Just spotted Ray Fillet, Mondo Gecko, and Yellow and orange variant April. The back did not show any new villains and Rat King was removed.

At retail? I'll have to keep an eye out, I don't own an April. I'm glad the retail releases aren't the same as the versions in the box sets with the weird colors like April with too much white paint or Ray in a green shirt or even Movie Star Splinter that is just a repainted original splinter because they couldn't be bothered to flock the figure. Still hoping for a Mutagen-Man with all of his parts. I've been skipping figures I already have the originals of, but in hindsight I should probably get them to replace missing and broken parts.

And before I forget I finally found Mutatin' Don at Target, they had a bunch of him and Mikey, but no Leo or Raph.

Also the Mutant Mayhem figures are part of the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal at Target this week and they're marked down to $7 on Target.com, went ahead and got the four Turtles (because those are the only figures they have online) for $21, basically half off the total instead of 25% off.

BBTS has the vintage style Playmates Last Ronin figure on sale for $17.99 for the weekend, but I suspect it might not last long at that price. Grabbed one myself.

Ultimates have revealed new look for rat king with now 66% less rats -but has rats sculpted on him.

Not really sure what the fuss was about, first figure looked fine (and would have looked better than the render in hand) but I guess it was about having some of the toy details rather than the 'monster' look.

Doubt there will be a 2003 version soon if this is in wave 11.

Wave 11 turtles seem a bit lackluster too but no doubt others will like them.

Yeah, they were showing this set off at the summer conventions. I don't really get it, but I believe they're doing a couple more singles as well.

As many of you know, I love variants. Slight modifications on the same thing. So when I started the Shredder collection, the end result actually looks quite visually impressive (to me). I'm still on the lookout for '87 cartoon Shredder. Mirage Shredder, I'm less concerned about. I have the battle damaged version. So that is enough for me. He was initially a one and done villain after all.

Anyway, then along came Neca's Android Krang. So accurate to the cartoon it's amazing to look at. Which compelled me down the dark path of getting the variant: Super7's toy accurate Android Krang. One which, I'm quietly confident never reached the UK, back in the day. A random email from Super7 today, announced what I was looking for. The problem is.. it's fugly as hell!

Image

^I have zero interest in this. If you do, go for it. I think just the one Krang is enough for me though

I still like the Megablox Krang as my default, other than that the best axn one seems pretty good too but Necas upcoming larger Krang might tempt me at some point.

That Krang needs a lot more color. The original toy had stickers all over the torso, and while it's nice to see them as sculpted details, they should have painted them up instead of making them just silver. Maybe Playmates will give us a slightly off rerelease.

Dunno what they've done to bishop :( but even the nickelodeon series went wrong on the punk frog designs and karai, so maybe the new toon will be good for those that want to watch it.

So wait, those figures don't come with all of the parts to make each character? Or do they just come with duplicate parts so you can swap stuff without buying two figures?

Saw these at Walmart Tuesday morning.

20240319_075314.jpg

I heard they were reissuing the 2003 figures thanks to a review from Pixel Dan, but I had no idea they were reissuing the Auto Mutations figures. Only ones in the store were Leo and Raph and they were the only ones listed on the card so I guess those are the only ones being made. I already have my childhood Mikey so I really just need Don. They were $15 each, picked up both.

20240319_075317.jpg

Interestingly they're carded when the originals were boxed like the Mutatin' figures reissued at Target.

For the Retro line. Rat King is coming this year along with Casey Jones. No news on any other figures but focus seems to be on the 2003 figures. A shame. I was hoping for Slash, Mutagen Man, General Traag, and maybe Usagi.

I’ll pick up Rat King, especially since I never had him back in the day. Already got the last Casey reissue.

Also, kinda wishing Playmates would get a little more ballsy and maybe test the waters with some of the smaller retro vehicles like the Foot Knuckle and Cheap Skate.

