SS86 Core Steeljaw - Confirms the speaker does attach to Blaster.
SS Gamer Edition Deluxe Decepticon Trooper - Very heavily retooled from Barricade. Evan claims the green is game accurate despite how dark he looked in the game.
SS Bumblebee Movie Voyager Skywarp - Exactly what you would expect for a a repaint of Starscream, does feature a new head similar to Blitzwing's.
SS86 Leader Springer - New chest, head, shoulders and opening hands plus new accessories including the catapult missile from the beginning of the movie, his sword from his fight with Wreck-Gar and a Wrecker's hammer just because they had more room in the molds. Hidden blaster in his wrist.
SS86 Deluxe Bumblebee - A Level confirmed, showing up in July along with Transformers One Optimus Prime. Not a parts former. Gray windows because the hinges are unpaintable PA plastic, don't expect a blue window repaint later. Autobot symbol on the hood accurately "disappears" in bot mode thanks to the transformation.
Also Leader class Straxus for Comic Edition shown, heavily retooled from Kingdom Galvatron. Canon barrel can be pegged to his back or held. Teasing new character as fourth figure (we can see perhaps a pointed shoulder and yellow hand on the spine of the box).
Bayblades crossover shown, just tops with Transformers stickers on them. Two 2 packs: Optimus Prime and Megatron, Starscream and Optimus Primal.
Talked about upcoming album, pre-order on Pulse today, digital version September 17. Followed by a quick greeting from Stan Bush.
Another promotion for Robosen Megatron. Now comes with a collector coin, also announced that 40 random figures around the world will be signed by Frank Welker for orders placed before May 26.

Steeljaw, Straxus as Bard of Darkmount, Sideburn, Cybertron Hot Shot as Goldbug, Slipstream, etc.
It was so nice, while it lasted.

I wonder who that yellow hand belongs to. A comic edition Jhiaxus?
If we get a comic version of that Bee I'll pick it up.
I'm assuming the other amplifier for Blaster is coming with Ramhorn.
Also, am I the only one who thought of Klaw from Marvel when seeing that?

Looks like they haven't fixed springers accuracy. Can't make out if they are really trying to pull off selling it at leader class or not on my phone.

He'll most likely be one of those figures that sort of shows up in stores. He seemingly hasn't been canceled or anything, he's available for pre-order in Japan for an August release.

Studio Series Gamer Edition Deluxe "Decepticon Trooper": It's a retool of a Barricade figure which almost nobody liked. And I can't see myself liking it as a generic army builder. Pass!
Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Voyager Skywarp: This one's a recolor of the Starscream mold for that movie. I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now that it's recolored. Pass!
SS86 "Leader" Springer: It's a retool of Siege Voyager Springer, with a few accessories tossed in to fool the gullible into thinking you're getting your money's worth with a Leader class price point. They're not fooling ME! I may pick it up, but only if it goes on deep discount down to Voyager price. That's all this one deserves. Hasbro: You can't fool ME with such trickery! Phooey on youie!
SS86 Deluxe Bumblebee: A new mold for this one, or at least a mold that's been so heavily modified that I can't recognize which it came from. I may pick it up.
Core Steeljaw: A cassette minion for Blaster that ISN'T Eject! Finally. But I'm slopping over with Micromaster Cassettes, so I'll likely pass.
Leader Straxus: It may be heavily modified, but it's still a remold of Kingdom Leader Galvatron. The tripod cannon mode looks interesting, and the robot mode looks interesting from the waist up. From the waist down, you can tell who it really is . Most likely a pass.

Well we could say Galvatron was a pre-tool for Straxus even if he came out 2 years earlier. In media, Straxus did appear 1st, he just never became so high profile. So who is it really?DeathReviews wrote:Leader Straxus jibba-jabba...you can tell who it really is.

You didn't miss anything. Bumblebee is part of the "A Level" assortment that will be available in stores for 9-12 months. Hasbro's gonna flood the shelves with him.adamage1 wrote:....aaaand Bumblebee is already sold out everywhere, and I saw this news late. DAMN IT.

Pretty sure it's Rodimus.
Personally, I'm dissapointed to see so many retools and redecos, Hasbro is really keeping tabs on their budget like never before. The only new molds revealed were Bumblebee and Steeljaw, and the only new mold coming in the 4th wave is Optimus Prime.

What do you want to talk about?
I knew when I saw Steeljaw that Speaker was meant for Blaster, which makes that SS86 version all the more desirable. I'm impressed that the wings and side guns can be stored in alt mode, which looks less like a tape and more like a USB drive.
They did all they could to the Siege Springer mold to make it more G1 movie/toon accurate short of a new mold. I appreciate the new accessories which seems to include a toy/show-accurate rifle. I like the new sword that becomes the rotor blades in helicopter mode but the thrilling 30 version still has the best sword. I do think if they just did the remolding and left the accessories as is, this could've been sold as a voyager.
While I like SS86 Bumblebee it doesn't look as good as the Walmart release and nowhere near as good as the MP ver01 figure. I can see how they're trying to work in the inevitable Cliffjumper retool and a possible GS Bumper figure.

And do you really think we're getting a comic edition Rodimus? Out of the Kingdom figure? Or a new mold, since the box will most likely be for a leader figure?

