A few tidbits of Alternator-related information were given out by Hasbro's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. These included:
- Alternator Grimlock WILL be silver.
- There has been NO attempt at getting the Mini Cooper license for an Alternator, but that is not to say it couldn't happen.
- They haven't given up on getting the license to Volkswagon.
- They have several clay mock ups for Alternators that to which they haven't gotten the license yet.
Interesting to hear that no deal has been attempted with Mini as yet - have Takara gone it alone with this one, or are all the pre-order listings for the Mini Binal Tech false?

Earlier today (December 13th 2003) the voice actor, known to us Transformers fans as the Megatron from Beast Wars, Beast Machines & Armada, David Kaye participated in an on-line chat. The chat drew some 60 plus fans and was conducted by the people of
AnimationHQ. Due to some unforeseen circumstances the chat was cut a bit short, but David Kaye promised to return soon and make up for it. The chat did confirm that David Kaye will reprise his role of Megatron in the Energon series, but not until the 6th episode. For the excerpt of the chat session go to
The Energon Pub and discuss further.
AnimationHQ also let it slip that they will be conducting a similar chat with voice actor Gregg Berger, in about two months time. Berger did the voices of several characters of the original series, including Grimlock, Skyfire and Long Haul.
