Seibertronians, are you hyped enough for TF5 yet? The official movie Instagram doesn't seem to think so! After a week of almost non-stop Autobot robot-mode reveals, they've moved on to Decepticons! The first one out of the gate is Barricade! Barricade put in an appearance in both the 2007 movie we well as Dark of the Moon, but hasn't been seen since. But he sticks to his trend of appearing in the odd-numbered movies with his latest appearance.
And speaking of his latest appearance, he has gone through quite a change-up. His robot mode is now a whole lot smoother and his head now resembles Bumblebee with his mask down (Dude must hold a grudge or something). He also appears to take after Hound, with a whole host of weapons available, which include right-arm mounted tasers, a multi-barreled gun over his left arm, a right hip mounted gun, and even some brass knuckles sporting the options of "Protect/Serve" or "Punish/Enslave" for some nice lettered up punch marks (look on his back for the alternate knuckles). I hate the slight resemblance to Bumblebee with the mast down, but I love the design over all. Especially the knuckle dusters, that's awesome. Still not going to see the movie in theaters, but I like the design here!

Barricade's knuckles say "protect" on one hand and "serve" on the other, but on his elbows he has another set with "Punish" and "enslave". Interesting. . ..

I just realized the amount of stuff he has hanging off of him! He's got a side-arm on his right hip, a baton on his left, multi-barreled weapon on his left arm, two tazer-looking things on his right arm, hand cuffs, knuckle dusters. I really like his look!

It's... a decent design, but I'm having trouble picking out similarities to Barricade. Or have I just not seen Movie Barricade in that long? I'm not the only one who thinks the two Barricades look completely different, right?

Same as I thought at first, but now that I look at how this design itself looks, IT LOOKS BADASS. I do kinda miss the alien-like look of Barricade from before though.

I thought he showed up -- and promptly died -- in TF3, breaking his hiatus from the films?

Regardless, I actually quite like this design for him. But somehow, and I know this sounds odd, but I almost wish that he and Bee teamed up to fight the Quintessions or something like that.

Man, I KNOW he's going to be a background character with an unsatisfying death, but I swear I would love to see him use all those weapons and such in inventive ways in a fight, like what Hound did in AoE.

I don't mind the changes to the body, but I wish they kept the same head so there's some resemblance to the old Barricade.

I hope that face is just a mask that flips down over his face, and his real face looks more similar to his old face (even if it's made somewhat more human-like).

Well someone has had some luck with some upgrades at least.

I would very much like to see Megatron and Onslaught as well, but mostly Megatron. Because of reasons/obsession.

Yeah Barricade looks like crap, but thats to be expected. The original was one of the few bayformer designs i actually liked, and just like with everyone else they go and make him look like some junkyard gundamn/zentraedi looking thing with stupid accessories.

He's got the doors on his forearms and the wheels on his shoulders. Looks like Barricade to me. ;)^

Maybe if we complain enough, they'll chNge it like they did with the 2007 Megatron head design?

Also everyone, keep in mind that there will probably be some tweeks to these designs anyways. These reveals are probably just almost-finalized-concept-art.

I'm getting a Bumblebee meets RoboCop with a dash of Bebop vibe from this reimagining. That is not necessarily a bad thing. I dig that he has some bulk to him this go around. The calves really remind me of RoboCop. The bulk of the body is a mismatch of Bumblebee and a robotic Bebop. I even like what looks to be horns on his boot feet. ;)^

Sadly all of the others reveals are meh. Poor Hound...trying to squeeze a fat man into a skinny suit and making him a nurse to boot...his robot mode looks horrible. I bet his vehicle mode will suffer the same fate as Ironhide (gut and arms rubbing ground in truck mode so vehicle will barely roll if at all). Hotrod is a true disappointment as it looks like they just splashed some color on his protoform mode. I see very little that resembles a vehicle and his entire backside is exposed...looks to be no shielding whatsoever.

Barricade being one of the best things to come out of the movies and having a good looking design in the other 2 movies made me happy. This design, not as much, looks a bit like a police version of a generic Bumblebee. Like others pointed out, its the face mainly. At least he has tires showing, thats more than I can say for any others.

In my opinion, Barricade should have an ugly alien-like face such as this always:

I like the sinister-looking old design.

my bet is on squeeks sounding either like Transformers: Cybertron Jolt, K-9 from older Doctor Who shows, or if they go all out to punish us, Kicker from Transformers: Energon

Id think he would totally rock with the first two voices though especially the K-9 one.

other voices that might be neat for him: G1 Cosmos, Seaspray, or Warpath

Brad Swaile's a good actor, he just wasn't a good choice for Kicker. Kicker needed a more manly yet still young sounding voice. Someone like Kirby Morrow (had he not already been voicing Rad) would have worked better for Kicker.

I honestly wouldn't mind Brad voicing Sqweeks if it was more like either his Quatre or Nightcrawler voices, but I really wouldn't expect it to happen since he's in Canada rather than LA.

Seibertronians, it's the moment we've all been waiting for, Megatron himself has been revealed on the TF5 Instagram! Yes, the Decepticon leader returns to the Bay-verse! Confirming it was him we saw in those early teaser images, Megatron now sports a ram-like retractable battle mask, as well as a more knight-like design overall while still keeping his standard movie face look, albeit a little less insectoid. For the first time in Movie-verse history, he is also sporting a new right-arm mounted Cannon that looks similar to Age of Extinction Optimus Prime's shield, as well as a new battle axe held in his left hand. Tell us your thoughts on the new design, and how you think they'll handle the whole Galvatron/Megatron dynamic, and then check him out below!

I really like this new design! the face is still unmistakably movie Megatron.

Man, first three films I was ALL OVER the Movie aesthetic and couldn't care less about the "Classics" line. Now I'm the opposite... ah well.

Oh wow! I like! I hope it gets released in a leader class too when the toys come out.

It's definitely nice and with Welker doing the voice again it will definitely be awesomesauce.

Not really anymore, what with the brand team who created the Aligned stuff having been switched out with the current band team that seems to want to push IDW G1 to the forefront, in which Megatron was always just "Megatron".

It's really only been the Aligned stuff (Prime, the Exodus novel, the Covenant, etc.) that had Megatron formerly named "Megatronus", and yet the most recent big deal usage of the "Megatronus" name was for the original evil Prime who terrorized Crown City in the RID 2015 season 1 finale.
