Nice! Snagged 2 of each. After credit card points and gift card credit, it was just 14.99!

Just think, one combiner made up of a Leader with two scouts (chest & Targetmaster) four limbs each with 4 PCC style weapons/minicons. Hell, lets throw in a headmaster minicon too.
There is no end to the possible combinations.
Just so we're clear on the rundown here, we've got...
A Scramble-style 5-man combiner.
A Targetmaster.
A Breastmaster/Powermaster element.
Four PCC-style combiners.
A Headmaster.
Minicons.
Okay, but we still need an Actionmaster element...somehow. And what subtypes of Transformers are we missing?
I do have one actually on-topic question. I know none of the Aerialbots do, but do any of the other Deluxe molds have pegholes on both feet, such that they could hold the Foothandguns, one on each limb?
Action masters are not a problem, you just have to give your combiner a transforming base/vehicle to roll around in while in robot mode.
That's F'n awesome. No pretender shell though? Maybe that will come with the transforming base.
And it turns out that entire combiner we've created is a mere limb for a larger combiner.

I have the points I earn from my bank credit cards linked to Amazon. I don't often buy toys from Amazon, but when I do, I come prepared with points!

I think I had them in my cart at one point. Wildrider Whoops, Brakeneck - said 19 left. Never entered my cart, though. Always showed empty. Now show unavailable. *sigh* Hoping on BBTS anyway.... And I do have the Takara sets on pre-order, just in case....

Yeah, I'm not too worried. Yet. Might have been a mistake anyway and won't be available on Amazon until then...

There was a post explaining events in May I think. It's not easy searching from my phone. I remember several online outlets and I thought I saw some brick and mortar as well.

Yeah you are. It probably has to do with the fact they're repaints and might sit for awhile, and/or they know the other figures will sit and have to cover the cost of the cases. Probably why Robot Kingdom hasn't broken the cases up for Warrior Jazz and Sideswipe, and Legion Fix-it and Underbite. Either way neither figure is worth that much ESPECIALLY since BBTS hasn't gotten a release date right all year.
as far as I'm aware, RK doesn't break up the waves, it's all or nothing (unless one of the figures was from a previous wave, ie Silverbolt & Motormaster making up W2)
They broke up the Wave 1 RID figures, all of the CW Legends, Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leader class figures. This was the first time I've seen them not breaking up a case since I started buying from them.
I was only ever able to buy an entire wave from RK for any of the CW figures (except for Motormaster as I mentioned) - only W3 legends varied, as you could buy Groove & Viper, or Groove, Viper & Warpath (as Warpath was short-packed) - every other release I've ordered from them has been the entire wave (not case mind you, just 1ea per wave) - which is fine by me, as I wanted the lot, the only single figures I've got from them are 3P or older releases they've got floating about their warehouse.
Ya know what when I said broke up the wave I meant they sold a complete wave separate from the case. IE all 4 wave 1 RID Warrior figures as a set. You are correct in saying they don't sell individual figures usually. That's why I was surprised that Jazz and Sideswipe aren't being sold as a set.
On another note I fully expect to see 3rd party sellers pop up with Breakneck and Quickslinger at a premium.

They will be available online for those two stores.

Every time someone misspells Brake-Neck, a puppy dies. And they also make it harder to search for news and information on the products when there are at least 3 different incorrect spellings going around.
Anyway, glad to see these guys are making it out. I'll get them eventually, but I'm in no great rush. I haven't even technically got a complete Superion yet, as I'm missing Firefly. Drag Strip is filling in.

Unfortunately, I doubt takera have created a brand new mold, and looking at this silhouette that could just be legends groove attached to which ever limb bot being used as the leg.
I'd love to be wrong on this, but I just don't see Takera creating a brandnew mold just for this.

My theory: It is a new mold, but a pre-planned one for Afterburner that has parts for Groove built in. It pays to be prepared for this line, especially for 2 years worth of figures.
As I explained in the Unite Warriors thread, it can't be Legends Class Groove, as Unite Warriors does not accomodate Legends Class figures like Powerglide and Blackjack: they're relocated to Transformers Adventure, with new identities at times.

Not a new mold but a retool. Look at Superion and Menasor as examples.

Retool of who? If its not of a pre-existing figure, then it is a new mold.

A pre-existing/ soon to be released figure. Again, I present the Superion/Menasor/Defensor example. A-B for Blades. Wildrider from an already existing Stuntron. That Afternurner fig that was mentioned. TT would probably follow the A-B route.Makes good business sense. You cater to japanese fanwank at the same time max out the investment in R&D on the mold in particular.

We are simply arguing semantics. I am using the word new to mean it hasnt been released anywhere yet. So in this case, Takara's Guardian is featuring a new mold.

RAcast wrote:I'm still guessing new mold. And it doesn't have to be a "new mold designed for Takara just for Groove," I'm sure it's a mold collaboratively designed for the CW line, because it's inevitably going to be Afterburner for the Computron that we already know (from rumor, yes, but those rumors have pretty much been spot on every time) Hasbro is doing.
I am wondering if Hasbro handed the mold to Takara for the Unite line then Hasbro will release a deluxe class Groove maybe later on like they did with Brake-neck. Then the remold of Afterburner will follow.

Yeah, I cant think of a precedent, can anyone come up with one?
Also Thadicon, the molds belong to both companies since Takara is responsible for all the engineering behind it.

Huh? It's a partnership... I'm fairly confident Hasbro is responsible for Combiner Wars designs.
Could be wrong, though.

They most definitely are (although I think Devastator is Takara design, but just a hunch), I just meant that it being a partnership, Hasbro didnt need to "hand over" a mold to takara. It's theirs too.

Sorry guys I didn't mean to start anything. I was just thinking along the lines of "you guys release it with the unite line and we will release it after". I probably could have worded it better.
