1) Can you please tell me when we will be getting older Revenge of the Fallen figures such as Voyager Long Haul? He was released in the States many months ago but hasn't shown up here anywhere.
2) When will Power Core Combiners be available here?
3) When will Leader Class Starscream be released here?
4) When will the Generations line be released in the UK?
5) When will newer Movie figures such as Voyager Mindwipe be released here?
The reply from Hasbro came the same day:
I am happy to confirm that the Transformers Power Core Combiners, Generations range and Leader Class Starscream are all due for release in our autumn/winter range. We would advise that you contact us again at the end of the summer when we will hopefully be able to provide you with specific release dates/ stockist information.
Unfortunately we have no information currently on file with regards to the release of Voyager Long Haul and Voyager Mindwipe in the UK, leaving us unable to satisfy your request.
This further cements the news that the NEST line in the UK and Europe will be missing the Voyager range.

The only time I've seen him before is in Forbidden Planet in Leeds (which usually imports new stuff) last year...after that; nothing. :/
However I have seen NEST figures in various places...But only Deluxe figures.
The only HFTD figure I've seen is Battle Ops Bumblebee (though again it was the same Forbidden Planet, so may be another import).

Hasbro has a chaotic and unpredictable distribution here. Last week I have found Rotf Thrust and Gears together with a re-stock of deluxe Skids and Chromia and Legends Springer and Jetfire. I have seen neither leader Jetfire, voyager Long Haul and Grindor, nor the NEST line. In the end I get them from BBTS.
Every year, because of Hasbro Italy inefficiency, one half of my tf budget partly vanishes in gasoline to find them, and partly in shipping cost when I surrender and get them from USA.
I have seen the war for cybertron line but it was in a videogames store, I believe an import.
The European line must be called HUNT FOR THE TRANSFORMERS!!!

Ive only seen the delux lockdown/brawn/ravage delux case in 1 tesco and only got those for my friend as i opened a box which was on top of a shelf and took the ones that were in there as I saw the employee look in the box then stash it on a different shelf down the isle.
Posted by Lockdown91 on July 1st, 2010 @ 4:45pm CDT
everywhere just has:
leaders- prime, megatron, jetfire
voyagers- mixmaster, megatron, ratchet, the fallen
deluxe- jolt, soundwave, bumblebee, the twins, ravage, blazemaster, wheelie, the bike twins
and then there's various boxes, soundwave & bumblebee, whirl & bludgeon.
in my local tesco they have a few packed boxes on top of the shelves that say 'transformers voyager assortment' and 'transformers deluxe assortment' or something, and they had one box open on the floor with lockdown/brawn/strike mission sideswipe/ratchet, but ive been back and theyve still not opened those other boxes, im hoping that in those boxes there'd be mindwipe, recon ironhide, bludgeon and the rest but im doubting it now :/
i saw in home bargains they have the superion set for £15, and i think some others but i didnt get a good look as i was in a rush that day. sorry for the long post!

hmm yeah, thats what i did when i got sideswipe, brawn and lockdown, there was one box on the floor so i opened it and got those three, but the other boxes are right on top of the shelves and no ones ever around for me to ask if they'll get them down. When i last went (a couple of weeks ago) they had about 5 voyagers left, and I suppose that when they've gone then they'll probably open up one of the newer boxes. I just hope that if they do then it won't just be the same ones again.
Hasbro replied saying that the HFTD line will be released for their autumn/winter time so i'm also hoping that argos's new summer catalogue will have NEST figures, especially voyagers, and then the autumn/winter catalogue will have HFTD stuff!

Does NEST include Mindwipe?

Does NEST include Mindwipe?
Hmm i thought mindwipe was part of the NEST line, and that's why he's nowhere to be found, Or has the UK simply not received any new voyager waves since wave 3.
I just checked on tf-wiki and it says that bludgeon and recon ironhhide were wave 6 and and that mindwipe was wave 7, so if thats right then mindwipe must be in the NEST line as he came after bludgeopn and ironhide.

The new stock is on our shores but has not hit "mainstream" shlves yet. What voyagers we'll see next are anyones guess.
As an aside, when ROTF toys came out, my TRU suddenly got a selection of 2007, Wave 5 Voyagers, all in US/English language boxes.
To my knowledgde, they hadn't been released here, god knows where they got them from...

With reference to the comments you made with regards to the range, these have been noted and will be forwarded to our Marketing Department. We would like to thank you once again for taking the time to write to us as we welcome our customers' comments and suggestions, as they are invaluable for future improvements. However we can confirm that our ranges change country to country and this can include both the products that we release and the dates that we release them.

