Counterpunch found these at a Walmart in Luling, LA. Chances are they may already be, or have been, in your local stores now as well!
If you see new toys at retail in your country that you don't think our news crew has front-paged a sighting of yet, be sure to let us know here. If you see these toys locally be sure to let your fellow collectors know in your local Sightings Thread, or utilize our Sightings Resource page.

Beastbox is the one I want most of all as well. I love little gorrila formers. Do you know of Gora? He's fun too.

I've heard of him and seen him in pictures, but I've haven't delved into the arms micron bots yet.
The only "gorilla bot" I own is High Score 100.
Magnus has recently developed a bit of a game addiction with him.

I am so thankful to Hasbro to have made it that we do not need the little guys which come with the deployers to build those extra energon figures. Like that we can get everything we want without needing to get the deployers

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same camp. I want to buy one just to check out the line. I'm normally a sucker for minicons, but these are sorely lacking in the 5mm department, which is a bummer, if you ask me.

If you're into the line you should check out at least one. They're pretty neat and have some great molded details.D-Maximus_Prime wrote:RAcast wrote:D-Maximus_Prime wrote:I will not get the deployers, but I do want to get one of these little guys. they're pretty cool

They would have at least made cool little shields for all the melee weapon wielding Warriors.

Very true. While it would have been cool, I see what they were going for. not fully executed well but still a neat gimmick nonetheless

This pic does show the upcomng tav 21 retool with the ability to peg a minicon as some sort of shield.

Automated refund system did its thing. Result: they don't even want the incorrect toy back. Probably more expensive to pay for the return shipping label on their end, so that makes sense.
Figured I'd throw that out as a cautionary tale.

Everywhere I go has at least one figure left, and they put them on clearance for $0.04 less than retail, so they can't leave.

From the data I've seen in here, it seems like wave 1 is at Target, and wave 2 is at Walmart. I dunno, it could be nothing.

They really do hold! I was quite surprised myself. The chest plate still drags very slightly, but the shoulders hold somehow

Also found both deployers and wave 1 and 2 minicons. didn't pick any up but they were there
I am SOOOOOOOO Happy for you Maximus !
I am quite jealous that my sideswipe's shoulders dont tab in properly but that doestn take anything awayfrom my happiness that a fan out there can appreciate this mold to it's fullest. I too found his deco good and you can tell that this deco (and amount fo paint apps) was approved by Takara to pass off as a takara product. Its pretty cool actually. Technically, what you are holding in your hands is a Takara product (as well as a Hasbro one, obviously) as it is distributed by them in Japan and Japanese kids will find the very same toy in their TRU stores with the Takara label proudly marked on the box.
This also happens to be a super faithful representation of the character, as you can see below:
And yeah, I am glad there is one more fan out there. You know, if his shoulders properly locked in for everyone and he had enough ground clearance to roll, this would probably be my favourite toy of the year simply because of its ingenious transformation. I am always amazed when Takara finds a smart way of getting pretty close to the cartoon model with the limitations they might have.He has phenominal alt mode integration, looks lean and dynamic, has a bunch of new robot detail without the cost of extraneous kibble, really cool weapon storage in robot mode, a ball jointed head, and very distinctive hands for a toy who's hands are glued to car kibble. Usually, I marvel at a specific part of a transformation but in his case, it was both the feet and the shoulder armour made from the wheelwells. Oh and his alt mode looks so damn good.
Just meant to say that I am glad you like him and can appreciate him to his utmost potential.

Funny Story: the CotT guys were $14.99 and the regular guys were $16.99, so he was cheaper than the regulars and he was Takara!

Question, can we get some pictures of the tabs? I'd be interested in comparing yours to the first ones, to see if there was a running change. Anybody else interested?
It seems unusual that yours would suddenly hold when literally every other copy of that mold (that I'm aware of) is a floppy mess, due to poor design.

I cannot upload pics. However, I can tell you that with me pressing firmly on the fenders and chest plate at the same time, it seems to have locked his arms in very securely

I had already preordered TAV 21 before seeing that this guy would be out and TAV 21 doesnt have this ability. While I think I would have still chosen TAV 21 due to it's deco, I would have much preferred knowing what my options were before preordering. This guy adds a whole level of playability to the minicons.
Posted by Cobotron on August 14th, 2015 @ 6:33pm CDT
Ya, that is always annoying, to say the least. We talked about this, but I'll be really glad for the new deco, just because it will be something different from the 37 other Primes I have. Plus this added play feature really seals the deal for me. I still think TAV 21 looks fantastic. How are you liking him?william-james88 wrote: I would have much preferred knowing what my options were before preordering. This guy adds a whole level of playability to the minicons.

So they could have happily called the other one Red Alert - heck even 'Red Alert Sideswipe' would have helped.
I know why they do it but it still frustrates me.

Because silly themed repaints dont make money...especially kiddie simplified molds. The shelves are warm enough already. They dont need insulation too.

Also, Cobotron, would your argument for capitalism still work if this is a new mold? Because thats what this seems to be.
