Profile: [From the Personal Files of Shrinker; Head of the Psy-Ops Department of the Iaconian Asylum for Processor Disorders]
My first meeting with Rung had me…confused. I honestly did not know what to think. Here was a mech who looked as though he would fall apart at the slightest breeze, but upon observing his work he has taught me that not every mech needs to be physically imposing to make any kind of difference. Rung has a reputation of making his patients feel so comfortable that if they had any vital secrets they would gladly spill them…and not even know they were doing it. His report is uncanny that this scientist wishes he knew his secret.
During his time with us he has had a 65.14% rate of success in getting even the most emotionally isolated mech to confide in him. His compassion is near legendary, as is his patience. Rung is capable of doing just as much talking as his patients, which often causes issues with his superiors, but his results often account for them overlooking any discrepancies.
It is with great regret that Rung has chosen to leave this facility. His work and his report will be missed sorely. Although I am delighted that he has made the decision to move to Rodion and work independently, I do not believe he will make it an entire vorn.
It is at this time I should mention Rung’s numerous faults. Although the rate of his success in “getting his patients to talk” has increased, there have also been an increased number of deaths under his care. The probability that this is due in part to the severity of disorders in those patients has yet to be determined. I can only hope that this trend ceases, or at least stabilizes, once he has settled in with his new patients. [End File]
After his departure from the Psy-Ops department at the asylum, Rung relocated to Rodion and took on several patients. As he eventually settled into a regular routine the unrest within the castes finally took a foot hold resulting in the war.
As a psy-ops specialist, Rung was asked to perform profiles on potential Autobot recruits which resulted in the psychiatrist to join the ranks. Eventually Rung was sent to Garrus – 9 where he has been performing psychological evaluations and doubling as a therapist for not only the inmates, but the guards as well.
Abilities: Rung has an astounding ability when it comes to establishing a rapport with his patients. He has been known to spend days just listening to the troubles and tribulations of those under his care. He’s a sympathetic mech who can talk, almost anyone out of a difficult situation. He is no warrior, nor can he be considered a strategist, but his input on the masses is always useful. In his alt mode, Rung is capable of reaching a top speed of 180 mph with a range of 450 miles.
Weaknesses: Rung is a walking epigram for Murphy’s Law. Anything that can go wrong happens to Rung. He has been caught in the middle of fights that had not originally included him. Fortunately, he has avoided serious injury by nothing more than sheer luck.
Rung has been blown up and has had his limbs torn off, but he has never had to endure anything life threatening. There have been a few Autobots, and Decepticons, that consider him, at least outside of his office, as their personal bad luck charm. Most avoid him unless he has them on his couch.
