This time we get to see the top half body of starscream.
The images show the gimmicks of Mechalive features for Starscream. His mouth is able to open and close by pulling the lever on his chest.
The leaked images of the toy still is still in prototype stage and no application of any paintwork.

Might want to get that painfully-obvious jealousy under control, there. Face it, Screamer's HOT. (insert off color 'armor = hard' ref here). (Ducks modly wrath).
I require a towel to wipe up the puddle of drool on my desk. Seriously, I will cry if I do not get this figure.
Do not ask what I will do when I get this figure.
HK, be happy. I'll be very happy if I get this figure. What did you think I meant?

I'm conflicted. I want 2010 to get here faster now, but on the other hand that year also puts me officially on the downhill to 40...

Looks sweet so far. Still, kinda worried about the alt mode, because that's what killed it for me with the 2007 and ROTF voyagers, what with the head and later the hands popping out from the back...
Convotron wrote:Very nice detailing on the pictures shown so far! Now, hopefully the lower body will be good too. I'm not a fan of the movie Starscream bot design(space Dorito) but if the Leader class figure is done well, I may buy it so I can have a movie Starscream aside from the 07 Protoform figure.
Space Dorito! I truly laughed at that one, bro! Yeah, the Screamer's G1 incarnation (the MP one, at least) is worlds better than any of the later ones.

I could almost forgive a cost-cutting measure like that in a voyager, but not in a Leader class. It's too expensive a product for a consumer to tolerate cost-cutting, IMO.
Let's just hope the designers actually use more of their budget on quality and movie-accuracy than those annoying gimmicks that made the Ultimate Bumblebee such a shelf-warmer.
Sound effects and light-up eyes, fine. Transparent glowing gun barrels? Noooo!!!!

and also: Awww man, common, ROTF Ultimate Bumblebee Battle Charged isn't too bad. He's nowhere near perfect, but the sheer size of the guy is worth it (my girlfriend bought it for me for only 69 on sale) but i do agree with wishing they spent more money on accuracy in Ultimate 'Bee's transformation, etc than on the useless motors and gimmicks.

Heheh, I admit I was kinda harsh about Ultimate BB, but I've heard that the ROTF version is much improved from the 2007 one in terms of head-sculpt and overall moderation of its gimmicks.
IMO, Hasbro holds a very traditional point of view when it comes to marketing. To them, the more lights, sounds and missiles you cram into a toy, the more kids will want to buy it. Partly true, except most parents might not want to fork out the cash for it. And at the other end of the market, there's us adult collectors who are more demanding when it comes to screen-accuracy and proportions. In short, Ultimate BB sits between those kids who want it to death but can't get their dad to buy it, and those of us who won't buy it due to its less-than perfect proportions and lack of screen-accuracy.
Still you're right in that its sheer size does make it a worthy buy, if you don't currently have any other TF's on your to-buy list.
