I believe the mouth looks a bit more defined- this could just be the lighting though

I've noticed that too. It's BB with puppy dog eyes. Don't think the Decepticons will be intimidated by him.

And what the hell is wrong with BB's face/eyes? BB is suppose to be a warrior for the autobots, and not to look like puss n boots from Shrek 2!!!

It looks like the normally stark white face has been lighted differently for the promo photo or that someone has gone in with a fine tip marker and highlighted some details.

That's Hasbro's Bumblebee that comes with the two-pack of N.E.S.T. Soundwave.

Yep. I downloaded this Bludgeon shot and the Hasbro box art and they are the same pict, highlights and all. I hope the final release has the usual excellent Takara paint apps.

Almost all of the Japanese ROTF Line has been US ROTF figs with a sticker on the box. Why start changing now?

I guess since I've never paid any attention to the Takara movie line, I never put two and two together there. Guess you learn something new every day. I won't be holding my breath for a "Henkei-style" Bludgeon.

The first movie line did have a couple Japanese variants:
- MA-03 Bumblebee has the intended translucent plastic, while Hasbro's Classic Camaro Bumblebee used solid colors.
- MA-18 Nightwatch Optimus Prime (and the Argos UK version) does not have the Allspark blue of the US version.
- MA-19 Landmine has a different shade of plastic.
- MD-22 Incinerator was mostly black instead of grey.

Also, Landmine, Incinerator, Stockade, and Black Arcee came with miniature AllSpark cubes.
