Episode #108 "2014, We'll Meet Again" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
With 2014 coming to a close, why not go out with some reissues that I don't think anyone saw coming.
Now that most of us finally have most of the new Robots in Disguise figures in hand we discuss our thoughts on wave 1.
Tonight we will wrap up our ongoing discussion about the cute little beetle, Masterpiece Bumblebee.
(31:57:05)
The special topic of discussion tonight is one that many people seek out others opinions and help. How to display your collection! The cast will discuss everything from shelving options, lighting and how to protect your precious investments. So you better tune in
(P.S. : We will be posting photos of our collections in the comments!)
The time has come to take a stoll down memory lane and reflect upon the highs an lows of 2014...it's time for the Awesome Twincast Year In Review Extravaganza of Opinions!
First up we will discuss our favorite media (TV/Video Games/Books/Internet & Mobile Content)
What was our favorite comic of the year? I think it was a unanimous decision!
Our favorite Age of Extinction toy? (are you surprised we could even think of one?)
Up next, we'll discuss our favorite Generations figure was of the year.
The Masterpiece line certainly had some amazing releases this year so we will discuss what our personal favorite was, which may be pretty obvious!
Next up, our favorite exclusive of 2014!
There were quite a bit of impressive third party releases this year, the crew had a hard time pick
and of course we conclude our 2014 recap with the our least favorite of the year...
On that note, with the 30th Anniversary coming to a close, we discuss the highlights and where we think Hasbro/Takara missed out on.
2015 is looking promising with Combiner Wars but you'll have to tune in to hear our predictions and we will see if they come true!
The crew would like to thank Wheeltron for tonights Listener Question!
Of course we finish up the night with an exciting round of Bragging Rights.
That wraps things up for another episode! We sincerely hope you enjoy this one.
Don't forget, the show only gets better if you tell us how. Drop us a review on iTunes and be sure to tell us what you love, what you hate, and what you want to hear!
Not on the show to give your take? Probably not, so don't forget to keep the discussion going on the Seibertron.com Energon Pub Forums by simply replying to this post!
Got a question for the Twincast? We take all of them, we just don't take them all seriously! Leave a question in the Ask the Twincast thread and, if it makes the cut, it may get read and answered on the show.

Ya, Classics Bumblebee is bigger than MP Bumblebee. That's my biggest issue with these new MP cars, Deluxe figures are bigger than them. I love them, they're the best G1 toys to get, but I just have a problem justifying the price due to their size.

Just to do something different, I shot a quick video this morning.
Then I left something out so I took another. It has a special cameo at the end

Bought that at Botcon 2013 from Josh Burcham's table. Not sure if he sells online anywhere but I'm sure you could hit him up on Twitter and maybe he'd sell you a print if he's still got any?

Just wanted to add two cents about shelving. Ikea has a lot of great options. One of their more inexpensive systems is called Ivar. They are simple but large shelves with lots of modular options. The big shelves measure 20 in. deep by 32 in. wide. There are cabinets, drawers, and you can even turn corners with them. I bought the pictured unit in '98, and it has held up since.
I think I paid about $175 for this unit. I have a similar unit opposite this one.
I have built a lot of inner shelves and pieces to maximize space using height. I am about to start a major overhaul, pack up my star wars, and move the legos, because I am on a TF high right now, and it's killing me that half my TFs are packed up.
Just wanted to show another option. Cheers all.

Exactly. And spare parts.ScottyP wrote:Those are pretty cool. I like the drawers, could use them for paperwork!

I'd like to introduce you to quite a few women I've met in my life padawan.

That was a good segment of the episode, thanks podcasters. I like hearing Claire's take as a new reader, and wholeheartedly agree on the general endorsement - why are people not reading the comics, even just to try them out? Pick out some early MTMTE, LSTOW, Windblade, xRID pre-12, post-DC, read. Then diss it, if you can.
RodimusConvoy13 you were a nice addition to the cast too! Definitely cannot decide which of the guest podcasters I like most. Maybe keep the rotating cast..?
As for the Rhinox 2013/14 debacle - I care not. It counts as 2014 in my mind. I think TFWiki says so too. Our post was from 2014, and I definitely got it in 2014. So there.

Thanks, man! I had a great time recording.
Had I know the price of that platinum insecticon set at the time of recording, I would have had even less kind stuff to say about it.

Btw, I miss the time skips or whatever they're called. I'm one of those rare weird-o's that doesn't read the comics and I usually skip the comic discussions.
As always, good episode guys and gal.

Love the cameo. I get a huge kick out of seeing your lady's pics of him. Looks like a big sweetheart. Very interesting to see how people display too. Fun show.

I'd love to post mine but I was told that Seibertron has rules about risque photographs.

Same here! Despite the size of my collection, I always enjoy seeing others immensely. There are so many Transformers out there that I guarantee almost everyone owns at least one that I don't. Plus, I'm so unfocused it's really fun to see good looking small displays of particular series/sublines/characters, since I just cram everything in wherever it'll fit.

Thanks man! And yeah, Candace's Facebook is as much Dorian's as it is hers. Possibly more pictures of him than her on there.

Wajo357 wrote:Great collections! Can you guys post links to the cases online? I remember hearing about a cheap Walmart one and would love to see what you were talking about.
I can't find it on Walmart's site, but I found the Target equivalent https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com%2Fp%2Froom-essentials%20...%20A-12630803%3C%2Fa%3E
I don't think I've ever paid more than $25 for something similar to that at Walmart. Nothing fancy, but they work just fine. Though, knowing the size of your collection (which dwarfs mine) I'd say you'll need about three dozen of them

As I continue to listen to old episodes....
It was so very awesome to hear talk of the beloved old magazine Toyfare. I’m now going to dig out some old boxes and look at old issues.
