Boom and just like that, your toy aisles now have a whole new assortment of Transformers toys. We have reports from many collectors that they have now found all gimmick toys already revealed by Hasbro for the Rise of the Beasts line. There is more to come of course, like further waves and further classes, but those have not been revealed by Hasbro yet. The Beast Weaponizers 2-Pack and the Battle Channgers (which includes Rhinox, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee) have been found at Meijer stores. The individual targetmasters, like Cheetor and Rhinox, are appearing at Targets. The image below is from Shane Shane.
We still have yet to see the mainline voyagers, individual deluxes or one steps, but none of those have been revealed by Hasbro yet.
We will post reviews when they come in. For now, we have one for the Beast Weaponizer 2-packs.

Both Primal and Prime are basic figures but feature more articulation than the Beast Combiner figures, which makes them a bit more fun. The Weaponizers remind me of the Arms Micron era of Transformers and complement the larger robots well. Between the two I feel Optimus Prime is better due to having more articulation and a more pronounced alternate mode.
We have an interesting bit of news to bring to you all. Thanks to Seibertronian fonziechavez for this. He recently received his order of Crosscut from Hasbro Pulse, who's a recolor of the Burnout version of the Legacy Skids mold. But as you can clearly see from the pictures below, his Crosscut figure was packed in the wrong box, instead of Crosscut's own. The box and box art belong to Medix, an Autobot brought into Legacy as a G1 version of the character from the Transformers Rescue Bots line. Medix is rumored to be this year's store exclusive for Walgreens, continuing their tradition of having an exclusive with a medical or science theme (Brainstorm, Ratchet, Minerva....(and for some reason, Bluestreak). Check out the pictures below!
As can be clearly seen from these images, Medix is a re-use of the Crankcase version of the Skids/Burnout/Crosscut/Crankcase mold, with the masked head originally used on Burnout from the Velocitron Speedia 500 line. He'll apparently come with translucent red versions of the weapons that originally came with Legacy Elita-1 and Minerva, as well as the grille-gun and pistol from Crankcase.
So what do you all think of this packaging error that gives us a first look at Medix's box? Has anyone else gotten any Legacy figures with similar mistakes? Let us know in the forums and the comments below!
We thank fellow Seibertronian Sol Magnus for letting us know of a nice find in the US. He found Crosscut at a Gamestop in Maryland. While big box stores have a history of being where fans find their toys, the focus has really shifted to more collector based outlets, which are more likely to have current toys. We are seeing that with Gamestop in Canada where the Evoltuion wave 2 core class are also being found right now at Gamestops.
Well this is a surprise! We've gotten word of an until-now unknown 2-pack that was sighted at a Canadian GameStop store, consisting of two characters from the G1 episode War Dawn, those of Ariel and Dion, Orion Pax's girlfriend and best friend, respectively. These two figures look to be remolds and recolors of Legacy Prime Arcee and Studio Series 86 Kup. Ariel's name is spelled "Erial" here, likely as to not conflict with a certain trademarked mermaid.
These were found at GameStop in Canada, and posted by @id_armed on Twitter. As the set was street-dated for early April, it wasn't able to be purchased, but we do have images of both the front and back of the box.
So what do you all make of this? When it's released, do you plan on picking it up? Let us know your thoughts below.
Americans across the country are reporting sightings of the Rise of the Beasts deluxe figures from the Studio Series line. Bumblebee and Airazor are being spotted at Walmarts from Florida to New York. We have video reviews of those toys for you below in case you are curious about them and want to know more before buying them.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:This is the best Studio Series Bumblebee figure I've ever handled, period.
Remember Kingdom Airazor? Did you wish it was bigger and looked more like a steampunk bird? Let me introduce to you ROTB Airazor! Bigger with a few new parts and detailing, ROTB Airazor looks really good and makes me curious to see how it'll be used in the new film. Not much to say since it's basically the same figure but if you're a diehard Airazor fan, this figure is for you!
Here's some news many were waiting for, Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins Jazz has been found in the US. harrisongibb found these at Leesburg Target in Virginia and stated that they had a whole row of Buzzworthy Origins Jazz. It was $24.99 and we have an image of the DCPI below.
Retail distribution for Transformers toys (and action figures in general) can be a little screwy at times. That's why online collectible retailers exist and many fans have since gravitated towards them. What is sad to see is situation like the one below where we see merchandise destined for either Walmart or Toys R Us in Canada that was never put on shelves and was instead dumped to a liquidator after rotting in a warehouse. This is of course dependent on retailer and geographic location but the final wave of Kingdom was never found on Walmart shelves in Canada. And believe it or not, Studio Series Junkheap was scarce as well and no voyager wave beyond wave 1 for the Legacy line was ever stocked in Walmarts either. Well low and behold, liquidator store locations in Canada (specifically Quebec in the example below) are now getting an influx of all those toys skipped by Walmart.
It used to be just one wave was skipped and we'd see some toys at liquidators but this is taking it to a whole other level. This is further aggravating because it shows that retailers did have new stock, which fans surely could have purchased, but never replenished shelves with it, either moving on to the next line or just leaving the shelves with the same stock all year round. The specific location below is Boom Liquidation but there are province specific liquidators all across Canada (like Treasure Hunt in Ontario) so if there is any Canadian who has missed out on the toys shown below, it could be time to visit your local liquidator chain/store as this influx shows Walmart has dumped all their old stock to make room for a lot of incoming toys like the movie line, Earthspark, ect.
We knew the Legacy Evolution Wave 2 voyagers had landed in the US so it was just a matter of time before they showed up in stores. Luckily, it didn't take long at all. While these toys were first found at a collectibles store in Canada, the first sighting of Metalhawk and Twincast at big box retail is in the US, at Walmart. We have several sightings from various US states like Utah and California, all reported here by various members of the Transformers fan community.
If you are thinking of picking them up, but want as much info on the toys as possible, we have reviews for you below from community members.
We have news that the second series of Transformers Micromachine blind box sets has been found in the US. These were found at an unspecified Target. As before, only half of these blind boxes contain a Transformers vehicle. An image was found on Facebook showing the placement of the cars within the blind box case and it gives you an idea of the characters found along with the codes and character list. Oddly, the Optimus vehicle in this set is not the one shown in the stock image on the side of the box (Western Star vs a Peterbilt truck).
While this wave was released a while back by online retailers (and found sparsely at Toysrus in Canada), many many fans were still looking for this wave in stores to no avail. Well, reports have been coming in the the past week of this 2022 fall wave finally appearing in Walmart stores, both in the US (in several states) and Canada simultaneously. This makes it the first time this wave has been found at a big box store in the US. It comes to show how all over the place brick and mortar distribution is now with this 2022 fall wave being found at the same time at the 2023 summer wave of legacy toys (that being the Legacy Evolution wave 2 core class figures).
This leaves TMII Dragon Megatron as the only 2022 toy not released in American big box stores, so far.
