Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian TF-fan kev777, we have news that the hard to find final wave of War for Cybertron Siege Micromasters will be seeing a restock at Entertainment Earth for retail price!

The final wave of the Siege Micromasters proved to be a hard to find wave, as there were very few sightings and even fewer online listings. This wave consists of the Battle Squad (Direct-hit and Power Punch) and the highly sought after Soundwave Spy Patrol 2 (Ratbat and Rumble). The listing on Entertainment Earth is for both sets, and is listed as $19.99, which is retail price for the wave. You will need to pay shipping, as Entertainment Earth shipping is only free on in-stock orders over $79, but it is far better than paying ebay prices for these guys.

Check out the listing, and let us know if you pre-order these guys and finally secure them below!

Is there any noticeable difference between Trenchfoot and Pinpointer?

So really only the 5mm peg location and the 1 vs 2 barrels for the gun

Plus the head, chest, arms, and legs. Actually, the only thing they share is the colour scheme (and even then Trenchfoot has the white on his torso and yellow on his visor).

Compared to Trenchfoot, Siege Pinpointer is closer to the G1 version with the rounded shoulders, head and colors, despite being a redeco of Firedrive:

Although in the Headmasters Anime, he did have a yellow visor, like Trenchmouth. But the added white ties the latter specifically to Covert Clone (aka G2) Sideswipe.

But in terms of color placement and significant features. I honestly don't pay attention to the differences between the gun dudes except for transformation, and by extent of that the peg location, and the number of barrels.

There's a difference in transformation as well: Trenchfoot faces down in gun mode, Pinpoint faces up ;)

So, the Firedrive mold is somewhat closer detail-wise.. But it would still need detail kitbashing to properly match, and of course the transformation would need to be reworked (The SIEGE Battlmasters and the Legends Targetmasters they're poor man's versions of ALL transform wrong :BANG_HEAD: :-x ).

With some I don't really see how it can be done without them easily breaking, losing accessories, or have the barrels not interfere.

Look at Universe Nightstick and MP Firebolt, they show ways it can be done. And I know for a fact SIEGE Firebolt could have been done better; I did a very simple kitbash to that end.

Also, "Without losing accessories" isn't a valid argument here because one of the big factors in the SIEGE Battle Masters' divergence was having the ability to pop the barrels off and stick them to the Battle Master's arm. Which to me makes it extra-annoying that they messed up Blowpipe by referencing the Legends version, since his original design partsformed already and would only have needed minor changes :-x .

Today I finally found the Netflix deluxes at my store. I picked up each one and looked at them carefully, and after close in-hand inspection, I must say that I am underwhelmed. This is clearly just a cashgrab by Hasbro to get fans to double- or even triple-dip on some molds. The only one I even considered getting was Scrapface, because combining him with 2 Refraktors would liven up an otherwise somewhat bland-looking camera mode. But Chromia, Mirage, Hound and Sideswipe? Like it's been said, they look like someone played with them in the mud and stuck them back in the box. So I left them on the shelf. I might get Scrapface, because I actually like the colors as well, so even if I don't combine him with Refraktors, he would look good on the shelf. The others? Pass. As usual, if any of you have a hard time finding them, I'd be happy to pick any of them up for you at cost plus shipping.

Add Ultra Magnus to this. That's my problem with them too. Repaint all you want but here, it's lazy.

Remember though that the line is going to be primarily aimed at those getting into the show, be that kids or new adult collectors who want ease getting things in store rather then back tracking online. I assume the new paint jobs will reflect their look in the show. Hasbro probably looked at things and assumed there would be no Siege stock left on shelves and felt that just re-releasing the old figures might not have played too well with continuing fans. So we got these releases.

These figures aren't for us not to mention that they are better painted then the Siege ones even if they have more "battle damage" there was still more effort put into them.

While the paintjobs being good is subjective, I would absolutely not call the Netflix figures Lazy, these are the characters in the show they will not be brand new characters.

Decepticon Mirage and Scrapface exist probably due to reasons in the show.

The "Not for us" argument is a bit moot considering how much more expensive those Netflixformers are compared to normal releases. Like for Megatron, the normal Voyager is 40$can but the Netflix edition is 60$can. A targetmaster is normally 8$can. So that's 12$can in extra charge.

