According to fellow fansite
Ozformers and its admin griffin, the second wave of Transformers Authentics have made it to Australian retail - and by second wave, we mean the entirety of the one 5 inch Grimlock figure with limited articulation, joining the likes of the 5-inch Authentics Bumblebee, Megatron, Optimus Prime and Starscream we have already seen released.
Read below the image for more details, along with some Bumblebee Movie toys also sighted in shops in Queensland, Australia, and join the discussion in the Energon Pub!
At Woolies Sunnybank yesterday (Friday), they had the second wave Grimlock for the small Authentics line.
And at Toyworld Macgregor (Saturday), they had every Bumblebee Movie toy from the launch wave (except the re-release voice changer masks)...
Energon Igniter Speed - $12
Energon Igniter Power - $20
Energon Igniter Power Plus - $30
Energon Igniter Nitro - $40
Titan Changer - $25
Tiny Changer - $6 (noting that their regular price is $10!)
DJ Bumblebee - $80
Power Charge Bumblebee - $99
Bee Vision helmet - $90 (noting that their regular price is $100)
Stinger Blaster - $40

The 4th series of Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers had been found in the US at several stores like Smith’s Marketplace and Target for $2.99. In Canada, they have been found at Walmart, today, for the same price. However, the codes have not been reported on his site yet. We have them now, which is quite helpful to those who only want a specific character. You will notice that this wave is particularly tied to the Bumblebee movie, and we now know why it includes a blue movie Soundwave.
A Autobot Ratchet
B Grimlock
C Dragonstorm
D Dropkick
E Scorn
F Bumblebee
G Chopper Mode Dropkick
H Soundwave
I Optimus Prime
J Dinobot Swoop
N Megatron
P Shatter
Here are images of the ones I picked up today in both modes with mini reviews for those curious.
Swoop
It's cool how any notion of the pteranodon dinobot being called Strafe is dropped here. While the robot mode looks stellar, the alt mode is really lacking. It does not help that they chose for the pteranodon to have a walking pose rather than a flight pose where the wings are outstretched.
Megatron
I like this one quite a bit. the bot mode is tall and imposing with nice sculpting all around. The alt mode exaggerates the visible head syndrome of the character model but it does so in an adorable. It's funny how this is very vertical for a toy I always assumed as more on the wide side (like a turtle). The transformation is surprisingly more involved than the other toys and even more odd than that, its torso can split and yet that aspect never comes into play for the transformation.
Dragonstorm
This is my favourite of the bunch. A lot of love went into the detail. They did not go cheap, giving us three sculpted dragon heads, that can be posed. The transformaton is cute and very effective. The two modes do look different enough from one to the next.
Volkswagen Bumblebee
Super cute in both modes! But the transformation is very lackluster. The front of the car splits into arms and you split his legs 1 milimeter.
Scorn
I like him more than others since I do not mind the dino mode as much. I like how the dino head fits onto the back spines to make a nice continuation. The waist articulation is fun and comes into play for the transformation. It's basically the most streamlined version of the AOE deluxe.

There is a lot of new Transformers sightings in Canada in the past week. The most important would be Power of the Primes Wreck-Gar, which is now confirmed to be an EB-Games exclusive (t)here. He is $24.99 CAD and $22.99 for Platinum members. The sightings comes from Dingd0ng over at
Cybertron.ca.
Speaking of exclusives, Walmart is getting a lot of Hasbro exclusives this year in Canada, including the G1 reissues and they are showing up in stores. The minibots had been found before and are continuing to spread across the country but now we also have confirmation of Starscream appearing in stores, thanks to fellow Seibertronian Shajaki who found him at Emerald Hills Wal-Mart in Sherwood Park (Alberta). He is priced at just shy of $50 CAD, which is far pricier than expected, considering the Platinum conhead three pack was priced with each seeker being around $30 CAD (which is around the same price the G1 seeker mold sold for in the 80s when considering inflation).
Your's truly also found the Wave 3 Prime Masters and the Ultra class Cyberverse figures (Grimlock, Starscream and Bumblebee) at Walmart as well, in Montreal, Qc.

