Courtesy of fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath, we now have the full pack-in comic for Unite Warriors Lynx Master, by Hayato Sakamoto. While not yet translated it tells the story of how Sky Lynx and his team came to be a combiner while involving past Unite Warriors releases. It also hints at a possible Unite Warriors Victorion in the future.

In addition, fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade has written up a rather comprehensive synopsis to give some clarity for non-Japanese-reading viewers.

Sabrblade wrote:Let's see, Cybertron gets blown up in the year 2011 during The Headmasters cartoon. Sky Lynx and the other four Autobots (with Ratchet somehow not dead, Wheeljack already got an explanation for his being alive) arriving to find the planet destroyed, much to their horror. They find Sunstreaker and Ironhide (who's also somehow alive again) in bad shape, as well as the shambled remains of Vector Sigma, who upgrades Sky Lynx and the other four who came with him into their UW bodies.

Ten years later, 2021, Cybertron's back in business but attacked by the recently-created Grand Galvatron. Marissa Faireborn and her daughter Sue bear witness to this alongside UW Ironhide. Trailbreaker puts up some resistance with his force field, which, from the looks of it, manages to detach Grand Galvatron's arms from his torso. Wheeljack uses the "Immobilizer V2" to disable Ghost Starscream. And Hound uses his holograms to trick Zombie War Breakdown into thinking Curse Armada Thrust is Medic Knock Out.

Down below, in the Oracle chamber first seen in Beast Machines, Ratchet works on either the dead Convoy or a new body for him (can't tell which) in front of the Oracle, within which lies Vector Sigma in its new Bw Eggbot redeco body that would have come with the Million Publishing Alpha Trion redeco of the Generations Scourge toy had that gotten released. Wandering Roller bursts in aiming to destroy Convoy, but Sky Lynx subdues him. The rest of Grand Galvatron's components burst in and are met by Sky Lynx's team.

Grand Galvatron and Lynx Master are formed and duke it out in the chamber. Lynx Master uses Hound's hologram fist to make multiples of himself, but Grand Galvatron overcomes this trick and blasts the real Lynx Master. As the battered Lynx Master lies on the ground at Grand Galvatron's mercy, he uses his Ratchet foot to heal his injuries and bites back at Grand Galvatron.

Elsewhere, five Decepticons stand in the shadow, all appearing to be the Victorion molds minus Rust Dust. According to this, their leader, the one based on Pyra Magna's mold, muses the following of the situation to the others: "As the wife of the Lord of Destruction, this cannot be ignored."

Now that's rather interesting. If TT releases an evil Victorion, I might have to pick her up.

=SKEPTICISM it might not

So I am left neutral if/until we see another silhouette from TF Yuki hopefully not long after Bruticus comes out

I'll take one evil Victorion in black, purple and teal(maybe yellow? What's a good third evil color?) please.

Silver or Gray typically goes well with Black & Purple. But conversely, I'd also like to see Black/Red/Gold (think Black Zarak) if they could somehow avoid GPS.

But that would be interesting to see five Decepticon females, as opposed to the several already established female Autobots.

Wow, now that they have the 'standard' combiners out of the way, they're really going nuts with this.
And I like it. ;)^

They've been able to avoid GPS for like, 15 years straight now

First off- Shajaki & Co. etc. did A WONDERFUL JOB putting this together..
;)^ ;)^

- Now looking at the comparison's My man SWINDLE- Purple Hood is more G1 blah, blah, outside of that; Which I Never Liked anyway, Hasbro killed it here. Not that Takara version is bad, the figure period is EXCELLENT! I'll argue SWINDLE Hasbro is BEST Deluxe Bot/figure Ever. Its Solid, Award needed!

Plus SWINDLE is the Best part of UTILITARIAN regardless.

- BLASTOFF definitely goes to Takara it looks so much better in Gestalt (Where he will stay).

- VORTEX is A Toss-up because in bot mode Takara win's easily, but in Alt. mode definitely goes to Hasbro; thus It looks better in Gestalt. So Hasbro wins 2 out of 3, but still 50/50.

- BRAWL is another SOLID Deluxe figure, an as much as like the Black legs- That Takara Head is to much! Thus, winner here is Hasbro.

