Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Spinout and Cordon 2-Pack $39.99
http://q.entertainmentearth.com/?l=1wn8gj
A pre-G1 classic! The Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Spinout and Cordon 2-Pack draws inspiration from classic Diaclone toys released before the original Transformers toy line from Hasbro. The white Cordon and the red Spinout are ready for battle against the Decepticons as some of the elite Autobot warriors that just never quite made it into their biggest adventures. These WFC-GS20 Cordon and Autobot Spin-Out figures are Hasbro's first U.S. release of the characters. These characters are based on two of the original Takara Tomy Diaclone figures. Originally, the Spin-Out Diaclone was redeo'd yellow and released as Sunstreaker, now a Sunstreaker figure returns the favor. WFC-GS20 set designed for ages 8 and up.
These WFC-GS20 Cordon and Autobot Spin-Out figures are our first U.S. release of the characters. Paying homage to the OGs of converting toys, these characters are based on two of the original Takara Tomy Diaclone figures. Originally, the Spin-Out Diaclone was redeo'd yellow and released as Sunstreaker, now a Sunstreaker figure returns the favor. Cordon and Autobot Spin-out figures both convert from robot to sportscar modes in 16 steps and each figure comes with a blaster accessory that attach to the figures in robot and sportscar modes. Includes Generations Selects Deluxe Class Cordon and Autobot Spin-out figure, 2 accessories, and instructions.

And fine and good, but why is he 42.99 on Pulse????
Because he comes with the 2 cassettes???
He does not.
I was honestly asking... So that price really doesn't make sense.
I do prefer less of the battle damage paint apps, but no way is that worth $43+.
But if you don't get him, you can't join the Takara Elite where the exact same toys with slightly different paint jobs are at least twice as good as the same toys you can get for half.

Yeah, I wasn't being a jackass, I was honestly answering. The Pulse write-up specifically states he doesn't come with the cassettes. I should said "NArrator Voice: He does not."

It's an import, not a Hasbro piece, so it gets the equivalent to the Japanese price of ¥4,950. It's the same reason why the Selects combiners aren't $110.
And yes, I ordered both Soundblaster and the Terrorcons.

I guess that makes sense. I have a buddy trying to sell me the OG Terrorcons for like 20 bucks, so I'm gonna skip that one.

No it's all good... I was making sure I wasn't coming off as a jackass...
I do have the original... I got him from Walmart when he was just over $22.
Definitely will not get this Takara version, because there are plenty of other figures on the horizon I'm actually excited about (I just posted about my love for SS86 Scourge, and the possibility of getting 3 of those).
But I'm still tempted by that Abominus set!!

Cosplayer looks better for having an undamaged chest and I dont mind it not being black with it not really being Soundblaster but it's not worth the price to me when I'd struggle to justify earthmode Soundwave with cassettes (Ravage is pretty much just chest filler) at the same price.

The first is a review from fellow Seibertron user and YouTube toy reviewer, PrimeVsPrime.
The second is a review from new YouTube toy reviewer, The Mr Stan Show.
Generations Selects Bugbite is a redeco of Earthrise Deluxe Class Cliffjumper with Bumblebee's head. He's also sporting the Mercenary badge. This marks the second time that Cliffjumper served as the basis of a Selects figure, following Hubcap who also uses a different head.
What do you think of this toy? Do you have a preorder in for this hired gun? Or do you still wish that they had redeco'ed Bumblebee completely, keeping the VW like alt mode? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I'm going to be negative and uncompromising about this, and here's why:
His name is Bugbite. There's at least 10x the wordplay of Bumblebee's name baked into that. Hasbro should have used the Bumblebee version of the mold, dug out the Classics mold and rehashed G.O.D. Bugbite (at Voyager price if need be), or just not bloody bothered. Because with that name, he needs to be a VW Bug, whether licensed or genericized. The Cliffjumper version of the mold is neither, so this is a complete and total waste of plastic. I'd rather buy an incomplete Armada Side Swipe at WFC Leader price, than this excuse for Bugbite.

This is very likely a legal thing where VW don't want a licensed evil VW Transformer figure.
I'm more disappointed about the lack of purple patterning on the doors/hood personally.

