But the original Overlord towered Godginrai so its a fair turn around.

No it isn't. Now his sizing up from Super Ginrai to God Ginrai makes less sense since he needed to size up to the bigger enemy. Now it's Overlord who needs sizing up for his being so puny.

The feet being like that in both the show and the original toy doesn't suddenly negate the feet's looking weird. It just means that the feet have always looked weird since 1988.

Who knows, maybe they'll work some magic on the Overlord mold. If they're willing to go that far on Ginrai then why not?

God Bomber does appear to be Leader class. Or at least TFSource is pricing him the same as the Combiner Wars equivalant leaders and only $5 less than Blaster.

Via the official Takara Tomy Transformers Twitter account TF_pr, we have a new image of their next Legends product, releasing a figure that Hasbro included in its Titans Return line, under a new coat of paint and name: LG-41 Leo Prime! It uses the Alpha Bravo Trion mold and the Titan Master Infinitus tiny bot to create an homage to Beast Wars II's Lioconvoy, you can check it out below.

The feet being like that in both the show and the original toy doesn't suddenly negate the feet's looking weird. It just means that the feet have always looked weird since 1988.

The feet was designed with Godbomber fusion in mind. It was never weird, unless you can call the running change from the prototype image in the Powermaster Hb catalog showing Optimus having actual protruding feet like his Hb boxart.

I stop counting oddities in this franchise the moment a small yellow horned 'bot transformed into a not flying saucer that ran on wheels in a fully metallic world back in 1984.

That's why they're "More than Meets the Eye!"

Odd as in he has short stumpy feet that does not visually match the humanoid appearance of the rest of that robot. Nothing you said has anything to do with the visual appearance of Ginrai's feet being stumpy. I'm just saying knowing the reason for it does not change the fact it is.

Yeah, I figured they would have announced Hot Rod already. Unfortunately their chrome has not been good lately, and that may be one of their changes.

Well, leta be honest, whatever TakTom called it, Bat Convoy came ith Optimal Optimus, who was slagging Ginormous in the cartoon, as a targetmaster drone. No reason they coukdbt apply the same spin here.

If anyone checks at those images of Ginrai's feet either in the original toy or anime, you will see that they are very different to what Takara did with legends Ginrai. The whole point is that his feet are the nubs and the trailer, all together. They are massive boots. Takara fails here because they cut the trailer off at the top and then give him stilts, which looks nothing like the original toy or anime. I have said that back when we first saw pics of the toy so I dont know why people are still saying it looks the same as the source when it clearly doesnt.

Ginrai never had his feet like Takara designed it in this release and they look bad.I am disapointed they didnt try to be more show accurate when that is their whole thing (the wheels are also not positioned they way they are in G1). They would have looked much better if takara stuck with the show model or G1 toy.

If the face is based on the God Bomber prototype then maybe the bot mode is based on a Ginrai prototype? Or is there a background character from planet Master that looks like him?

Just curious, but how do the people that complain about hollow limbs feel about God Bomber's arms? I can understand the function, but I wish it was executed just a bit better. Also unfortunate that God Ginrai still has regular Super Ginrai's hands instead of God Bomber's better articulated hands. I guess those hands had to be articulated so they'd flatten out inside. I also wish there was a way to lock the Super Ginrai feet and make just the God Ginrai feet tilt so it doesn't look like he has articulated shins.

Still going to buy both of them.

Ok, just noticed that Legends Godbomber has his own Headmaster/Titan Master, but who is he styled after?

The design is so generic, and like something out of a classic mecha anime, yet I can't shake the feeling that it looks like something specifically familiar.