- ONSLAUGHT is another tough one. Although Hasbro is more G1 Accurate something about them color's make him look cheap in bot mode. And although Takara's also look's better in Gestalt; I can't forgive how stupid the Takara Alt. mode looks! Winner again goes too Hasbro.

So as much as I Love Bruticus and Hasbro as of late (even though I still have yet to see VORTEX in any phucking store// I live in A major Metropolitan area); I think the Make Toys version from almost A decade back is more of A proper, contemporary UTILITARIAN. That version gives BRUTICUS his UTILITARIAN moniker/nickname with gusto. If ya want to do that with the Combiner Wars model(s) you need to mix & match. And IMO it's still alittle.

____________________________________________

That's my bottom line besides THE FACT that The 1987 G1 FEET LOOK BETTER than this standard CW sht!!! Ya know, WtF who said "Yea, Yea, Let's go with these as Feet/shoes they can be double purposed as Particle Quad-cannon's. PHUCKING SO STUPID! You have to buy the upgrade kit, otherwise they All Look just trashy! In 2016 that's very Disappointing!

Wow, a 5 female Decepticon combiner is very intriguing. Takara can use all 5 new heads, and likely get a better color scheme. I WANT!!! The only potential drawback for me is actually the comic. It seems like the new combiner comic would be extension of the sky lynx one as opposed to those hilarious ones that come with the Legends line, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

"As the wife of the Lord of Destruction, this cannot be ignored."
Calling it now, "Pyra Magna" is gonna be Esmeral, wife of Deathsaurus
and if Dustup doesn't become Nightbird i'll eat my hat.
i could see the helicopter twins being turned into Airachnid, Bayonette, or Swift
Jumpstream could become Nightracer, Crash Test, or Shadow Striker

Well, if it's 5 Decepticon ladies, chances are that Dustup's gonna be redecoed into Nightbird. The head mold almost seems pre-tooled for it. The other four, I couldn't fathom a guess.

Hmm. That could work, in a way? Go with that I would predict:

Pyra Magna = Esmeral (Are there any color images of Esmeral?)
Stormclash/Skyburst = Blackarachnia/Airachnid
Dustup = Nightbird
Jumpstream = Evil Arcee or maybe Flamewar? Does Flamewar have ANY presence in the Japanese TF Fandom?

And all of those would have a deep violet color to unify the color sceme pretty well.

They won't be retooled at all judging from the comic. Best thing is they'll have a new deco but that's it.

So on the speculation of this being Esmeral...

Image Image

Can't say I see the resemblance. Like, at all.
I mean it'd be cool if instead of generic teary-eyed waif they made her a burly built badass, but I'm not entirely confident that's gonna be the case.

Yeah I second that. The whole idea is that Takara would be using the already existing tooling to release it in japan.

Preorders arent relevant for Skyreign though, its more for Bruticus and Computron. Most people will be getting Skylynx distributed outside of japan, so not handled by Takara.

Unless Hasbo Asia gives all its info to Takara. I am really curious about their relationship.

Sorry, like I said I was tired ;) . But I knew some preorders had some relevancy, and I am extremely interested in the relationship as well. In fact I have often been interested in the relationship between Hasbro USA & TT. Basically the same toys (I assume manufactured in some of the same locations?) but yet so different. I envision a world where the whole world gets one release of a specific toy, but I guess that's not practical. Everything from food, to media, to toys, to laundry soap is regionalized. Often it creates some neat results, but sometimes it is a pain, and causes unnecessary divisions.

You had valid points and I may be wrong. I just find that an exclusive and limited item in japan wouldnt be as weary about preorders due to its lower stock and availability at only one place.

And yes, they are made at the same factories :)

So we more or less know who the torso is going to be (Esmeral, probably) but as for the limbs...hmm. Airachnid from a copter would be cool. Someone on 4chan suggested the other copter might be a "Lady Deathcobra" (Murderboa? Slaymamba?) which would be awesome. As for the other two, someone suggested Lyzack, and I reckon Scylla could be on the cards. Also, how about Mayumi, the proposed but ultimately scrapped female Destron whatevermaster from Masterforce?

