In head mode if you move his arms out you can kinda give him his antennas.

Again, if you want a "proper" Nightbeat, just repaint Loudmouth. Remember that G1 Siren's and Nightbeat's heads are switched in-fiction?

The G1 toy didn't have a visor either.[BW] Rainmaker wrote:I wish Nightbeat was more like Nightbeat, he doesn't have a visor and I wish he did.
Only reason he ended up with a visor in fiction is cuz somehow the character models for his and Siren's heads apparently ended up getting swapped between each other back in the day:

If you want more images of these wave 2 Titanmasters, we have an entire gallery of their appearance at Botcon 2016.
The second wave of Titanmasters includes:
Apeface
Clobber (aka Grimlock)
Brawn
Skythread (aka Flywheels)

I'm certainly into him. Then again, I'm into all but Brawn and Clobber...

As a toy, Brawn looks to be my favorite thus far, but as a character, I'd rather an '87-'88 character to go with the others (which is why Clobber looses out to Crashbash/Squeezeplay).

I prefer the general retail titanmaster, but will gladly take more paint apps on Fort Max himself.
Are there more paint apps? I didnt see any more, just extra stickers.
Will the SRP be by a wide margin (aside from the availability) between the SDCC and retail? To entice Spikey and others to get this version.
Paint apps? Not necessarily more but the one on his chest seems to be new.
There appears to be new red on his upper thighs, I don't think those are stickers~
but what was the price difference on Devastator/Metro? I thought it was maybe ~$50? which to a degree... if you're dropping at least $120... what's a "little" extra? I regret not going with SDCC/Takara Metroplex... that chrome/silver really livened him up.

Does that mean Clobber is supposed to be Grimlock?

I'm sure we'll get bodies for the heads at some point whether their released in the main line, as exclusives, or through third party companies. Or like you said during May Mayhem or something similar. Hasbro might also have the chance to release UW Blast Off next year during May mayhem

Why hopefully? I mean, I think it looks a bit crap, but it's still a new mold and a lot of people would like it.

But there's definitely other reasons to get the Takara sets as well - especially in Bruticus' case, who Brawl and Swindle aside has completely different colours. Defensor also had a different colour scheme reflecting his flatter cartoon colours more.
It's not really invalidating the Takara sets at all, and it seems a bit entitled to say "Well I waited for it so only I should get it".

Takara's Fort Max is the only one with colors that actually look like Fort Max colors. Neither the Hasbro retail version nor the Hasbro SDCC version has colors that match any known Fort Max color scheme. The Hasbro retail version has a Cerebros head that is based on the one Cerebros had in The Rebirth and the Marvel Comics, but that's it. The rest of the set looks nothing like the color scheme Fort Max in the cartoon.Prowl4 wrote:=P~Kurona wrote:Prowl4 wrote:So is the sdcc or general retail version of fortress maximus closer to the g1 American toon?

Hasbro retail:
Hasbro SDCC:
TakaraTomy:
Out of all three, it's Takara's Fort Max whose colors end up resembling the American cartoon Fort Max colors the closest.

No it's not. Takara from the get go have said they were producing groove and blast off. Perhaps you weren't looking when the entitlement and whining of Hasbro should do them started. Ever since takara announced groove there was an entitlement and now too it's starting with blast off. I believe the takara decoes are always going to be better but promoting stuff as an exclusive then somewhere else releasing it isn't an exclusive. If something in America is an exclusive the wider world don't get it. What irritates me is people going Hasbro bashing takara then looking for scraps off takaras table by getting their exclusives.

Early stock photos and colored samples on display at events had them, but looking at in hand photos of the final released product, apparently the red on the feet didn't make the cut.Agamemnon wrote:I thought Hasbro Retail was supposed to have red on the top of the feet....

At the very least, Hasbro waited several months before doing their own release of Deluxe Groove, and initially only made it available in Taiwan as a Toys 'R' Us promotional exclusive. So anyone who wanted Groove badly enough got it from Takara long before Hasbro put theirs out, so anyone who got Takara's when it came out not only got first dibs on the figure but also got four other specially-painted figures and a very nice display box in which they were all packaged. Whereas Hasbro's release of Groove was bare bones and got no such bells and whistles.Prowl4 wrote:Kurona wrote:Prowl4 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Prowl4 wrote:I don't think Hasbro should be allowed to make takara exclusives as single card figures when fans of the takara version have waited. Whoever did the display model didn't transform the right leg properly & 2nd, ALL versions of Fortress Maximus come w/the guns. The leg guns detach & have pop-out handles that fit perfectly in-hand. The only difference seems to be the Master sword. Overall nice figure. I will be picking up the Takara version.
Posted by Sabrblade on June 18th, 2016 @ 9:59am CDT
Those aren't the guns people want, though. The guns people want are guns like the two big guns that the G1 toy had that were separate from the leg cannons, which did not detach from the legs on the G1 figure. People want this Fort Max to be as armed, both handheld and body-wise, as the original.@tr_414 wrote:2 things guys...

Technically, they've revealed Fortress Maximus, they have not revealed the cerebros headmaster figure, or their master sword.
Posted by LE0KING on June 18th, 2016 @ 2:11pm CDT
I think I'll get all the figures that were headmasters originally and pass on all the random figures they made headmasters for no reason.
Just like I passed on the characters they made combiners for no reason.
Not a G1 purest by any means, but some gimmicks just don't match some characters.