I'll take a Casey and a Rat King, my Casey lost an arm shortly after I got him as a kid (he's long gone now) and my Rat King is very loose. I'm very surprised they haven't done Slash, MM and Traag at retail since they've all been recently reissued online. Usagi is kinda tricky since he's licensed separately, but I'd buy one. Would love a retail Super Shredder reissue as well. We do have those retro articulated figures coming sometime this year, maybe they'll do more characters there instead of reissuing them. Just hope they drop the textured skin, it looks stupid on these figures.

I think I'd actually be okay with paying customs and taxes to get the technodrome reissue. Hope they reissue the foot cruiser car at some point too.

Apparently this Technodrome is not 1:1 scale with the original, hence the $75 price tag. The smaller scale is not by much as the page says it's 13 inches tall. I think the original was 15 inches. Taking a closer look at the images, some things in it do look more compact.

Interestingly enough, they did remove the 'Temporarily Out of Stock tag on the page. It's possible they're gonna reopen it... hopefully.

Edit: Also, look like Kevin Na... erm... Super Shredder, movie Foot Ninja, Toka, and Rhazar are being released in a set of 4.

Yeah, the new Technodrome is definitely an entirely new toy made to look like the original. When looking at them side by side it's pretty obvious how different they are. The new one isn't as "bumpy" on the outside, the blue dividing floors don't have the same computer consoles underneath, and they've added a support leg to the outer walls. It's similar to what MOTU Origins did with Castle Grayskull and the other playsets, but the only real improvement on the Technodrome is the support legs.

There's actually two movie sets. One is available to buy now on Amazon that includes Super Shredder, Tokka, Rahzar and a Foot Soldier in their normal colors (though the FS has gray weapons instead of green). The second is one of those strange sets with different colors on BBTS. SS has a gray mask with black highlights, Rahzar has silver instead of copper and a black loincloth instead of green, and the foot soldier has green gloves and belt and no splatter paint. The fourth figure is listed as Splinter which I'm going to guess is the unflocked version from the later run and also the third movie.

There's also a listing for more reissues on BBTS. One is pack of Casey, Slash, Mutagen Man, and Rat King. Casey only comes with one bat instead of two, listing says "bats", but only one is in the package. Rat King only comes with the crossbow, no grappling hook despite coming with previous reissues. Slash looks great, has all of his accessories, the better black belt instead of purple, he's the one I want most since my original has a broken claw from my childhood. Finally Mutagen Man is finally complete with all of his accessories including the tiny bits meant to float around inside him. So much better than the previous one that only came with the hose and nothing to connect it to.

Also supposedly Sewer Sports Mike the Sewer Surfer and Slapshot Leo reissues are showing up in stores now. Odd since that Mike wasn't originally in the Sewer Sports line, it was just a regular figure. They're trying to shove too many figures in the same peg space between leftover regular reissues, Movie Star reissues, the black and white figures, the 2003 reissues and now these.

Also surprised I only saw the Night Ninja reissues once and never again, glad I got them.

The support legs are on the original toy, the original product/box image used for comparrisions is not what the old toy was actually like. Hopefully that is the case for the new actual real toy too. definitely a fair few changes bumpiness etc and maybe some have been made for saftery reasons. The new latches look a lot better if it ends up being that way. Only disadvante if the toy is smaller is if using larger modern figures with it (thoug h best axn should go great with it) and if it lost its connectability to the the old sewer set. Still looks great and a definite buy for me, hope that is true upon having it in hand if and when I cna purchase it.

Great news on Mutagen Man reissue finally getting a complete figure, weird about the changes on the others though.

They also updated not Bishop in any shape or form bio for the new series and surprisingly it isn't Casey Jones mum wanting to destroy the turtles for causing an interacial relationship between her son and April. I mean come on writers, if you are going to make things wrong, lets go to some kind of effort.

Another thing I noticed is they added in another platform for the lower guns which was missing in the original version.
