No, they are TF wombs, so imagine the damage being done to millions of unborn Cybertronians every time a Power of the Prime combiner combines

All are wavemates of the previously seen Moonracer, as reported here.

Dreadwing and Darkwing aren't Duocons, a Duocon is a robot which transforms into two seperate vehicles. Dreadwing and Darkwing are combiners

It sure is messing up those stock photos of those figures and looks terrible too. Snarl looks alright (I mean without that crap on his front and as far as a cheap looking Deluxe combiner wars limb version of him can look)

Hasbro's instructions for them label them (or at least their combined form Dreadwing) as Duocons.leokearon wrote:Dreadwing and Darkwing aren't Duocons, a Duocon is a robot which transforms into two seperate vehicles. Dreadwing and Darkwing are combiners
It's backwards terminology, yes, but that's what the instructions say.

The Prime Armor nonsense doesn't bother me. It doesn't add anything but doesn't take away either since you don't need to keep them on. I'm always a fan of more accessories rather than less (finger candy)

I don't mind Rippersnapper's hands it looks like he has Wolverine claws

He seems actually worse than his crummy G1 toy in that way since that had seperate beast/robot mode arms. This looks like all you do is tuck robot legs in to make butt, unfold beast legs, flip beast-head hood over and pretty much done. Not really much of a transformation.

Which is pretty much the same as his G1 toy, except you don't push in or out his tiny robot and still visible robot arms.

I feel like the claws in robot mode give him more character. He's a badass bipedal shark creature in alt mode and now in robot mode he can still live up to his name of ripping other bots apart.

Maybe if they were on hinges so I could decide if I wanted them out or not...

You and me both. I'd like the 2 vehicles into 1 robot thing for them finally. and they proved with Overlord and Sky Shadow that they can do it really well.
As for now, my duocon pair is represented by these 2. Whom I will still keep to go with their 2 legends class combiners fellows should they both happen

I'd totally buy a Flywheels repaint of Blitzwing if they released one.

Overlord would also be a duocon

All pregnancy jokes aside though, the "armour" mode looks ridiculous on everyone. A backpack would have made more sense, or even a shield. Or, you know, an improved version of the HFG formula. This just seems a bit daft.
Anyway, the Dinobots look decent in construction but between the cheap looking paint apps and the worrying abundance of clear plastic structural parts I'll probably pass.
Darkwing or whatever you want to call him (Why didn't they just call him Darkwind and the other dude Dreadwing again?) looks decent. Not amazing, and the headsculpt looks a bit iffy, but decent.
Rippersnapper though? Right on the mark! I love him. Hopefully the rest of DaBombinus comes out looking that good. And gets released properly over here.

I have Swoop, Slug and Slash so far, and honestly, I don't think the clear plastic is going to cause much of an issue on Swoop or Slug. Slash is the one that worries me a little since it is her cockpit door, and well, Wolfwire.

Wolfwire didn't actually have clear plastic on his cockpit door. The plastic that cracked was the yellow plastic. The red transparent part was much more rubbery.

I know, but it broke at a weak point, the hinge, and the type of part (cockpit door) puts a bit of stress on that weak point when you move it. So you take the type of part that was problematic in the past (cockpit door on Wolfwire) and add in the fun of clear plastic on Slash. Now do you understand my concern?
Edit: Also Slash doesn't have red rubbery part to save the day if it cracks either.

Hello Perfect Effect !
This is one of the things that really bothers me about this new gimmick. Since they turned the hands into armor they matched the colors to the individual bots so you can't have feet and hands that match apart from the dinobots.

Amalgamous Nexus Overlord: "Can separate and recombine body parts into an endless array of configurations, becoming a one bot army."
Megatronus Vector Overlord: "His Chōkon Bolt Masher destroy opponents and recreate them, trapping them in an endless loop of destruction."
Micronus Quintus Overlord: "Create copies of himself, all equally sharing his power and will."
'Unno, just something for fun I guess.

Also I'm sure if the Terrorcons are released as a set in Japan, color matching will not be a problem.

Yeah, armour mode is poor across the bots -- I've only enjoyed the Prime Power holding piece to work as a Powerglove or backpack.
I'll definitely pick-up Darkwing....maybe Snarl. Moonracer is a must-have for me.

It really isn't comparable. The reason why Wolfwire's door broke was because the yellow plastic portion of the hinge is very thin and couldn't hold up to the friction of opening and closing the door. I think Hasbro designed it with the expectation that the red portion would take the brunt of the friction and the yellow part would act as a guide, but ended up building a unique design flaw into it instead. If the entire hinge was the yellow plastic it probably wouldn't have broke.
We've seen many figures in Titans Return with clear plastic hinges and they didn't break, there's no reason to believe Slash would be any different.

We've had tons of clear plastic hinges over the years, mainly as cockpit covers and car roofs, and them breaking is a very sporadic occurance. No, TR Wolfwire's problems were all in the clear red rubbery part trying to push the yellow piece up, due to the nature of the material. Remember how DotM Crankcase's dreads hardly moved on their hinges? Same principle.