Why is everyone talking with such certainty as if it is Esmeral? I mean, maybe it is, it's certainly not off the cards; but there's nothing to say it definitely is. She's the 'wife of the emperor of destruction'. Alright, that has been attributed to Esmeral. Why can't it be attributed to just about anyone else? The mold just does not match up to Esmeral at all and there's just nothing to say it's definitely this one character that was in one scene in one obscure version of one obscure Transformers anime, said scene not even taking place at all in the Cartoon continuity which, given Grand Galvatron's comic, seems to be the continuity it's following.
It's not impossible that it's Esmeral but I don't see why people are talking about it with such certainty.

Well, they were very specific about the wording, so, I'd say it's likely...

Well, unless someone else is labelled as 'The Emperor of Destruction' and took a wife, I'd say it's a solid hint; but speaking of it as a definite is certainly not proper; but, I feel say working with that as is

Whilst I can't speak for the manga, the Victory anime is one of the most beloved incarnations of Transformers in Japan. Far from obscure, that's for certain. Also Takara loves obscure and batsh*t insane references to Transformers canon.

'Emperor of Destruction' is attributed to, like... every Decepticon leader now, especially these days. And if you want to establish a female Decepticon as being in a high position and as being very powerful, saying they're married to Megatron, Galvatron, Scorponok etc. is not the worst start.

But that's just it... no other fembot has been established as a 'wife' to an 'emperor'... so that seems extremely specific to me - unless they're making this someone new and tacking that on, but somehow, I don't think they are.

Just trying to be the voice of reason here. All the guesses I've seen early on, based on my own research seem to be pretty solid (never knew Deathsaurus had a wife, even though I've watched the anime several times, I've never read the manga...ya learn something new every day), do any other Decepticon leaders have established wives? So were I a betting man...I would definitely not bet against the guesses I've read here...still all that being said, until we get it from an official source, I just like to keep it in the realm of possibility, and not use words like "fact" and "since we know"... ;)

Easy, TF toys were made in china until 2015, where the started manufacturing them all in vietnam instead. But wherever Hasbro toys were made the takara couterparts were made in the same factory. They will be moving to india in the next 5 years.

But that's just it... no other fembot has been established as a 'wife' to an 'emperor'... so that seems extremely specific to me - unless they're making this someone new and tacking that on, but somehow, I don't think they are.

I feel it could be someone new or even a pre-existing female Decepticon who has been given this title. IDK, it just seems... weird that this could be Esmeral. It's mostly the whole body thing; given what little we know about her, Pyra Magna's body structure is the exact opposite of Esmeral.
And I mean okay, you can probably say "the mold doesn't seem that right" for a lot of characters. I don't think there were a lot of people who bought Combiner Wars Offroad, looked at him, and thought "You know what? He'll eventually make a decent Ratchet". But at least in that case, those two do share a similar size, a similar body structure, and turn into at least somewhat similar alt-modes.
Esmeral is a tiny, dainty, possible deluxe-sized character who appears to turn into what is presumably the female of whatever the hell species Deathsaurus turns into. Pyra Magna is a tall, bulky, imposing, voyager-sized badass who turns into a Fire Truck. There's... there's some things that are really hard to reconcile between that mold and Esmeral. In terms of unfitting molds for Deathsaurus' Waifu that's right up there with Transmetal Rattrap and Generations Roadbuster.

Yeah, I get that, but I thought the faces actually matched up pretty well when I first saw them, plus this would be her first figure - probably her only one at that, so, it would be a nice figure to get...

I guess, but if that is true, then it's not the best representation of her...
...
Who am I kidding, she had no character to begin with. Giving her this body frame is a great restart point.

Yup, it's servicable; but something I thought of was, their galvatronus refers to himself when not combined doesn't he? maybe the fembots were referring to their combined mode too... just a thought

Aaaah yeah, there's a point.
I mean, Victorion still doesn't exactly resemble Esmeral in any way... but it's still a point. I am liking the Galvatronus/Thunder Mayhem approach to combiners. Not as an overall thing that should always be done, but as a nice, unique standout thing that brings something new to the idea of combiners.

Hm...marriage of gestalts. That's gotta be awkward for the individuals.

I imagine separating from Gestalt mode after marriage would be very akin to waking up sober the next morning from a drunk wedding.

I haven't seen this being commented on much, but Lynx Master is presenting a first: using the special abilities of his limbs in combined mode (Trailbreaker's force field, Ratchet's rapid fixing). I haven't seen that anywhere in fiction, the closest was the description of what each limb did for the Japanese Super Scrambles.