Paying this much is usually not something a parent is willing to pay for little Timmy's toy.

Mirage is at least a unique purple and pale blue color scheme and could readily be repurposed as a separate character if desired.

About that. I can see a bit of a gap in your logic there.

-Kanrabat- wrote:A targetmaster
It's this.
Recall that he comes with not one, but TWO Battle Masters.

-Kanrabat- wrote:So that's 12$can in extra charge.
So you're wrong here.

40 + 8 + 8 = 56, so the extra charge only amounts to 4$can. Which is probably accounted for by the metallic paintjob on Megs.

I may be entirely too amused by that clip.

-Kanrabat- wrote:Paying this much is usually not something a parent is willing to pay for little Timmy's toy.
Might still be right about this part though.

Zelda no need to overkill it with your "you're wrong" posts.

So the overcharges would "only" be 4$. So what? That's still a overcharge. Normally with box set of multiple figures, it's supposed to be a deal. Buying the box set should be more worth it than buying figures separately. For example the rainmaker box set is 100$can normally and the voyagers are 40$can normally. So that's 20$can saved if you buy the set full price. So just imagine if the box set would have gone "full Netflix" and cost 140$can. Not sure if the box set would have as much success as it had.

And no, paint is not an excuse because the SS Damaged Megatron, 07 Megatron, Leader Grimlock and Shockwave were all painted to the gills and were the same price as the rest.

I think it's just cuz Hasbro likes rounding to the nearest number ending in 0 a lot of the time when it comes to multipacks like this. Whether that's rounding down, like with the US price for these Netflix Voyagers ($40, when individually it'd be $30+$6+$6=$42) or rounding up (like with the US price for the Siege Amazon Skywarp and Sideswipe/Slamdance packs, which were both $50, when individually they'd be $30+$6+$6+$6=$48 and $20+$20+$6=$46 respectively).

Hasbro just likes these to be rounded to multiples of ten. Sometimes that means we pay less than the sum of its parts, sometimes it means we pay more.

We already know that there are two waves of these with five more Deluxes coming, we just don't know who. ;) The last five should include two floor pieces, a back wall, and two back corner walls.

Instead of battle damaged repaints I wish they had followed Scrapface's and Mirage's lead and either do repaints or new characters with the other three. I'm thinking Tigertracks, Titan Hunter Chromia (deco only, not in name), and either Detritus, Ironfist, or Rollbar (in Alternators orange as his own characters, maybe a new name). Do we know if Scrapface is even in the cartoon?

Are they guarenteed deluxes? Cause I'd be surprised if we didn't get an Optimus. Detritus would be an amazing figure to see, though if we do see him, I'd want to see the gimmick that Doubledealer has where he can "swap sides". Or give the Mercs a unique faction symbol design

That literally derails the entire point of the line, this is the Netflix line based off the characters in the show, there is most certainly no Tigertracks or Ironfist in the show itself so why would this line ever use them?

If Decepticon Disguise Mirage (confirmed somewhere that this is only a disguise for Mirage) is in the line then there is a likely purpose to it in the show which probably has to do with the subplot of recruiting Impactor to the Autobots, if Scrapface is in the line over Refraktor who themselves are in the show then I'm sure Scrapface is in the show as well because it wouldn't make sense to make up a whole new character with a new Deco if they had nothing to do with the Netflix show.

The first wave was 1 leader, 2 voyagers and 5 deluxes. The second wave will be 5 deluxes for sure to complete teletran, and likely 2 more voyagers and another leader.

It's unlikely they'll give us new molds just for the show, and we already got Scrapface, so which other Cons could they use? Brunt and Barricade are the only deluxe Cons besides Refraktor, right? Or maybe they can take the Autobot molds and make Cons out of them. Impactor is a good candidate for a Con.

If we just look at the characters in the trailer with Siege figures that haven't been used yet there's Cog, Cog in Six-Gun's colors, Barricade, Skytread, and Decepticon Impactor. That's quite a few options there, plus I'm thinking we'll likely get Ironhide or at least use of his mold.

I think that red and gray Cog probably has a good chance of becoming a figure. We should probably get an Autobot Impactor with the IDW/Amazon head even if he uses the retail head in the cartoon.