The latest rumor is that the final fourth Marvel set will be a 2-pack of Xaaron and Flame, who will probably be no larger than Deluxes if they wanna keep the packaging size consistent.Rodimus Prime wrote:And do you really think we're getting a comic edition Rodimus? Though, it remains to be seen if Hasbro would be willing to use a Cyberverse Deluxe mold for a Legacy figure even if those Deluxes were largely on par with Legacy-styled engineering.
Then again, no one expected them to use a Studio Series Bumblebee movie mold for Legacy Javelin, so who knows? Guess we'll just have to be surprised.

If I don't have Siege Springer, I'd PO this SS86 version. If I can find a redeco scheme to repaint the Siege version, I'll probably get the SS86 if it goes on clearance. But I don't know TF lore deep enough to know what redeco character is there for it.

Only other deco that makes any realistic sense is toy colors and we got that in the Wreck N' Rule collection at Amazon.
Incidentally, Entertainment Earth has the case packouts. Not really sure why they're just repeating the same figures from the previous wave instead of trying to cycle in some older popular figures that may have not been easy to find in abundance in stores.
Core wave 10
Actual breakdown not given but an 8 figure case includes
SS86 Steeljaw
SS86 Ratchet
Bumblebee Movie Rumble
Deluxe wave 25
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX TF7 BARCELONA (ROTB Wheeljack)
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX MV6 SUNSTREAKE
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC SIDESWIPE
3x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC DECEPTICON
Voyager wave 25
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY MV6 SHOCKWAVE
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY MV6 SKYWARP
Leader wave 15
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR MV6 MEGATRON
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR AST TF86 SWOOP
They really should reissue Noah, Rumble was just released this year. But who knows, maybe he's in the wave with Starscream.
The early leak for the Deluxe wave showed a new The Last Knight Drift and ReActivate Lifeline, but I guess those guys are in limbo so they just gave us Sideswipe and Sunstreaker two waves in a row and Wheeljack from the wave before that (which in his case may have been the plan all along, leaks didn't include repacks).

The SS86 release I'm really exited about is Bumblebee. Not only does the bot look PERFECT, especially compared to the previous Netflix, the vehicle is very G1 toy accurate. Overall, it's even way better than the second MP.

Springer is not a leader, sorry, that level of retooling should've kept him at a voyager, and those accessories are not enough for a leader.

Agreed. Just comparatively, all those accessories alone wouldn't match the material used for Siege Astrotrain's tender, and that's also not factoring in that Astrotrain came with 5 weapons.

This could also be compared to the SS86 Throne Starscream, but at least his accessories were quite large.

The throne and cape both occupied a fair amount of space, so those accessories were somewhat worth the price, even if they clearly were not highly desired

SS86 Starscream
SS86 Springer
Legacy leader Soundwave
All of these are voyagers with an accessory pack sold as "leaders."
Love it or gate it, the trend seems to stay.
So, which voyager will be "leaderified" next?

This is probably closer to how they justified making Hot Rod a Voyager, but upping the parts count and adding a bunch of individual accessories. Even though they seemed to just be updating parts 1:1, they actually added more function to the new ones. The hands are now two parts and the, the wheels are now pinned to his arms instead of popped onto his shoulders, and his backpack is now at least 3 chunky parts instead of one. That's just the obvious stuff.
I think this is a much better update than just putting new hands on Starscream and a throne (the same throne that didn't really affect the price when included with the Nemesis Brdige three pack).

You forgot the cape and crown, accessories that are basically a downscale from MP-11, plus the extra null rays that came with it. They could have charged the leader price just for those, but they overkilled it with the throne.
Posted by Sowndwave76 on May 16th, 2024 @ 5:50pm CDT
That whole scene in the movie was actually really cool and very memorable, but none of that was captured in that figure release.
On top of that, imo it was a horrible use of a leader class slot, and annoyed me even more since I'm such a fan of this subline.
I am very happy with this new Springer, even just for the figure itself.
The accessories are fine, but didn't really do anything to sway me or up my excitement. Now, I can agree that this doesn't seem worthy of $55+. But I do like this character a lot, and this version is improved enough, especially making him taller; he's supposed to be as big as Optimus.
The price is also probably easier for me to digest since so far I'm skipping everything from Legacy except Gears. Yeah, I'm assuming I'll get Legacy Soundwave, partially because of the cassettes. But still...
My main purchases will be Swoop, Springer, CC OP, Blaster, and Bee. Steeljaw will be a little icing.

You should have said something, people have been asking about that for a while now since it hasn't been officially announced by Hasbro yet (just Takara Tomy). Even the other news sights seem to have just noticed.

My Initial thought would have been Reactivate, but with the recent news that they don’t plan on doing anything from Reactivate this year and the fact that the listing hasn’t disappeared like Reactivate Lifeline, makes me think that it isn’t Reactivate.
Now, they’ll often use descriptors like “Next Gen” to differentiate between two Bumblebee designs from the same movie, like Clunker Bumblebee for the 2007 movie or Offroad Bumblebee for the Jeep design from BB. I think “Next Gen” is a good descriptor for AOE Concept Camaro Bumblebee, used to differentiate it from the High Octane design for Bumblebee from the same movie. It’d be cool if we got something for AOE’s 10th!
I’m certainly not getting my hopes up considering how the line has been the last few years, but I’d love if this next gen Bee was the AOE concept Camaro design!
