Is the UK finally catching up? Unlikely, as the entire wave 2 (Stunticons and Air Raid) have yet to see the light of these grey shores. Make sure to flag up any sighting for these or other figures in the appropriate section and forums!

Well, Frenzy and Rumble are motorcycles in the comics now. They look more like Hasbro's Legends-class Groove than Takara's deluxe-class Groove, though.

If I had my way, they would simply mold Soundwave with an opening chest... and make G1 size cassettes that go inside. Limbs could be other characters... seekers, etc.
Not sure what vehicles the limbs could be that I'd be happy with. While I guess the tanks we got were probably the best option, they still didn't quite sit right with me.
Pondering....

I think this is most likely what'll happen, but as well as that I wouldn't mind a repaint/retool of Leader Megatron based on that Galvatron design.

Those wouldnt serve as limbs of course, so I dont know what would happen. There is also the notion that the wheels along his chest section mean show that this isn't really the same mold and maybe just the artist inspiring himself. After all he does still transform into the same body he had before:

The Hot spot mold's chest, yes, but not the Optimus/Motormaster mold.gothsaurus wrote:Thanks for reminding me... yeah, guessing you're right with the twins being motorcycles. That would make them too small for limbs... but they'll attach at the chest, likely.

I'm holding out on the Protectobots so far, as I am not huge fan of buying repaints/remolds, So I am waiting to see if the 3 unique molds for Defensor (Hotspot, Rook, Groove) will all show up in future eventual releases like the Combaticons or Technobots.

Devastator's toy came out in 1985.

I think it will be the Prime/Motormaster mold that will be remolded as Soundwave. I am just wondering why Soundwave would have a truck mode...

Just take Ravage for example. Cat mode, bot mode, limb mode. Cat mode obviously based on his G1 self. Bot mode based on his various BW and Alternators versions: cat head becomes the robot head like his TM(and TMII fan mode) version with the easy retool, or even alternate transformation, to be chest with proper robot mode head like Shadow Panther. And with that, easy repaints/retools would include G1 Rampage, BW Cheetor, BW Tigatron, and more.
Laserbeak and Buzzsaw could easily be made into Divebomb/Airazor repaints since they've never had robot modes, except for their BotCon and GDO figures. Heck, they might even be able to remold them into Swoop and Terrorsaur.
Rumble and Frenzy, they could probably figure out some alt mode to give them that makes sense and could also be repurposed into even more repaints and retools.

Well, there were no casette players on cybertron, so he must have been some ind of vehicle. And thats what the video games did and that idea carried on in the IDW comics.

I was talking it over with my good shabudi, and we both agreed that Combiner Wars Legends class Huffer ROXX!
Sure I love the old Huff, with his orange hoodie and exhaust pipe arms. He was always one of my favorite minis, and always will be. Thats why I think it's so cool that he got this super sleek new update. He just looks so bad arse wearing this skin. I know, it's IDW's Prime, but that really means nothing to me, personaly. I am digging all these Legends redo's of the classic minis and The Huff takes the cake.
Who woulda thunk a simple repaint could hit my awesome button better than it's intended purpose?
And if that's not enough to flip you G1 purists on your ear.
I feel the exact same about War Path.

Damn you Sabr, you make me loo like the world's biggest amateur. First Sharpnel, then the two takara Rodimi (no wonder they both looked so good!) and now this!
Although to be fair, that is just Soundwave's car mode transformed into a mishapen boombox

Yes. Huffer is Huff-Tastic!
That Prime coat looks great on Huff. And I also don't immediately think "Prime" when looking at that mold anymore. If they really wanted to represent IDW Prime, they'd give him a proper Voyager mold.
Honestly, I'd even go as far to say Huffer feels like like a "premium" type figure. GDO'ish if you will. But maybe I'm crazy. I've said it somewhere else, but I'll reiterate it again here: I never thought I'd replace Rager (even when I saw Legends Huffer), but here I am.
Now I'm totally looking forward to Warpath, even with that perfect Generations Deluxe already on my shelf.

Yeah but he was more of a military vehicle, not a truck cab. Has Soundwave ever had a trailer? Because this kind of truck pulls a trailer, even though the toy doesn't have one.

They thought the video would be a good excuse to bring back Shockwave's G1 voice actor, Corey Burton. Honestly, he's the only Shockwave voice I'll ever need.

I think you may be dangerously close on this guess. It's not like we haven't seen deluxe cassettes or bigger with different altmodes in the past.
It would be a "great" way to get some pre-tools out there.
Where's the head-spinning emoticon?

I would love to see this design materialize, this would be a bad A@$ version of Soundwave. Thirty plus years and the best alternate design for Soundwave has been a satellite. I think a heavy duty armored military truck would be a great design especially if they could incorporate drones and motorcycles that attach (Laserbeak, Rumble).

The supposed Technobot Afterburner remolded as the pair so they can be limbs. Maybe Lazerbeak/Buzzsaw at chest pieces to emulate Prime Soundwave. Eh?

Just don't want the CW repurposed toys in 2016 to be so dominating. that no CW toys for CW Abonimus, CW Predaking and CW Seacons get made.
Wouldn't mind seeing CW toys made for the G1 Dinobots. with Four deluxes limbs bots and One Voyager class Grimlock toy.

Somebody else said something like this, but I'll reiterate it, (Was it you prjkt?), and along the same lines as what shajaki just said. If we get Computron, we get Afterburner, who could be Frenzy an Rumble. Heck they don't HAVE to share an alt mode. One of them could be Lightspeed.
Than Abominus...
You got Cutthroat. There's Lazerbeak.
Sinnertwin is real cat like. There's Ravage.
I still like the idea too, that next years Titan might be Predaking.

From TRU twitter feed
Victorion's power will be "gravity" based. And her main rival would be Galvatronous (?)
Next year?!?! I thought that she would be a late 2015 release?
They always stated it would be REVEALED this year. It was never said it would come out.
Doh!
Though I guess that's good news for my wallet.
Next year toys start trickling out late this year so something coming early 2016 might just pop up around the holidays.