Walmart Canada now has the entirety of the first wave of Transformers Studio Series available in their stores, including the leader class toys Grimlock and Blackout. The voyagers and deluxes are also present and those two classes can also be purchased on
their website. The prices are the new MSRP based on the price jump from the Pemier Edition Transformers: The Last Knight toys, where deluxes are $29.97, voyagers are $39.97 and leaders are $69.97.
These toys are trickling across North America right now, at various retail outlets (Target in the US now has the leaders for instance) and opinions have been mixed but generally more positive than negative. Many wonder if this line will continue and Hasbro already did confirm more toys coming, such as the toys for characters from the upcoming Bumblebee movie that have been pushed to a later release in an attempt to be on shelves closer to the film's release.

Thanks to a pair of sources, both the
El Botcast Reloaded Facebook page and Seibertronian
maverickprime, we have news that several new figures have hit Mexico.
Up first is the news from maverickprime, who found the Wave 1 Power of the Primes deluxes and voyagers, as well as the wave 2 legends figures. These figures were found for a very high price though, as Maverick points out in his post, quoted below:
MaverickPrime wrote:PotP is finally at Mexican retail, they arrived at the Juguetrón chain, curiously, what arrived was Legends Wave TWO, mosrt likely wave 1 got skipped also, sadly, at insane prices, 29 for deluxes, 45 for voyagers and 14,75 for legends.
I pray that's just because that's an expensive chain and supermarket ones like Walmart or Chedraui will have them for less, I can't keep up collecting with those prices.
The 2nd piece of sightings news, thanks to El Botcast, is that the Wave 1 Studio Series Leaders have been sighted in Mexico as well. As both of these figures are highly anticipated, those in Mexico should be excited that these have been found, and hopefully those seeking Blackout and Grimlock can find him.
Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of these new sightings!

At the moment of writing, every figure from the first wave of Transformers Studio Series wave 1 is on Amazon at their suggested retail prices. That includes the sought after leaders Blackout and Grimlock.
With the common distribution woes, many fans have opted to go online so hopefully this helps. They are bound to sell quickly. For those looking for them at brick and mortar, friend to the site Scottimus Prime has found the DCPI numbers for target (which are good for the entire line) and they are: 087-065842 (leader), 087-065840 (voyager), 087-065835 (deluxe). This can be used on
brickseek to see if there are any in stock.
And now, here are the amazon listings:
Transformers Studio Series 08 Leader Class Movie 1 Decepticon Blackout 49.99
Transformers Studio Series 07 Leader Class Movie 4 Grimlock 49.99
Transformers Studio Series 06 Voyager Class Movie 1 Starscream 29.99
Transformers Studio Series 05 Voyager Class Movie 2 Optimus Prime 29.99
Transformers Studio Series 04 Deluxe Class Movie 1 Autobot Ratchet 19.99
Transformers Studio Series 02 Deluxe Class Movie 3 Decepticon Stinger 19.99
Transformers Studio Series 01 Deluxe Class Movie 1 Bumblebee 19.99
Transformers Studio Series 03 Deluxe Class Movie 3 Crowbar 19.99

Good news to those looking for the Transformers Studio Series leaders. Both Blackout and Grimlock have been found at Meijer by fellow Seibertronian EvasionModeBumblebee.
Meijer is a regional US department store (similar to Walmart) and has been a place where several sought after Transformers toys have been found, such as last year's Titans Return Ramhorn. Sightings for these two Studio Series leaders have come from both the states of Michigan and Indiana, with this specific sighting coming from Benton Harbor, Michigan.
These two were both $49.99 USD, which is the MSRP for movie leader class toys now. Since this is quite a bit of money for many fans, we do have a lot of material for you to check out if you are not sure about the purchase.
You can see a video review for Blackout
here and one for Grimlock
here.
We also added an image of these two leaders compared to previous movie leaders for you to get a sense of the scale.
EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:Just checked out a nearby Meijers and they had the entire wave 1 (even the leaders) except Optimus. I only picked up Bumblebee, but the others were there!
The picture's kinda crappy, but you can see Grimlock down at the bottom, Blackout's behind him.
