I completely agree, I didn't really have that much interest in iron hide but I'm very interested in ratchet and I think it has to do with that area.

I'm glad Ratchet finally has an MP, but this mold... just... I just can't summon any enthusiasm for it.

No more so than G1 already did (well, maybe just a bit more). Of course there's multiple scale charts so your milage may vary.

He's already up at BBTS for $89.99 listed for March.

I was hoping for a Ratchet from the same mold when Ironhide was announced.

Actually the scale is correct. Ironhide and Ratchet have always been taller than the cars. Check out the scale chart.
But if you want to keep diddling yourself out of the "perfect" G1 scale you say you crave then be my guest. Because that's the truth: the only way to get perfect G1 scale is to collect MPs.

Takara is on a roll, kicking out 6 MP's in 6 months. I wonder when we'll see more of that optimus primal that they teased half a year ago.

See, when put so eloquently it makes me forget he was blasted so easily on the shuttle to Autobot City in TF:TM. Ratchet was amazing in the G1 comics.Sabrblade wrote:Here he is, folks. I am glad he comes with the two pistols though, this time the Decepticons won't make it there!!
Sweet merciful crap I can't wait to stage some toys for some photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow he did all that?
Never followed the comics closely.
As for the figure itself I am stoked!!

Wow, somehow I missed that this mold was so large in bot mold but still fits in Prime's trailer in vehicle mode. Super cool.william-james88 wrote:
Ironhide didn't do much for me but Ratchet gives me a bad case of the wants. It's amazing what a different deco can do for a mold.

Best damned shot from the whole of the Marvel comics. A true badass who was more Autobot than the Marvel Prime. And I say, SCREW the Shuttle Massacre from that damned 1986 movie!
Bring on Ratchet!

Half a boss actually.
I like the Ironhide figure, but I'm really excited for Ratchet, almost as much as I am for Shockwave. I do wish they had played up MP-30 as a 30th anniversary movie figure. I almost wish they had made him MP-29R just to preserve the 30 spot even if he isn't an exclusive.

I am excited for Ratchet. My only beef is, I was hoping to get Ironhide in hand before I felt any pressure to pre-order the Doc. I almost liked it better when the MPs were slower to release. The bank account had more time to recover, and they felt more like a "big deal" when they finally came out.
It's raining MPs right now! pretty silly thing to complain about, really.

. Like how they incorporated the autobot insignia into the cross
. I love how he fits in Prime's trailer with sirens collapsed
. New accessories are great and different enough
. Underwear instead of Ironhides diapers

Although I anticipated a redeco of MP Ironhide to Ratchet will be happening, I certainly was not expecting so soon especially when TTomy just announced MP Hot Rod, Shockwave, or the Ramjet revelation. Looks like 2016 will be busy for MP figures, even my boy MP22 will get reissued in Feb.2016.
In regard to Ratchet, overall he looks a lot better than Ironhide, kind of strange, lol. Even his kibble doesn't look bad compare to poor Ironhide, lol, must be the white on white. The shoulder red cross insignia, it's a good approach by TTomy in diverging the copyright. My only minor regret, I wish they would've made the shoulder Autobot insignia much, much, smaller say the same size as the one on his front cab. That would allow the red cross line to be extended a little bit longer and also does not made the Autobot insignia too much of a distraction.
In short, I will be getting MP Ratchet as my MP Autobots will be needing their medic bot. Also, my Wheeljack will be happy to see his old friend. MP Ironhide, with my lack of space, I may be skipping him for the moment.

So is it safe to say the pelvic thrust DOESN'T drive you insane?

I would say that at the rate that they are now being issued, that it is an entirely relevant concern to voice. But with the delays each one gets, I wouldn't be so worried

Ironhide and Ratchet look great together in that pic above. Can't wait to have them in my collection! The Masterpiece series is quickly becoming my Transformers collecting priority.

Whoever sets them up for these events keeps forgetting to flip down the ab piece though.