^On the one hand, that recolored Cog (who I wouldn't say is full Six-Gun colors since the chest looks silver rather than white) could just be a throwaway recolor generic. On the other hand, it could also be a SIEGE version of Grand Max's Cog:

Barricade is already an example of this. :P And it is what I mainly had in mind (although I wouldn't say no to a Flash Sentry, a Brownie redeco of Refraktor, or Brunt in a bluer and slightly lighter purple and sporting green spots).

Indeed, although really you could use any of 'em. Hound has an obvious pick: Detritus, contracted by the 'Cons. They could also do Metroshot. That would be nice, give the 'Cons another Weaponizer.

I'm actually thinking that wave 2 might also include some Earthrise molds. Specifically I'm guessing Leader Earthrise Prime in a "burnt to a crisp" redeco.

I don't think you live in a snowy area because you'd know about the bane of de-icing salt and dirt that get stuck and gnaw away at your car. What you see stuck on the car above is NOT snow. It's pure powdered highly corrosive and abrasive minerals. Often, it can get browner and darker than this. Disgusting stuff.

Sixgun-colored Cog would certainly be a more interesting repaint than "Some of the main Siege shelfwarmers but dirty", at the very least. Detritus would also be interesting and welcome, and I have a mighty need for a Tetrajet Sunstorm figure, but other than that, I can't think of any explicit repaint characters who could be done from Siege molds that I actually think Hasbro would put in this line (barring more Seekers I guess), so I'm just hoping for more surprises like Decepticon Mirage.

It also depends on who is in the show I would imagine, if this wasn't a Netflix show line based on the cast in that show I would imagine most of these repaints would instead be "new" characters like Hound being Detritus.

So I just picked up the deluxe line of Siege Netflix minus Chromia, who wasn't there. I've not opened them yet, as I'm weighing what I want to do with them. Sideswipe and Hound, especially. Scrapeface is a keeper, and Mirage is likely to be one as I can pretend he's somebody else.

I know a lot of people don't like the dirt, but honestly it looks pretty good in hand. The other thing is, Hound has no dirt, but he has worn gold on his hood/chest. I need to do a comparison against the Siege version to see how that plays out. Should I decide to keep him, I'll give the OG Hound to my son. I'm torn on Sideswipe. I may give the Netflix one to my kid minus the weapon since he hasn't been keeping up with them all that well. I don't know. Decisions, decisions.

There were no Voyagers or price stickers for them, so I didn't miss them, but I probably would have bought them and only Scrapface if I had the choice.

I definitely don't want to be buying these guys just for the Teletraan-1 backdrop, but I'm an addict.

Mirage doesn't look as much dirty as diseased.

Well, Mirage's deco is more about the "look evil"; the battle damage played second fiddle to that. His deco kinda reminds me of the purple camo on Cybertron Sky Shadow.

Which, given the nature of Decepticon!Mirage...

I fucking love that mold. It always bothered me that we didn't get a Cybertron Jetfire in black, white and red.

Is it odd I'm hoping Chromia gets retooled into a Deluxe Elita-1? I mean, given that Elita-1 is a character in the show which doesn't appear in the original toyline it would make sense to add her to the show-specific subline. Plus I'm well aware many people didn't like the buff, combining, jet-based Elita-1 of POTP. Seems a deluxe of her would work better for the scale of the Siege and Earthrise stuff.

Elita could turn up as a Netflix sub line toy given she's in the show but it depends on her alt mode. Some people wouldn't be happy with Elita having Chromia's alt mode, so that could be the sticking point. How big was she in comparison to Optimus?

I'm really hoping for a new Elita-1 in this line but I don't think it would be a Chromia retool. If you watch the trailer, Chromia has the big backpack while Elita-1 has wing-like protrusions with a wheel inside each piece. They briefly show her legs, and I don't see any wheels. I wonder if she's a motorcycle like her movie version?

This subline has no retooling on the figures, and Bumblebee is not in it either even though he's in the trailer and even more popular thsn elita 1.
This is just rereleasing siege figures for those who want them but missed out while they were on the shelves originally.

And likely more dissapointment.

Just because he's in the trailer...can you imagine the fan reaction if they decide to rerelease CC Jetfire with a dirty repaint
