DeNA, the company behind Transformers: Legends, is set to release another Transformers themed mobile device game called Transformers Rising. Closed beta testing in the Chinese market is expected soon. Hopefully an English version will follow. Check out the screen cap mirrored below courtesy of 2P:

Except inheriting the gameplay of Transformers Legends, the new mobile game will be infused into the elements of EDU and SIM games. Besides, you can experience not only the traditional PVE and PVP modes, but also two new feature modes – 'Scramble for Skill' and 'World Boss' in the game.

DeNA are the developers, Mobage is basically the distributor group who look after marketing, game release, collecting the money etc. I've seen similar scenarios in other mobile games.
Following the reported news that a new mobile game was being developed by DeNA, who currently run Transformers: Legends, the company have updated their blog with a clarification. The game is being developed by their Chinese counterpart, and is not affiliated with Transformers: Legends in any way, nor is it going to be released in the US. Read on or here for more.
TRANSFORMERS Rising Clarification "Hey guys,
As you may have heard, there’s a new DeNA game being developed titled Transformers Rising. We wanted to take a quick moment to address some of the misconceptions surrounding it.
For clarification, this game is being developed by our sister studio in China, and is in no way affiliated with, or a sequel to TRANSFORMERS: Legends.
There are currently no plans for a US release.
There is no beta testing currently going on. Claims of invitation and access to a Transformers Rising beta are completely fabricated for reasons unknown to us.
This game’s development and existence does not affect or influence TRANSFORMERS: Legends in any way. We have heard a few players suggesting that this game’s arrival will mark the end of TFL, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
TRANSFORMERS: Legends is running strong with a bright future ahead of it, and we want to make sure that all of our loyal players are well aware of that.
DeNA and Efun Company Limited are finally bringing Transformers: Rising stateside!
The game will be officially released this Thursday, March 12th on both Android and iOS platforms, and to celebrate the release of the game, Efun is providing users a unique access code that will give them access to $99 worth of in game content and this promotion will run for a limited time.
The game almost didn't make it to the US, as we previously reported here last year, there were no plans to provide US fans with a release of the Transformers: Rising game.

With nearly a year's worth of time having passed, all of that has changed as mentioned above, the game will see it's US release later this week. As for the game itself and what it's about, the blurb below will somewhat help with that:
"The game's story takes place in the original Transformers universe, and deals with new exciting conflicts and enemies. In the game, players will recruit classic Transformers and combiners to tackle the thrilling campaign, battle other players, and take down the world boss."
It should be noted that the iOS version of the game will feature a special add-on to the game called "Save The Earth" which can be obtained by scanning the QR code on the main page of the official website: http://abxjg.efunen.com/
All further details (which we'll update as soon as they become available) can be found on the game's website and you can follow the newest updates on their Facebook page, which can be found right here.
Check out the game's trailer below, download the app and then come back to the forums to discuss this big news!

It's DENA ... that's a pretty big turn off right there. They're giving away $99 worth of in-game content. That's probably a good sign of just how much it will cost to continue to play the game. iOS only content? ugh ... that crap needs to stop. **** OS exclusives. And that video ... it has errors ... that's not a good sign.
Sorry, wasted too much time on TF:Legends and I really don't trust DENA.

What the heck is this game and why have I never heard of it? If it is anything like Legends, then it is a pass (I never really liked that game anyway).

El Duque's post will explain it:

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide. Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I have to agree with you, Burn.
Let the monkies waste their money. Allow them to share all of their personal information whether they're aware of it or not. iOS exclusive content? But it's on Android too. (is it on Windows like all other games?) Besides, exclusives is how Microsoft sells phones with their Minecraft buyout. (has anyone bought that pos hardware because it can finally run the previously "best game ever?") Pay extra for the apple with a bite out of it. Then pay again and again ad nauseum.
^THIS... is what makes the United States of America great.
But!, it's not being released in the US yet because you need to roll out a beta, just in case. Gotta make sure it collects all the information! (mmm... free outsourcing... *drool*)
Don't forget to love Facebook before you go to sleep.
P.S. If you end up downloading this 'free' app you're not getting $99. If you pay $.99, down the road, you're still not getting $98.01.
Transformers Rising has been through a rollercoaster ride and it doesn't look like it's over just yet. First it was announced, then it was denied a US release, then it was ready for release stateside and now it's delayed again.
Here's what Efun had to say:
for the moment the game is released in Southeast Asia region. We do apologize for the inconvenience we bring. Thanks.
The website is currently live and provides links to downloads for both Android and iOS, but the action of downloading was unsuccessful for many who tried and there seems to be no further info available outside of what Efun said above.
According to the Transformers: Rising Facebook page, apparently the US version released last week was for English speakers in the Asian areas of the world. The page does confirm that the US version is in development.
We can only hope they'll get the game's issues figured out and that a release will be here as soon as possible, and we'll keep you updated as we find out any new information we get to share with you.

With the closure of Transformers: Legends and Age of Extinction, DeNA still had mobile device games Transformers: Rising and Battle Tactics - though it now seems that even Rising will be coming to an end too. A Facebook post was uploaded and removed, but we still have a screenshot of it, mirrored below thanks a fan page for the game.
Could this have something to do with the arrival of Transformers: Earth Wars, a collaboration between Hasbro, Space Ape Games and Backflip? Discuss in the Energon Pub!

A step in the right direction of getting DeNa away from Transformers games completely.
Don't get butthurt when you get called out for expressing closed/small/narrow minded opinions. Educate yourself and form a better opinion.
I've never even heard of this game, but if it's like Legends and Battle Tactics it was probably a lousy pay-to-win slogfest with massive power creep that spat in the face of any attempt to collect all bots or have a diverse team.
It was released in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and then scrapped before being released anywhere else. But since it was basically TF Legends 2 from the sound of it, you didn't miss anything.