Well that explains it all! Brilliant. All clear for you guys?
Mykltron wrote:Thank you for your reply, but it doesn't even attempt to answer my question. Can you please explain WHY Europe gets Transformers *so much later* than the US? It's not as if shipping them takes a long time like it did 500 hundred years ago. We got the first wave of Revenge Of The Fallen toys at the same time as everywhere else but then later releases in that line have *still* not shown up here. Why is this? It's ridiculous and we, the British Transformers collectors, are *very* frustrated by it. Please explain why we have to wait so long.
Posted by Pretender Skywarp on July 5th, 2010 @ 10:49am CDT
I fall into a couple of categories; both dissapointed fan and angry parent of an upset kid. The internet has made the world a smaller place. Hasbro have to accept that we know these toys exist and wish to purchase them.
Posted by Lockdown91 on July 5th, 2010 @ 12:35pm CDT
and it's not like they don't even advertise the NEST line either, with each of my NEST deluxes came a poster thing and on both sides of it were advertisements for all of the NEST line, dirge, mindwipe, recon ironhide, bludgeon the lot, and i can't remember, but somewhere on it it probably says something along the lines of "collect them all" and i fail to see how we collectors, or even kids, can collect them and buy them if they don't even sell half of them over here!
Mykltron wrote:It's not as if shipping them takes a long time like it did 500 hundred years ago. We got the first wave of Revenge Of The Fallen toys at the same time as everywhere else but then later releases in that line have *still* not shown up here.
Exactly, they shipped out the deluxes, but not the voyagers it doesn't make sense why they would do that.
Also, i re-checked my tesco today and they have the same 3 voyagers left, but interestingly they must of had extra NEST deluxes because there was the lockdown, brawn and ratchet set there again, but all of the boxes ontop of the shelves that said transformers voyager and leaders have all gone, theyve not been put out, theyve just been taken from atop the shelf and theyre just gone :S

but it looks like the only way we'll get any of the NEST voyager molds is through the HFTD line, as long as they actually get released here, i just hope they don't skip half of the line like they have with the NEST voyagers
but we know there will be a voyager bludgeon redeco (banzaitron), a long haul redeco (payload), and now a recon ironhide redeco (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... led/19147/) so theres three new molds that hopefully come to england finally, only one left would be mindwipe, interestingly i saw skystalker in my local asda :S so theyve released the scout partner of mindwipe but not mindwipe himself, hasbro UK sucks!
also on a side note, i know that some of the NEST deluxes have been seen, lockdown, strike mission sideswipe, deluxe ratchet and brawn, but has anyone seen the red rampage or evac about? have they been released here?

Hah, true, but TRU regularly import US TRU exclusives (same with Star Wars line as well) because I've seen many figures and sets in TRU that I never see anywhere else. Obviously the international TRU bases are closer to each other than the Hasbro bases! (Same for Forbidden Planet and Entertainer, actually, but I suspect they import from the source, buying stock-loads!)
(By the way, Ravage XK; Maidstone? I know someone who lives there! )
EDIT: Grimlock in the UK? Already seen him in the London Forbidden Planet and I'm sure I've seen him in a TRU as well!

The state of Transformers distribution in the UK is very poor, we get incomplete lines, and missing waves. It is often easier for UK fans to import the equivalent Takara product or US sourced items form Ebay sellers. Often at a similar price to the RRP.
Why is the UK market treated so poorly?

Pretty much a word-for-word cut and paste of what they sent to Mykltron a few emails ago. To say that I am fuming about being treated with such contempt by a company that I am TRYING TO GIVE MY MONEY TO IN A RECESSION, is a fudging understatement
They have not attemtpted to enagage the consumer in any reasonable dialogue and have blatantly put this issue in the "too difficult" box.
You don't want anything to do with me Hasbro UK, well guess what? The feelings mutual. Takara, Ebay sellers and UK-based importers will be seeing most of my businees from now on. I will avoid you wherever possible[-(

its cheaper to have the same posters put in the packaging in china/vietnam than to create whole new ones for a subline ina different market.
Some tiems its easier just to use people like 3darths and kapow toys to fill the gaps.
I appreciate the problem, I still have gaps in some of my lines and i got a rather large collection for a UK collector.

My local TRU has had the same ROTF stuff sitting on the shelves for about 6mths, no joke.
They even recently re-stocked on Wave 1 Animated voyagers
I don't collect Aniamted or movie-verse, bar a few key exclusives, but do have my finger on the pulse enough to know what is what. Thank god for importers.

Maybe no-one's ever explained to the managers of UK toyshops (and in particular TRU), how you get different figures in different waves, it seems to me that the early waves sell well so they order more, not realising that if they just waited a bit for the later waves they'd get repeat customers.
Slightly off topic, Drift is awesome!!!

I was fortunate enough to get a pre-order in with "Toyz & Gamez" for the whole of wave 1, saving me a lot of fuel in pointless hunting trips!
Out of interest how much were they charging?
