It's a threesome.

Unfortunately, I doubt takera have created a brand new mold, and looking at this silhouette that could just be legends groove attached to which ever limb bot being used as the leg.
I'd love to be wrong on this, but I just don't see Takera creating a brandnew mold just for this.

Retool of who? If its not of a pre-existing figure, then it is a new mold.

A pre-existing/ soon to be released figure. Again, I present the Superion/Menasor/Defensor example. A-B for Blades. Wildrider from an already existing Stuntron. That Afternurner fig that was mentioned. TT would probably follow the A-B route.Makes good business sense. You cater to japanese fanwank at the same time max out the investment in R&D on the mold in particular.

And it doesn't have to be a "new mold designed for Takara just for Groove," I'm sure it's a mold collaboratively designed for the CW line, because it's inevitably going to be Afterburner for the Computron that we already know (from rumor, yes, but those rumors have pretty much been spot on every time) Hasbro is doing.

Yeah, I cant think of a precedent, can anyone come up with one?
Also Thadicon, the molds belong to both companies since Takara is responsible for all the engineering behind it.

Huh? It's a partnership... I'm fairly confident Hasbro is responsible for Combiner Wars designs.
Could be wrong, though.

They most definitely are (although I think Devastator is Takara design, but just a hunch), I just meant that it being a partnership, Hasbro didnt need to "hand over" a mold to takara. It's theirs too.
