o.supreme wrote:Sorry, like I said I was tired . But I knew some preorders had some relevancy, and I am extremely interested in the relationship as well. In fact I have often been interested in the relationship between Hasbro USA & TT. Basically the same toys (I assume manufactured in some of the same locations?) but yet so different. I envision a world where the whole world gets one release of a specific toy, but I guess that's not practical. Everything from food, to media, to toys, to laundry soap is regionalized. Often it creates some neat results, but sometimes it is a pain, and causes unnecessary divisions.

Of course now I am going to expose my laziness. because I am at work, and cant physically check my toys, I always assumed all Hasbro & TT Transformers were manufactured someplace in Hong Kong? But I very specifically remember my UW-EX Grand Scourge saying "Made in Vietnam" which I thought was odd, which is probably why I remembered it.
Unless "Made in Vietnam" is just a distribution point? Like how Japan is for TT & Pawtucket RI is for U.S. Hasbro toys?

Nothing is a fact at this point, just educated guesses
Kurona wrote:Why is everyone talking with such certainty as if it is Esmeral? I mean, maybe it is, it's certainly not off the cards; but there's nothing to say it definitely is. She's the 'wife of the emperor of destruction'. Alright, that has been attributed to Esmeral. Why can't it be attributed to just about anyone else? The mold just does not match up to Esmeral at all and there's just nothing to say it's definitely this one character that was in one scene in one obscure version of one obscure Transformers anime, said scene not even taking place at all in the Cartoon continuity which, given Grand Galvatron's comic, seems to be the continuity it's following.
It's not impossible that it's Esmeral but I don't see why people are talking about it with such certainty.

Nope, the cw versions are made in vietnam - in the same factories probably, just using different plastics/colors.o.supreme wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:Now that is interesting Takara, but I'm now curious about something, the fact that they're are using Esmeral does that mean they have thought about hasbro liokaiser?

Well, they were very specific about the wording, so, I'd say it's likely...Kurona wrote:Why is everyone talking with such certainty as if it is Esmeral? Well, unless someone else is labelled as 'The Emperor of Destruction' and took a wife, I'd say it's a solid hint; but speaking of it as a definite is certainly not proper; but, I feel say working with that as is

But that's just it... no other fembot has been established as a 'wife' to an 'emperor'... so that seems extremely specific to me - unless they're making this someone new and tacking that on, but somehow, I don't think they are.

I feel it could be someone new or even a pre-existing female Decepticon who has been given this title. IDK, it just seems... weird that this could be Esmeral. It's mostly the whole body thing; given what little we know about her, Pyra Magna's body structure is the exact opposite of Esmeral.
And I mean okay, you can probably say "the mold doesn't seem that right" for a lot of characters. I don't think there were a lot of people who bought Combiner Wars Offroad, looked at him, and thought "You know what? He'll eventually make a decent Ratchet". But at least in that case, those two do share a similar size, a similar body structure, and turn into at least somewhat similar alt-modes.
Esmeral is a tiny, dainty, possible deluxe-sized character who appears to turn into what is presumably the female of whatever the hell species Deathsaurus turns into. Pyra Magna is a tall, bulky, imposing, voyager-sized badass who turns into a Fire Truck. There's... there's some things that are really hard to reconcile between that mold and Esmeral.

Yeah, I get that, but I thought the faces actually matched up pretty well when I first saw them, plus this would be her first figure - probably her only one at that, so, it would be a nice figure to get...

I guess, but if that is true, then it's not the best representation of her...
...
Who am I kidding, she had no character to begin with. Giving her this body frame is a great restart point.

Yup, it's servicable; but something I thought of was, their galvatronus refers to himself when not combined doesn't he? maybe the fembots were referring to their combined mode too... just a thought
