Skipjack is a redeco of the previously released Voyager Class Rampage, and as a constructicon can form Devastator's leg. This would allow you to be closer to forming Devastator as seen in Revenge of the Fallen, as Skipjack is part of the constructicons who make up the gestalt.
Check out the review below!

If you plan to make the ROTF Devastator combiner, you better not miss out. Because one should never trust distribution and if you miss out on just a single part, then it's Ebay scalper time. Dunno about Scorpy, but if Skylinx is the same as Jetfire, he could be everywhere in abundance for a long time... unless stores order less Skylinx because they still have a pile of Jetfires to clear out.
I know it's the irresponsible thing to do, but I'd go full YOLO with my credit card.

When Skipjack arrives I will have completed Devastator for $200 plus tax, which is considerably less than his retail price, I believe. What I'm still on the fence about is whether to keep him or to turn around and sell the completed set, unopened. I was a little on the fence about dropping $200 for him, but if he ends up going for $400 on ebay I'll really have to reevaluate his value to me.

If you wait to sell it, you're guaranteed to at least get back the money you have spent. High chance you'll make double.
HOWEVER, if you suddenly want ROTF Devastator after you have sold your set, you will regret it forever.
So, wait a year before selling. Don't make any hasty decisions.

This is kind of what I was planning, though if the desire to open them becomes unbearable before the year is up, I may have my answer right there.
I've passed Scavenger in the store multiple times now because I've had him preordered for a couple of months, but it's been difficult. I thought I would see him as the weakest offering in the lot, but the Unicycle of Death is surprisingly impressive in hand - by size if nothing else.

I think it will be a half a grand set. And a Pulse exclusive.
And I demand balls accessories!

Same here man!: For as much as purest G1 and anti-Bay the fans can be, the wrecking ball balls have really devolved a cult following I totally plan on making a set of them for my set once Overload shows up

Anyway, here's the DOTM big 3 together! I'm so glad I finally have these guys in scale with each other.

I thought the price was already set. IIRC it was $270 US. And yes, the set should be truly screen accurate and come with *ahem* a set of its own...-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Plus, there's the supposed giftset of Devastator coming, which we don't know if it will just be the eight components packaged together unchanged or if they will have new decoes and/or new accessories.

And miniature Twins and human figures, but if that can't happen, at least make Devastator accurate, as vulgar as some may think that to be. Honestly if they’d make the boxset be the only way to get Skids and Mudflap, I’d be kinda annoyed. At that point I’d just get the old Revenge of the Fallen Legends and call it a day, I’d think those would be fairly in scale with today‘s Studio Series scaling.

Well, if the set bring at the very least the same things that we would get by hunting the figures individually, I think I'll finally dive in for a ROTF Devastator at that price. Even when factoring exchange rate and taxes. As for the shipping cost, for something this size it would be normal.
Speaking of ROTF Devy, remember this guy?
Oof.
Hard to believe that this old outdated version still sell for 200$+.

And yet, while nobody's done any comparison pics yet, I think the new one is still about the same size as that old one.-Kanrabat- wrote:Speaking of ROTF Devy, remember this guy?

I'm looking forward the comparison shots. It will be totally unfair because it would be like comparing MP-44 to a similarly sized Optimus in the "cheapo shampoo bottle" category!

Prime vs prime and many other people have shown pictures comparing the two figures together. Somewhere in this thread there are some more.

I think it looks super good (maybe the best looking SS Wrecker so far), and he comes with Steeljaw! Can't wait to pick it up.

The absolute mad lads have done it!
Look at this good engine-doggo
(One or both of these images would probably be good to include in the article for those who don't know why Steeljaw is included, the doggo was meant to be in DOTM at some point and transformed into Leadfoot's car-mode engine I believe)

I don't think I ever realized some of the concept art for Steeljaw gave him sunglasses like the other Wreckers.
I love it!

As you probably noticed in one picture, he also comes with Steeljaw (not to be confused with the AOE Steeljaws).) Steeljaw was a concept 'bot for the movie, who would have transformed from Leadfoot's engine into a robotic dog, with the preliminary name of Warpath (Leadfoot had the preliminary name of Flash). Both can be seen in concept art below by Josh Nizzi.
Steeljaw did make it to plastic form and was included with the Human Alliance Leadfoot figure, though.
And one of the best parts of this reveal is that Leadfoot will be available for preorder beginning tomorrow, July 21st, at 9am EST, on Target's website, according to the Facebook post, which can be seen by clicking on any of the SS images above.
Are you excited for this reveal, now that you'll finally have all your SS Wreckers in armored up form, and the same size class? Let us know what you think below!

So the specifics of his exclusively wasn't mentioned, and could still be a Red Card exclusive?

Plus if he's a Red Card exclusive I either need to be able to ignore it or want it enough to be mad again.
Deadput wrote:As a Canadian I'm still salty about Redwing.
I'm not even a Canadian, just a boring American, and I'M still salty about Redwing, Target's had multiple notable cybersecurity breaches in the past that I researched for a project a few years ago and it makes the thought of taking out a credit or debit card directly through them a laughable thought for me. The fact that the best-looking* Tetrajet is/was locked behind that potential/likely mess is maddening.
*I may be biased because I grew up on the Unicron Trilogy, and Redwing is Armada Screamer colors on a G1 Seeker and I love it.
