvement, as well as Roadbuster's appearance, Whirl's lack of one, and even a bit about the color work on the book set to come our way from the one and only Josh Burcham.
All her fault? Basically, yeah. Maybe Prowl's too.
The mood of the landscapes in the book comes into play next in our discussion. Everything goes well until John Barber out-Christmases us, so then we just play sing-along with The Audio Knights Theatre and the interview ends. Only one of the things in this paragraphs actually happens, but tuning in will explain the insanity of the rest of it!
The last metroid is in captivity. The galaxy, is at peace.
The Transformers talk starts to wind down, but before we leave it, we ask Nick about his chance to write one of IDW's most complex characters: Arcee. Did he want her around for a reason, or was this just happenstance due to events in other books? Or is it really just a case of picking up Mr. Barber's daughter for the dance? Unlike the last paragraph of this post, the questions posed here do get answered in the show.
We finish out by finding out how you can get the book, as well as who might just have given the first issue a "thumbs up" without bribery being involved.
Fairly sure this wasn't related to this. Fairly.
Oh, and there's even a little talk of the incredible
Monster Motors mini-series that Mr. Roche collaborated on with Brian Lynch. Look out world, the Motors are eyeballing heading to an independent theater in limited distribution just like
one of Lynch's other art house productions.
There are no Transformers in this book, ok?
Our very grateful "Thank You!" to Nick Roche for taking the time out and appearing on this episode with us. We hope you enjoy the show, and be sure to pick up Sins of the Wreckers from IDW Publishing this November. The Twincast will return in a couple weeks with more of our regularly scheduled programming, and you can be certain more comic book talk will follow then.
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. This episode features host Scotty P guiding cast members Counterpunch, Megatronus, Seibertron, and Tigertrack through the gauntlet of all the latest news and reveals from New York Comic Con 2015. Plus, Seibertron gets to sit down with the Hasbro Transformers brand team for a special Q&A session you won't want to miss!
Episode #127 "Titans Return" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
As you can probably infer from the episode title, Hasbro's Titans Return line shown off at NYCC 2015 is front and center for this episode. Follow along with the site's
extensive galleries of the product reveals from the event as we tackle it all in some form of order, including the individual Titan Masters themselves.
My other car is a drill tank.
We also analyze the Legends class figures, including the important questions. These include questions such as "What
does Rewind turn into?" and "Are these tablets also phones?" Well, ok, at least one of those gets asked along the way as we take a look at this upcoming pocket sized fun.
Next fall, the robot romance comes home
We can't forget about the Deluxe class figures of Headmasters coming our way either. Listen in to hear about the size of these guys directly from our crew that was on the ground at NYCC, as well as our other thoughts on the strategy and direction these may tell us about the line.
Does he also do stand-up in gator mode?
The Voyagers don't get left out either. Galvatron and Sentinel Prime go under the microscope, and also give us some hints about future uses of at least one of these molds. Also in this part of the show: Counterpunch goes bummin' on gimmicks.
The head can rotate here, but later?
We can't forget Blaster either, especially with his head being a homage to our program! Well, maybe it isn't, but we still have fun taking a look at this upcoming Leader class figure. Base mode speculation is also included here, as well as something else from Counterpunch: not bummin' on gimmicks.
You can change the face, but the visor remains
Nestled within our coverage of all the new toys is a special interview with the Hasbro Transformers Brand Team! Marketing Director Ben Montano, Senior Manager of Global Brand Marketing Sarah Carroll, Franchise Creative Lead David Erwin, Product Design Manager Ed Masiello, and Product Design Manager John Warden were all gracious enough to take a few minutes during their busy convention to sit down and chat with Seibertron. Listen in as he asks about Titans Return, Prime Wars, and more.
A sincere thanks again to our friends at Hasbro for taking out some valuable time to speak with us!
The show isn't all just NYCC fall out, as there is more going on in the world of Transformers to discuss, including the first two reveals from Botcon 2016's boxed set of toys.
Ravage and
Tarantulas are the first looks at the Dawn of the Predacus so far. Is the cast sold on the theme by these reveals, or do we still need some more convincing? Turns out we might just be a bit weary on combiners after all. Listen in for our thoughts on these first two limbs.
But what does the red Predacon symbol mean?
There was also a new Transformers video game released last week, and some of the cast has picked it up and started to dive in to this new adventure. Tune in for our somewhat (though not entirely) spoiler-free review of Activision and Platinum Games'
Transformers: Devastation. We even touch on some gameplay hints and tricks. Who knew there were game reviewers lurking on this show?
Get ready to go to Sunbow City
Bragging Rights come next, and with them, a long show gets longer. After that, Scotty refuses to let the show end by rambling on about who knows what for several minutes.
That's not a Transformer...
Hope you have fun with this one, we'll see you again very soon with our haphazard ramblings from TFcon weekend!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP, xRotorstormx, Megatronus, and baby daddy RodimusConvoy13 - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #126 "False Finish" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start with
Windblade #7 - you can read our own
Seibertron.com review here. Listen as we discuss what we like about the issue, what we dislike about the series, and what we hope to see in the ongoing continuation of this storyline in
'Til All Are One.
Classic Starscream.
Next up, the next entry in the Masterpiece line: Clampdown? This out of left field redeco harks back to the eHobby exclusive, but where's Deep Cover? Also, can we get an MP Barricade? We quickly turn to a recent teaser:
a new MP Hot Rod. Squeals of joy ensue.
