Thanks to Seibertron member s3n3ch, we now learn that Transformers will be rated 'G' for general audiences in Quebec. Note that it is not uncommon for films to receive a lighter rating in Canada than in the US, and it seems that Transformers is no exception.

Slightly more superior.
Just means if you're 15 & under you should ask your parents if it's okay to see it.

I think is because Canada is more « relaxed » in regards to certain things. I believe the rating system in the US says that if the F-word is used in a film, it automatically jumps to at least PG-13 (or 14A or something like that).
Whereas in Canada, we can say « sh*t » on TV and it doesn't even get bleeped out!

G not recommended for children? here in the US movies that are rated G are mostly film for children. canada's got some really interesting way of rating movies.

What applies for Quebec doesn't necessarily apply for the rest of the country.

as for canada as a whole, as i mentioned i'm in ontario and i have to say over here we always have the same ratings as the americans. although a couple of years ago they banished our R rating and created something called 18A.....cuz you see before that in canada R meant you had to be 18 or older to get in, period....in the states R just means you need someone 18 or older with you, kids can still see R rated movies. we didnt have that but now this 18A rating is the equivalent of america's R.
i first noticed this with Freddy Vs Jason, i went to see it and saw this couple with a son who was no older than 5...i was a little shocked like "how the hell did they get in..are they in the wrong theater?" lol ...but i looked it up after and discovered our new rating system. now where the hell was that when i was under 18? so many good R movies i had to wait for video for during the 80s and early 90s...life isnt fair
