The
BotCon 2012 website is now online, though at this point it's really more of a teaser website than anything else. The only thing available is the
promo image from FunPub's Diamond Edition
Transformers Timelines Issue 6: The StuntiCon Job comic. Hopefully the BotCon 2012 date and location announcement is close at hand.

We may not know the date and location of BotCon 2012, but thanks to the back cover of FunPub's Diamond Edition
Transformers Timelines Issue 6: The StuntiCon Job comic we now know one of the molds to be featured in the BotCon 2012 exclusive set. As you can see below,
Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime is prominently featured in the advertisement for BotCon 2012. Your first thought might be a Scourge repaint, but note the blue eyes. Let us know who you think this character could be in the
Energon Pub!
An enemy thought defeated
A power thought to be legend
At Botcon 2012, Earth's survival rests
in the hands of just one robot...
To refresh your memory here is a
list of hints BotCon threw out in early September via their twitter acount:
- They feel this set may be the best they've ever produced, definitely in the top three
- If you're 80's fan, one figure in the set will be "MUST HAVE Transformer of the year"
- Three of the characters are getting their first updates ever
- Two of the figures draw upon the "distant past"
- The set is not TFA
- The "MUST HAVE" figure is one of the characters getting their first update ever
