Great episode. Loved every minute on it on YTV! Subtle G1 references. More subtle than other eps but I noticed them.

I found it on youtube but the quality was quite bad but I did enjoy it. I actually like the constructicons even though I didn't like mixmasters look but the voice suites him.

I liked the part where Megatron has both of them by the throat. Very badass! And the Constructicons are big guys. Bigger than Lugnut or Bulkhead. Can you imagine how big Devastator would be if they had the other 4?! He maybe be as big as "you-know-who". If he survives, that may be a good reason to make more Constructicons. I will be disappointed if they are not voyagers. :-?

I been wondering what is YTV is that like Canada's version of Cartoon Network or something like Disney's Jetix just been curious about it.

Also they seem to get these episode a week in advance before we do that means that this will be on next week our Cartoon Network will anyways here is the full listing of TF Animated S2 that is if they will be no re-runs cause as you know that CN has a tendency of doing that every now and then. But here it is anyways a look into the future so you know when the epiosodes you want are coming on.

As for Season 3 I dont think that this will be on until the Fall/Winter or around Jan/Feb if they do it like previous TF shows I heard that the scripts are being already made for Season 3 so they could be out sooner than people may think considering the high ratings for the show.

As far as our show of Velocity goes it was an ok show it sucks that it dont show Blurr if that who he really was in his ALT mode but some say he is not Blur as for my self I will watch the series to find out on my own who he really his but I think he is Blurr but not 100% sure on that one.

As for people saying how cool and easy it is for them to make the Stunticons into the episode heck like people said even the Transfer that guy had even looked liked Motormaster. But since the previous episode was so G1 influenced maybe the producers thought that the fans were G1 pooped out.

But at least this new human villian guy was better than the Angry Archer and I dig is cool outfit it sort of like how the outfits on TRON was plus he had a cool Austrilian Accent. Also they used Blitzwing really well in this episode I diged his cool Ice Seeking Rockets that freezes stuff on contact.

a fun episode in spite of some crumby characterisations

one thing that bugs me bout animated is the cybetronian's behaviour - it's too humanised. absorption of human culture and being earth vehicles before comin to life with the allspark can explain only so much. i like my alien robots to behave like the highly advanced and intelligent alien robots they're meant to be.

But you forget something, Cybertronians are from cybertron, thats were the name comes from.
But all those Allspark made bots are not from Cybertron, meaning they are not cybertronian and not alien.

Touche!

They are indeed earth based Transformers and....in some or many respects very childlike. They are, in fact, children.

Children usually try to understand who they are, what they are and where they belong. And as I have seen children, they sorely want to fit in somewhere. They needed to be guided into right or wrong by some sort of person they can look up to.

Bulkhead was on the right track, but was not assertive enough with them. He did not wish to hurt their feelings, when they needed a good slap on the paddies. Optimus Prime and the others lacked the patience to "educate them" and instead figured that they'd be better off on their own or have someone else do it. Prime's "we're too good for them" attitude was what made them go to Megatron.

Indeed Blizwing and Lugnut were using them as bullies would. But Megatron did notice the potential. "Primes loss our gain". Also Megatron, being the bad aft con in this series, recognised their naivety and use that to his advantage. Rather than shove them out in the cold, he welcomed them in. He, unlike Prime, recognised that they were adept at construction. Something Prime would have easily been able to utilise.

Prime has not wanted anyone else in his "elite" group. This includes the Dinobots he wanted Destroyed. Probably wrekgar and Most certainly the Constructicons. Even if they wore the Insigna of the Decepticons, they could defect.

These characters are going through a rather interesting Psychological situation.

This was an interesting episode for sure. Definitely real life.

Rise of the Constructicons

Part 2

I love how the Constructicons act like Construction workers
Like how the Dinobots act like cavemen

I wonder if one day these Constructicons might join the Autobots

! i should've made myself clearer, I fully understand that the constructicons are earth based vehicles and their personalities are tinged by the humans that operated them

my complaint was more general with perhaps only megatron and magnus being more dignified

Saw this last night myself, once YouTube loaded a decent version of it, and it wasn't bad. I just do not much care for the way the Constructicons were done, regardless of the total assault on my G1 sensibilities. They appeared to me (and others as well) that they were supposed to be something along the lines of Joe Pecsi and Robert DeNiro crossed with stereotypical Jersey-type construction workers....The whole "Goodfellas" feel just put me off...A LOT!

It is good to see that Megs still maintains his manipulative air, even with him getting his body back! A TRUE Decepticon in every sense of the word! If TF:A keeps it up, they may replace BW Megs in my heart as the best animated Megs ever!!

