While there was a taste of what's to come in the IDW Transformers comics in regards to Windblade yesterday, today at San Diego Comic Con the IDW and Hasbro Panel took place, revealing new information about what's to come this year and next for Transformers, GI Joe, Jem, My Little Pony, and more. Our very own site owner Seibertron is in attendance and has been relaying information to us as it comes in, which we've gathered below along with a full gallery of images from the panel itself.

The first issue of the new Robots in Disguise ongoing written by Georgia Ball with art by Priscilla Tramontano hits next week, and will focus on stories related to, but ultimately outside of the events of the TV show itself. Arcee, Bulkhead, and Ultra Magnus from Transformers: Prime will make appearances in the comic, helping to bridge the continuity gap between the two series.

In The Transformers ongoing book, not much was hinted at, other than to keep an eye out for very big things from the forthcoming issue number 50.

Of course, there was plenty of mention of the very popular James Roberts penned More Than Meets The Eye, and while Twincast Podcast listeners have known for some time, it was confirmed that Grimlock will soon make an appearance. Also teased: the rise of the Decepticon Justice Division, and their war against Megatron.

On the Windblade front, most of that news was reported yesterday, but there was additional teasing about what might happen when Beast Transformers live right next to some from Velocitron.

There was news outside of the Transformers universe as well. In 2016, new comic series will launch for both the Micronauts and Rom The Space Knight, who you may remember as almost being a Transformer at one point!

IDW's GI Joe series will also have a big event starting in October, being called Cobra World Order. Written by Larry Hama with art by S.I. Gallant, this event kicks off in G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero issues #219 and #220.

Two BIG announcements were also made for Transformers fans, the first being called Transformers Redemption, written by John Barber with art from Livio Ramondelli, which is a sequel to last year's Combiner Wars prequel, Transformers Punishment. This will similarly be a one-shot, 40 page book, featuring the Dinobots moving out to the Rust Sea in a desperate bid to repopulate Cybertron. It will feature some new characters as well, including a glimpse or two of Victorion.

Finally, the news many Transformers comics fans have been waiting for ages to hear was finally heard: a new series written and drawn by Nick Roche, featuring colors from Josh Burcham, and starring the one and only Wreckers! Sins of the Wreckers will be a five-issue miniseries, with the first issue arriving on November 6th, 2015, and is said to have major repercussions on all the major stories as we approach next March's 50 issue milestones. The cover for the first issue (both in color and black and white) is below, as posted by Nick Roche himself on his Twitter account:

Surprised there was no mention of Transformers vs. GI Joe. I still haven't seen issue 8 of it yet and I think its been a month. There wasn't a special SDCC cover for it was there?

Is that Armada Sparkplug right by Roadbuster?

Damn son but who is that guy in the snow all by himself?

So where is Guzzle?

Don't tell me he is...

Edit: Also I hope Arcee is not going to become a Wrecker or something like that not because I dislike the idea but because the fandom's reaction.

I for one and perfectly okay with this. IDW Arcee would fit right in with the Wreckers.

I think that's Verity, actually. She was the one that had the copy of the manifest that Ultra Magnus gave her, plus she was back on Earth at the end of LSotW!

Looks dead on like Micromaster Stakeout.

Also I'm on my phone and quoting = high effort, but to whpmever mentioned TF v GI Joe, yes it is continuing but I had to get to dinner and it wasn't worth typing out/finding an image/etc. Sorry. I like the book too, if that helps?

I was talking about the robot.

Nobody would even have to try or even think to guess to know that human is Verity I mean who else can it be that has a relation to the Wreckers?

Nice, also in the redemption story, is bludgeon going to make an appearance? That sure looks like his head and tentacles (the robot cthuthlu!)

Looking forward to sins of the wreckers as well.

Also I'm call it that ROM, and maybe micronaughts, will crossover with TF at one point.

It does indeed look as if Bludgeon will be returning for Redemption. I'm interested to know who the copter and car are featured with the dinos on the second cover? Too little information to guess well, but one could be Sandstorm based on Punishment.

Very happy that the Wreckers are returning in some form. Hopefully this will bring Spinger back into he mix, as he has had a long break since his Regen and LSOTW ends. I know there is a prose story involving Roadbuster,Springer and choices. Maybe this will show that and continue?

It does look like Stakeout, and it feels like, I'd have to go back and look, that in the final pages of LSOTW there was a cop car hanging outside the cafe where Verity was providing resolution on Earth.

And about time we found some stuff out about Shockwaves Dark Cybertron survivors. :BOT:

How's that going to work exactly? The DJD are far more concerned with megatron then to deal with them plus the wreckers are no where near the lost light. At this point the it's Tarn v Megs and that's bit really, everyone else is just setup

no idea. but it was hinted at in LSotW, when Springer mentioned that he had a mole planted within the Division itself. we also know that Grimlock is on their 'list', albeit for unknown reasons. and with what the Wreckers have been doing to the Decepticons, it's a wonder how they're not on the list already. plus, no Sin can ever go without Justice, so there's that.

like i said, it's shaping up to be a face off - and one can only hope that SotW brings that event a lil closer. :WRECKERS:

Umm...what? Where have they stated at all Sins will build up the return of the Wreckers and preparing to go against the DJD?

Pretty sure this will be dealing with what happened at the end of 'Last Stand' and Verity having a copy of Aquitus as well as dealing with the true consequences at the end of that series.

Wreckers Vs DJD sounds like fanwank speculation.

I'm looking for forward to Redemption. Nice to see Bludgeon survived Dark Cybertron .

I see the Wreckers being at their lowest possible point, almost. A lot would have to happen to make them back into the elite force that they were. The DJD are at the opposite end, taking down phase sixers left and right. The DJD had a scare, but are back at full force, and joined with Deathsaurus group. The Wreckers are in no shape for that type of operation, and while the lost light crew wants some revenge for Trailcutter, the rest of the Autobots don't have much reason to tangle with them, other than to try to subjugate the most devout and violent of the Decepticons.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the Wreckers moving forward, seeing where they are to go next, whether they get members back on or not, springer comes back from near death, and what Verity is going to do. It will be awesome, and satisfying, I hope.

None of us know what's in store. That's the fun!

yeah, pretty much it's all speciation at this point, but there are definitely questions when it comes to the Wreckers' relationship with the DJD. especially since Springer specifically name drops them in LSotW. i mean, the DJD are only ever 5 mates, so who could be the mole? what does he gain by feeding info the the enemy? also while it may seem like an impossibility for the Wreckers to go against the DJD, that's what the Wreckers are all about in the first place, impossible odds and suicide missions. whether i've grossly misinterpreted the signs or not, should be interesting to see where it goes. i'm anxious to see Springer and a semi-redeemed Impactor back in action together. and definitely curious about those new bots in the artwork.

Mentioned at the panel from what I have heard.
