Also, if (big if) there will be a Combiner Wars Predaking, do you guys think they will be kept in scale with the already released figures, or will they go the G1 route and make the Predacons larger than the current figures? G1 Predaking scales very well with the CW figures, and I'm tempted to pick up a G1 Predaking to go with them, but not if the (possible) updated version will remain the same size.

In another comment someone mentioned how big the PE feet are but they really add to the figures. Of my 5 combiners, Galvatronus is the only one without the PE feet, the Hasbro version look so small.

Hasbro is aware, they've adjusted the formula to reduce the amount of flake so cases are now sporadic. Besides, CW G2 Quickslinger doesn't seem to have any metallic flake at all, so he should be safe.

For me, best CW head sculpt awards go to the Constructicons.
I found Streetwise to have quite a emarkable headsculpt and that Prowl looked great too. Are the constructicons that much better than Streetwise?

Which pic of powerglide are you referring to?

Its not the same gold plastic. This is more like what they used for voyager movie grimlock.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Just wondering, anybody here still looking for the Protectobots?
Yup, my friend Kanrabat never found all of them at his local toysrus, they were very scarce in Quebec. The only reason I didnt mind was because I had ordered them from tru.ca online when they were available for a day. They never became available online again. Of all the waves so far, this is the one which seems to never have truly reached saturation.

No sign of them in West Michigan, or at least the areas where I live in. I remember that my local Target got wave 4 deluxes, but it looks like they completely skipped wave 3. All the other stores I go to are full of RiD stuff.

I haven't heard any issues about Generations Goldfire/Goldbug, so I wouldn't say it's an issue...

While this is nice to know, I didnt really need a confirmation since I believe they are well aware of the problem. Has there been a recorded case of this stuff even happening in the past 10 years?

In the past ten years? Well, there's been the Star Wars Transformers Chewbacca from 2006, Cybertron Repugnus also from 2006 (which later got rereleased in 2009 in the second Universe line), and Universe/Cybertron Micromaster Superion from 2007.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:John Warden confirmed at SDCC that CW G2 Quickslinger will not suffer from GPS.

Though, the greater significance in John Warden's confirmation besides the confirmation in and of itself is that his confirmation might be the first documented instance of the fan-coined "GPS" term being used by Hasbro in an official capacity.

CHEWBACCA! I knew of that one but forgot in the moment of writing. Wasnt aware of the others. And yeah, that is really cool to know that it is a termed also used by Hasbro.

That question made me realise how true some complaints about bad distributions are. In McKinney TX, the Walmarts are cleaned out of Generations, some odd Rattraps aside, while the Targets are somewhat up to date with Offroad and Breakdown on the pegs, and Wave 3 Cyclonus and Hot Spot with proper Legends to boot.
I'm holding out on the Protectobots in the hope I can easily find UW Guardian somewhere. I do know that once I find Rook, he'll be bought.

My Walmart has Rook, Streetwise and about 10 Blades figures. TRU Has Hotspot. No First Aid anywhere in sight.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Just wondering, anybody here still looking for the Protectobots?

Yeah, I concur, the pegs in the tf section at my walmart are now serving for extra pegs to spider-man toys. The good news though is that this shows Walmart, Toysrus and Hasbro that these toys are selling. I know for a fact that the local (canadian) hasbro Distribution centres are all out of wave 1-3 deluxe and voyagers.

Pretty sure First Aid is the most popular considering his MTMTE role. I was very happy when they said they were releasing him, and I actually am considering getting a 2nd one to have by himself

Same here, for the last few weeks most stores either have empty CW pegs or they still have wave 2. I wanna say I've seen maybe two stockings/restockings of wave 3 and only one stocking of wave 4.william-james88 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:LegendaryAntiHero wrote:That sounds terrible. I did spot two cases on pegs of wave 4 last week at a Target, but it wasn't in my "home" area.
I have been seeing a lot of restocking of waves 3/4 of the legend figures though. I still haven't been able to find Viper in the wild yet. Dem collectors are quick.

I know for sure that my local Meijer has not restocked their deluxes since Wave 1 in February-March. Same with Target, although the closest Target got Wave 4 (by skipping waves 2 and 3, and possible even wave 1) TRU here hasn't restocked since Wave 2. As for my local Walmart, I found Rattraps lying around. Decided to pick one up since he's been waiting for a year.

In my part of the state wave three just hit in the last few weeks. I suspect wave 4 might show up around Christmas, if I'm lucky.

Actually at a Target near me the Transformers section got eaten up by the the Star Wars stuff and has yet to show up somewhere else.

I saw a similar situation in a UK Sainsbury's lots of Blades (at least eight ), a couple of Rooks, one Streetwise and not a single First Aid - then to make matters worse they don't even sell Legends and Voyagers.
I'll be relying on grey importers/discount chains The January sales or EBay I guess.

I dont blame any of that. It is clear that interest in generations toys are at an all time high this year. This is merely the case of more demand than anticipated. While it is good news, showing Hasbro that more inovative toys are as succesful, which helps them determine the demand for next year, it does suck for those who do want these toys.
The reason I forsee the prices being pretty high is that depending on availability, many kids or fans will get only parts of combiners, so there will be a demand down the line to complete sets. This will raise the prices on the secondary market considerably.

I blame the lack of sales (from AOE and beast hunters) in my area causing the stores to order/stock far less transformers.

Really? Interesting. Now that they've finally hit here, they're actually much easier to find than wave 1/2 were. I really only saw wave 1 once, in a Meijers, then occasionally a random single here and there (one aerialbot in a TRU, one Dragstrip in some toy store in a mall). Wave 2, only time I ever saw at all was once, an those weren't even proper wave 2 but foreign editions (without the comics) somehow got into a local Target. Wave 3 I've already seen more than that.
Must be another instance of Gears last year. Everyone seemed to have a hard time finding that wave of the legends, yet here they were all over the place, and it was the previous waves that were hard to find.
Freakin distribution...

Yeah, its pretty messed up. Although we do know that wave 1 and 2 did hit saturation, but that didnt happen with Wave 3 and now Wave 4 is at our doorstep. Glad you got Gears though, there were certain states that didnt even get him.

As for the protectobots: I got the limbs from Entertainment Earth on a discount since they were "store quality" and not mint. Hot Spot and Groove were from amazon, both used, so I ended up getting the lot pretty cheap, which is nice. It is also unique in how on amazon at least the protectobots cannot stay at low prices and they always go up, dip a bit to almost retail price, then rise up and repeat. I blame MTMTE with First Aid
