But the original Overlord towered Godginrai so its a fair turn around. The feet being like that in both the show and the original toy doesn't suddenly negate the feet's looking weird. It just means that the feet have always looked weird since 1988.fenrir72 wrote:Btw, I tot an image of Ginrai with his weird feet. So all these complaints about it has no merit (also, it was designed with Godbomber in mind)
The feet was designed with Godbomber fusion in mind. It was never weird, unless you can call the running change from the prototype image in the Powermaster Hb catalog showing Optimus having actual protruding feet like his Hb boxart.

Odd? Is that an oxymoron?
Heads turning into tiny robots
A 50 ft tall 'bot transforms into a SONY Walkman
A giant robot has a mind of both man and woman that turns into an engine block
Nope....not odd at all
I stop counting oddities in this franchise the moment a small yellow horned 'bot transformed into a not flying saucer that ran on wheels in a fully metallic world back in 1984.
That's why they're "More than Meets the Eye!"

Big being the smallest Convoy/Prime would be ironic as all get out. I could see this being in Takara Transformers Legends comics.

Odd as in he has short stumpy feet that does not visually match the humanoid appearance of the rest of that robot. Nothing you said has anything to do with the visual appearance of Ginrai's feet being stumpy. I'm just saying knowing the reason for it does not change the fact it is.

Yeah, I figured they would have announced Hot Rod already. Unfortunately their chrome has not been good lately, and that may be one of their changes.

Well, leta be honest, whatever TakTom called it, Bat Convoy came ith Optimal Optimus, who was slagging Ginormous in the cartoon, as a targetmaster drone. No reason they coukdbt apply the same spin here.

Ginrai never had his feet like Takara designed it in this release and they look bad.I am disapointed they didnt try to be more show accurate when that is their whole thing (the wheels are also not positioned they way they are in G1). They would have looked much better if takara stuck with the show model or G1 toy.

If the face is based on the God Bomber prototype then maybe the bot mode is based on a Ginrai prototype? Or is there a background character from planet Master that looks like him?
Just curious, but how do the people that complain about hollow limbs feel about God Bomber's arms? I can understand the function, but I wish it was executed just a bit better. Also unfortunate that God Ginrai still has regular Super Ginrai's hands instead of God Bomber's better articulated hands. I guess those hands had to be articulated so they'd flatten out inside. I also wish there was a way to lock the Super Ginrai feet and make just the God Ginrai feet tilt so it doesn't look like he has articulated shins.
Still going to buy both of them.

At least it's new and not another damn Stylor repaint for the 10th time.
I don't think we have really gotten any Titan Masters with this guy's vibe the only one that comes close to it is Nightbeat's TR partner which was also a little generic and this guy here is painted pretty well I mean come on he has painted eyes!

Odd as in he has short stumpy feet that does not visually match the humanoid appearance of the rest of that robot. Nothing you said has anything to do with the visual appearance of Ginrai's feet being stumpy. I'm just saying knowing the reason for it does not change the fact it is.
So what you are saying based on my previous statement of the feet being designed the way it was for the Godbomber part has nothing to do with its flat design having nothing to do with it by your "personal" standard is odd? Or there was a running change from the prototype image I posted which actually had protruding feet but might have been changed because the protrusion when combined with Godbomber might have added extra cost for the extra plastic that would have meshed in the combined form.
Fine. Whatever tweaks your fancy.
Well, personal preference for you then at its being odd.
For me, anything this line throws at me no longer surprises me at it's being odd.

Not true: only the ones associated with Blurr and Chromedome, plus any of their redecos/retools.

Exaggeration of course I don't think I should need to put /s at the end of it.
It's still probably the titan master mold used most besides the Crashbash sculpt which comes at second with three uses.
We have Hyperfire (Blurr), Stylor (Chromedome), Teslor (Brainstorm), Throttle (Getaway) so far that is 4 uses of the same head mold.

Just search for related characters in the show either to God Bomber or Ginrai and maybe we will find out the inspiration of God Bomber's Titan master.
Why are you hounding me about this subject anyways I was making a joke about how hey we might not know what inspired God Boomber's titan master but at least he is a new mold and not another re use from another figure like Stylor or Crashbash.

It didn't come across as a joke to me. Sorry about that I guess my humor just doesn't translate on the net that well I guess mostly because it's missing the tone I would normally use if I was saying that joke to a person in real life.
But hey I might have a lead on the original source of the titan master.
Power master Optimus was originally supposed to be a head master and Roller would become his head the Roller robot mode looks a bit similar to God Bomber's head master here.
A Stretch probably but it's a guess.

A stretch, indeed. The shoulders are the only similarity I see, but even then, just for their being block-shaped.Deadput wrote:A Stretch probably but it's a guess.
For all we know, the source of inspiration may not even be something directly tied to Ginrai or Godbomber, but rather something indirect instead, like how Sixshot's Titan Master, Revolver, is based on one of Chromedome's friends, Jack, who happened to have been one of Sixshot's many murder victims in The Headmasters cartoon.

Yeah; one of the first design phases for Powermaster Optimus Prime. He was gonna be a friggin' Powermaster Headmaster Targetmaster whose Headmaster was a Triple-Changer.

Godmaster, you mean. Powermasters involve a binary-bond between a living Transformer and a human or Nebulan, with the latter acting like a living battery to provide extra power to their larger partner. Godmasters are humans who literally become Transformers via alien magical/technological means that bring about the ultimate super robot lifeforms through the perfect fusion of a human and a lifeless Transformer body.Hellscream9999 wrote:_Anshin_ wrote:fenrir72 wrote:Insurgent wrote:They look odd.