All in all, this ep wasn't bad. Any ep with Blitzwing in it is salvagable....his wit is just awesomeness incarnated (especially in Crazy-Face mode!)! He makes me laugh!

Oh god...I love how they are stereotypical Construction workers. I fell over laughing when they started making cat-calls to a little red sports car.

EDIT: Hey...you ever notice how bots who were brought to life with AllSpark fragments...DON'T get those fragments taken away? Wreck-Gar, Starscream, now the Constructicons.

Prime character seen to get worse and worse to me if Sentinel aint around 2 burst his chops. I mean you lead the autobot that if they go one on one or two on one with a Con......they will be scrap metal but Prime always turn down every new bot that come online(Dinobots, Constructicons, and probably Wreckgar 2 if they met) by the all spark but at the same time its his job 2 collect them all and prevent the Cons from getting them but then again he is a Dipstick so that probably explain his actions

Megatron probably can sell a refrigerator 2 a Eskimo in my opinion

A fun episode, but not among my favorites. I rate it 6.5 out of 10.

It's well pointed out that Puritan Prime hasn't been the most welcoming of 'bots. They should get him focused on expanding the core autobot team in future episodes. Given the relative strength of the Decepticons, and weakness of the Autobots, they're not really taking adequate precautions to protect what allspark fragments they have.

Bulkhead was likable as ever in this episode. He's been a great character so far, and in many ways has shown the best judgment, though least confidence of all the autobots.

I thought it was kinda dumb the way the Constructicons just magically sparked to life, but I enjoyed the characterisation nonetheless. They had nothing to do with the mining vehicles that made up the barnacle monster from 'Nature Calls'. I guess that's too far back at this stage. I hope Mixmaster and Scrapper make return appearances soon. Even though it's been denied, I would like to see them add more constructicons and ultimately, Devastator.

Hmmm, I wonder if that mine from 'Nature Calls' is the same mine the decepticons are currently based in...

I didn't care too much for the episode. I thought the Constructicons were too comical in character. When they did it with Wreck Gar it was ok, it suits his character ok. However, these Constructicons just didn't feel right to me with the comedy. Maybe I'm too tied down to what I remember of the G1 constructicons, but these guys didn't "feel" right to me.

I think the host guy between shows said there were only two episodes left after this one? I thought more, but I think that's what he said.

That was some really good mis-direction and G1 refence at the start, when the Autobots were using a Green and Purple crane to help repair the bridge, but it turned out to be some other construction vehicles that became the Constructicons.

I enjoyed the way they were characterised, being stereotypical construction workers, whistling and calling out to that other car, and being so obsessed with drinking.

I like the way that these new transformers made from allspark fragments come to life not knowing anything about Autobots and Decepticons, and trying to find out where and how they fit into the world.

I'll have to watch the episode again to be sure, but I think the scale of the Decepticons was a little off in this episode. Megatron's always been show as the tallest of the 'cons, even towering over Lugnut, whose no shrinking violet. This episode, the Decepticons are all the same height in one scene, and Megs looks a little... stout.

For what it's worth...

I thought the Autobots (all of them) pretty much acted poorly in this episode.

I mean... think about it. These poor 'bots just came on line are about as defenseless (mentally) as children. Look how easily they were manipulated, etc., as they were not taught anything.

Bulkhead does the right thing by bringing them back to the Autobot base... and what does Prime do? Throw them out on the street.

...?

And then, right AFTER they've had their memories wiped, Bulkhead decides to act like a mean brute in front of them (yea, that's going to give the 'bots a healthy first image of the Autobots). Still they don't try to help them, they just let them loose on the planet.

I honestly felt very sorry for the Constructicons in this episode.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I felt EXACTLY the same way about this episode when I saw that part, which is why I didn't really like this one as much as the other episodes. Hey, this episdoe even makes that old Nanosec episode look good, and I know that one wasn't very popular.

I can't get enough of that episode. I watched it twice back to back and the second time was just as good as the first!

Blitzwing shined once again, and we got to see a little hint of Triple Takeover brewing in him too.

Megatron has the good oil. I loved it! Plenty of smiling, smooth talking Megatron getting drunk off the good stuff, and not too high and mighty to pass it around either.

The Contructicons were pure win. I'd throw back a barrel or two with those guys any day. Ok, porter on my part, but we'd get smashed, I swear.

Poor choices by the Autobots all around. :|

Those were the good old days, back on Cybertron, didn't have to sneak around. :P

Same here. However I'm finding Prime making poor decisions time and time again to be a refreshing change from his usual role of the bot who-can-do-no-wrong. Quite enjoying a flawed, inexperienced Prime.

To be fair to Bulkhead, he was probably so livid by their actions that he didn't register what Ratchet said. And who wants to be the one to try and stop a rampaging Bulkhead?