But what's also interesting is that Hasbro is treating this toy as a Selects figure while Takara is instead treating it as a normal Siege figure.
I wonder if that means that Hasbro actually assigns the TT-GS numbers. That might explain the almost completely random way they have been numbered so far and TT's Siege Nemesis Prime not having one.
All Selects ID's are Hasbro, TakaraTomy doesn't assign any to their releases in a strange twist.

This. Botcon and Flame Toys did it, I have no idea why the Selects one couldn't have had that color scheme

My guess is they were trying to be faithful to the original toy's deco.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Deadput wrote:I'm more disappointed about the lack of purple patterning on the doors/hood personally.

After all, the BotCon version was a body upgrade from that toy, so the new Bugbite toy may be intended to resemble his base form as a Transformer.

Which brings up this question: has there ever been an official white Classic Beetle? Outside of Herbie

Kinda sorta my thoughts as well, except my Soundblaster is the FOC one with his Buzzsaw

That's weird, my order summary still says ships approx 10-24. I fully expect at least a 2 month delay in any case, which actually works out just fine for me. I was just dealt a financial blow and will most likely have to cancel anyway, but a delay would give me a little time to consider selling off something else instead to make it work.

I just checked a few order summaries and none of themhave estimated ship dates except God Neptune. I then checked some products pages like the Shattered Glass 2-pack and the Netflix Spoiler w/ Nemesis and they no longer have estimated ship dates noted.

Tigertrack is a redeco of the Siege Deluxe Class Sideswipe mold and is a homage to the color of the toy that would become Sideswipe, in the original Diaclone line. The toy comes with Red Alerts gun and and a piece from Siege Deluxe Class Six-Gun/Cromar to act as his shoulder mounted rocket launcher.
The review includes comparisons with all the other uses of the Siege Sideswipe mold so far.
We have embedded the review below for your convenience:

The bummer for me is that there isn't a Sideswipe sans battle damage... He is one of my favorite Autobots, but I don't really want either of the recent figures of him.
So Tigertrack is a bit tempting... But I'll hold off for now. But who knows. With SS86 not being released until April... Hmmmmm.

I thought I was being preliminarily charged for him earlier this month, but the charge disappeared and for some reason in my Pulse orders, my original order shows as cancelled with a re-order of the figure right after the cancellation, so I have no idea what's going on there.
I expect a delay, which wouldn't be too bad, but then at the normal rate of 2 month delay that would put a pretty big charge right around Christmas, which I honestly would not want.

I'd argue December 23 would be worse, still get charged before Christmas, but nothing under the tree because it takes Pulse a minimum of a week from charging to actual shipping.

With the delay, that means that Maverick, Hot House, Bug Bite, Black roritchi, SS As seen in Parks Megatron, AND God Neptune will all be released within 4 days of one another, $350 worth of bots pretty much in one go, and no paypal credit to help either.
That's an overload right around the time when Christmas shopping is at the peak

I just seem to recall Super Megatron getting pushed back at least twice...but that could be faulty memory based on peoples posts since I didn't actually order one myself. Has Super megs even been released on Pulse yet? (even though it is sold out, usually they still show the estimated arrival date but I dont see any)

Super Megatron should be shipping Decemeber 1st.
Does anyone else think this will result in several cancellations? Cause it being that close to Christmas is already making me consider cancelling, especially as I wss already debating that with Super Megatron, but $300 right at the start of Decemeber is a bit too much.

That's my problem as well, especially since it's on a credit card. Why they can't allow paypal for preorders is beyond me.
I may cancel my other preorders for God Neptune, he is the one i most want from the first week of December jam
Posted by o.supreme on October 21st, 2020 @ 11:33am CDT
Also, while I'm not going to get political (as I myself am apolitical), some U.S. fans are probably hedging their bets on a hopefully 2nd stimulus payment before this date comes...We will see.

I've also cancelled a few pre-orders (including super megs) in favor of keeping God Neptune, but I was planning on him not coming out until December anyway with Pulse's entire history of Takara Selects always being 1-2 months late.
