Thanks to a heads up from IDW artist Kei Zama, we have new pictures of some licensed T-shirts from the Tokyo Comic Con that feature art from Zama herself! The shirts include the previously seen Optimus Prime, Megatron, and the Autobot and Decepticon versions of the Japanese Transformers logo, along with a new shirt that features the purple and black master of disaster with a goatee himself, Shattered Glass Hot Rod! The Optimus Prime shirt is based on his appearance on the very first image of the IDW Optimus Prime comic, which has become a staple of Zama's, Megatron's art is based on his IDW Transformers appearance pre-Dark Cybertron, and Shattered Glass Hot Rod is new art altogether. The shirts come in multiple colors, featuring white, gray, and black, and can be seen below!

Courtesy directly of Takara Tomy on Twitter, we have an image from their Transformers booth over at Tokyo Comic Con 2017, taking place for the rest of the weekend and showing a fair few new figures and merchandise related to Transformers - and the various crossovers currently being explored.
In this post, we focus on the Star Wars Powered By Transformer Crossover Series, and both the full revealed Tie Advanced X1 Darth Vader, and what will be the second figure in the crossover series, the Millennium Falcon. The figure, with its still unknown robot mode (but probably either Chewbacca or Han Solo - or both, as a previous iteration of this figure attempted) is expected some point in 2018, and includes mini-figures of both its Wookie and scoundrel pilots. With this being the 30th anniversary of Street Fighter 2, Takara has teamed up with Capcom to bring us a Transformers Street Fighter II crossover. This crossover is two sets of straight redecos (meaning no mold changes). These figures were shown at the 2017 Tokyo Comic Con, and we have images below, coming from Twitter user 7777_diver.
Below we can see Ken from Takara Tomy Legends Hot Rod paired with Chun-Li from generations Arcee and M.Bison (Vega) from Titans Return Megatron with Ryu from Titans Return Optimus Prime. These are Takara Tomy Mall exclusives set to be released in May 2018 and are priced at 8640 Yen for the pair of deluxe toys and 12960 Yen for the pair of voyager toys.
There is a pre-order campaign goal as well. If 3000 are ordered through Takara Tomy Mall, the figure stands (seen below on the show floor) will be included with the sets.

Also included in the images below, mirrored once again from Twitter user 7777_diver who is present at the event taking place this weekend, are previous releases in the Museum Masterline Transformers Movie (in the sense of live-action films) line from the company, such as Shockwave, Ratchet, and Jazz. As we know, this weekend sees Tokyo Comic Con 2017 taking place in Japan, with Takara Tomy bringing its Transformers presence to the show in a multitude of iterations, toy lines, licensed products, merchandise and more - including the promotion of the soon to be available (in Japan) home release of The Last Knight.
The bigger news so far, in terms of our interests, comes from images shared by Twitter user 7777_diver, featuring the latest Beast Wars Masterpiece figure in the Takara Tomy stables: MP-41 Dinobot! You can see the grey prototype of the figure in both raptor and robot mode, accompanied by its accessories, and previous Beast Wars figures such as Legends Rhinox and Rattle / Rattrap, MP-32 Beast Convoy / Optimus Primal and MP-34 Cheetus / Cheetor. From the official Takara Tomy website, and the information they've released about Tokyo Comic Con 2017 - taking place this weekend, Friday to Sunday 1-3 December - we have some more news about their presence at the event, and the merchandise they'll be bringing along to promote some more Transformers: The Last Knight (or Last Knight King, as it's known in the localised release). The information about the event itself however, is as follows: December 1st, 14:45 to 15:15. Featuring a song contest, The Last Knight (King) promotion along with NBC Universal.
Before you think of exclusive toys, the merchandise is entirely non-toy based, and features the likes of keychains, apparel, clothing, battery packs, and the sorts, all of which can be found in the images mirrored below. Pricing is as follows, and includes Japanese Tax:

We've received new information about the 2018 edition of the UK's biggest fan-run Transformers event: TFNation! We now know the prices for this summer's gathering, which have been frozen to 2017 standards, ranging from single day attendees to full weekend packages with a number of reductions. While it seems we know so much about the upcoming Transformers Power of the Primes toys, there is one part we know very little of: how their backs look like. While Leader Optimus Prime may look like MP10 from the front, no one knows how he looks like from the back? Well, a Transformers hands on event was held in Hong Kong and thanks to several posts on HK-TF 變形金剛香港網盟 and Hobbymizer Hong Kong Discuss, we now know that it looks like and ... it's not like MP10. We also have some great shots of Voyager Grimlock's back which has also not fully been revealed yet, along with more torso shots of Voyager Starscream. We also get to see more shots of Starscream's torso mode. There are also several images showing where the combiner heads are hidden which can make for some very wacky poses. Plus, we see the interchangeable Titan/Prime Master gimmick with the Matrix that comes with the leaders in full force and used in fun ways.
These items are all due to come to retail in December 2017/January 2018, depending on your distribution channel of choice and the price points we have seen so far are not consistent from one retailer to the next.
Still sad about Botcon ending? Are you bummed about Hascon not coming back until 2019? Well, there is some good news on the Transformers-themed convention front. TFCon is the largest fan-run convention in the world, and their USA convention will be held from October 26-28, 2018 in Rosemont, Illinois (a Chicago suburb).
TFCon began in 2002 as a Canadian Transformers fan convention, and expanded to the USA in 2014. Their most recent convention was in Washington, D.C. earlier this fall. While no guests or dealer information for 2018 are available yet, judging solely by their past guest lists, they should have some great appearances. Previous guests have included all manner of big names in the Transformers world- 2016's TFCon USA had voice actors Michael Bell, Gregg Berger, Garry Chalk, Richard Newman, Jon Bailey, Jason Marnocha, and Frank Todaro; from the Transformers comic book worlds of both G1 and IDW, Bob Budiansky, Nick Roche, Alex Milne, Sara Pitre-Durocher, Andrew Griffith, Casey Coller, Brendan Cahill, Corin Howell, Josh Perez, Josh Burcham and Matt Moylan.

Are there any aspiring animators out there? Because if so, we just got word of Hasbro appearing at the CTN (The Creative Talent Network) Animation eXpo, an event held for aspiring animators and skilled professionals to meet and talk about their craft.
Hasbro will have their own booth there (booth B83) along with three panels. Judging from the talented creators attending, like Walter Gatus, the lead character designer for Transformers at Hasbro Studios, there will surely be a Transformers presence. This could be the place where fans get an early look at Transformers: Cyberverse or Rescue Bots Academy (or any other animation they may have, check the roadmap below), though no specifics aside from the panels mentioned below are confirmed.
The show takes place November 17-19, 2017, in Burbank, CA and you can get all the details on acquiring tickets and participating, along with a complete schedule, here.