He's champin' for a clampin'!
Unite Warriors Groove is the bees' knees, or Defensor's, anyways. The Twincast continues to grow excited about this release, but are we willing to pay the hefty price tag for the Takara set? Will Hasbro save us with an individual release? What about a Junkion combiner... for the win?
It's as if Steve McQueen were his own motorcycle.
In-hand images of Combiner Wars Bruticus are upon us. Some are impressed, and others are, well... spoiled. What does the Twincast crew think of this combiner, or better yet, the interesting molds and characters that compose him?
Swindle Lives!
It's time… for a LISTENER QUESTION! Seibertron member Nemesis Maximo asks: "Where are the [Classics] Dinobots? Why isn't this a thing? When will Hasbro give us this?" Great question. We might not have great answers, but as always, we have some speculation.
This is not what he means.
News staff member williamjames88 has a question of his own: "The general rule is that Takara has better decos, but when was it that you preferred the Hasbro version over the Takara version?" Our answers may surprise you. Listen in to hear what it's all about.
Not as obvious as you might think.
We finish up the Twincast with some bragging rights. What did everyone get since the last recording?
Shiny and chrome.
...
...
...
...
...
...
Wait! Hold it! We're not quite through. Just as we finished recording, prototype images of MP Hot Rod and MP Shockwave drop, and the internet explodes. ScottyP, Megatronus, and Seibertron reconvene to give some parting thoughts on these exciting developments.
"My reveal is only logical."
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP, Jon3.0, and Megatronus - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #125 "Wrinkles" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start with a brief note on the
location for Botcon 2016. Is the crew going? As we debate travel plans, drives, flights, and general availability, let us know: what should the theme and toys for this year's official Transformers Convention be?
Bourbon country!
The Club's Subscription Service 4.0 sign up period has come and gone, and Thunder Mayhem is upon us. That's right, the Mayhem Attack Squad's combined mode has been revealed. Is this what we wanted, or does a twinge of 'what could have been' haunt us? Listen and find out.
All hail the Thunderking!
Speaking of the Subscription Service, 3.0 Tarantulus has arrived, to the delight of the Twincast crew - check out our very own
Seibertron.com galleries. This is a fun little figure, but is he a good fit? Where does he go? As always, we've got some opinions on that.
It's gonna be clamp this, clamp that. Bada-climp, bada-clamp!
Comic time:
More Than Meets the Eye #44 is out about town, and we really, really liked it... which you may have suspected from ScottyP's
Seibertron.com Review. This one's symbolic, folks, so tune in as we debate the merits of Megatron, guilt, and intentions. Don't miss it.
Everyone knows Anakin Skywalker is the Chose One. Pshhhh.
Starting in February 2016, it's the Year of the Monkey according to the Chinese Zodiac, and that means another year of 'Year Of' exclusives. This time, it's Air Attack Optimus Primal done up in G1 Optimus Prime colors. We have some strong thoughts on this one. Rants, ho!
Trukk not Munky
Toy-talk-minor: Starscream-Super-Mode is the latest reveal in Takara's Legends line. Plus, prototypes of Combiners Wars Brawl and Onslaught have been leaked... someone's been naughty. These are pretty cool developments, but we're more excited for the final products.
Thundercracker, is that you?
We finish up the Twincast with some bragging rights. What did everyone get since the last recording? ScottyP gets excited. Really excited.
This episode, there is a clear winner.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your prodigal host Counterpunch, xRotorstormx, TigerTrack24, jON3.0, and Megatronus - listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #124 "Dogfight" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We start out with news from across the Atlantic - an intriguing, remarkably detailed
fan survey run by Hasbro UK, allegedly a result of feedback Hasbro received at this year's Auto Assembly. Several members of the Twincast filled out this survey, and boy do we have thoughts. All the thoughts. Also, what's this about 3rd Party items?
This seriously took a couple of hours.
We move on to toys, a staple of our friendly neighborhood podcast, starting with the TFCC Service 4.0 reveals. As of this writing,
Bludgeon is the latest Club reveal, and Twincast reactions are mixed. Is this the Bludgeon we're yearning for, or does he leave us wanting?
Faux-Pretender goodness.
Optimus Maximus is here! Combiner Wars wave 4, AKA the 1984 Autobots (
check out our very own Seibertron galleries, here), and Battle Core Optimus (
available at Amazon) are hitting shelves. Will the Twincast crew pick these up? More to the point, will these versions spur us to replace our Classics and Universe figures? It's a tough call, so tune in.
Yea buddy... we feel ya.
We've got some interesting redecos coming out of the Transformers Adventures line, including legends class
Override and Runabout, and the ever-stoic and much vaunted deluxe class
Vehicon General. These sweet rides have caught the Twincast's eye, so listen in to hear what we think about these speedsters... Megatronus makes the wrong choice.
Ugh. Dem stickers.
We've wound our way back to the MP line, and we still have some gripes about the upcoming and much debated MP-27 Ironhide. Is the Twincast crew capable of making peace with this figure? You're just a download away from finding out. Also, what's with this
red Bumblebee?
We want Cliffjumper!
We finish up the Twincast with some bragging rights. What did everyone get since the last recording - or even since two recordings ago?
Dat headsculpt.
