I like Bumblbee's new look. Maybe a tad more yellow. A thin line going through the left and right sides of the car will do it for me.
I just want to see the robot modes already! It's definitely going to take a little time though. It would be nice if Bee has a voice in this movie but I don't think that is going to happen. Considering not being able to speak is his new gimmick.
It isn't a big deal to me. We just need more focus on the Transformers this time around.

Bad. Ass. Almost makes up for Prime's shitty new alt mode. Almost.
Also, Magnus wasn't exactly "scrapped" from DotM, Sentinel Prime was originally going to be called Ultra Magnus, but then they changed it. They thought Magnus was too much of a goody-2-shoes to be a turncoat.
But if he was that rusty old cab-over? It'd be cool. Personally, I wish it was Grimlock. I really don't want to see a mechanical dinosaur. Not sure why.

Source for why they changed the name?
Shockwave and Megatron were labelled "Blitzwing" and "Cyclonus" in concept art, despite their identity being blatantly obvious. I could see them doing the same for Sentinel.

Maybe. It was in the extras on the limited movie trilogy set blu ray for DoTM. I watched it when I 1st got it, haven't seen it since. But Sentinel was clearly called Ultra Magnus in pre-production. I recall them saying they changed it so Magnus's "character wasn't tarnished." Or something like that.

More or less. Some redneck came up with the term trying to make the word "America" sound tougher. It's caught on ever since, and it's got it's own little meme and series of jokes & gags.

As for the rusty old truck, my guess is Bay is using it as the butt of a joke involving Optimus's new alt mode similarly to the whole yellow Volkswagen at the car lot with Camaro Bumblebee in the first movie.
Couldn't help thinking that myself
Very strange 'Bee has gone 'backwards'...still I guess maybe they are aiming for car enthusiasts? He looks a bit like TFP Cliffjumper though...maybe it's a round-a-bout homage and now 'Bee is kinda like a re-paint of an original Cliff mold?
Hey, it'd be kinda cool of he transformed like TFP Cliff. It'd be closer to that classic Bumblebee transformation and less like Jazz etc.

It has character. That's what I like about old and used stuff. They've seen life. Heck, even both of my leather-jackets are second-handed. That thing looks good for Bee.
I just hope they FINALLY get Bee talking, not through the radio.

Shelfwarming is not Hasbro's fault; the blame is the stores and retailers for overstocking them with the idea that popular characters sell better than mainline characters.

As for the military vehicle, I've no idea, other than suggest Brawn or Bulkhead. Maybe even Hound.

I could see bulk being that..however i think it would work better for a con...but if those pics mean anything i guess he's a bot

Is it too easy for the emergency vehicle to be Ratchet?
The big one being Bulkhead? Hmmm...possible given he's a popular known character of the minute. Not sure I'd like that though. Bulk is easily one of my fave TF characters...so it's worrisome what could get done to him. Although Prime and Ratchet have always been good characters in these movies (what little we get, I know )
Posted by Red 50 on May 30th, 2013 @ 1:28pm CDT
It might be Bulkhead, though I wouldn't bet on it. Brawn would work too. After all, autobots could use a weapons and/or military specialist. After Ironhide's rusty end...

Well, as much as I love the fifth gen. Camo, it's actually growing old as Bumblebee. Since this is a reboot-ish thing he could use a new(er) look. And if they pull it off right he might look badass.
There I go again, ever the optimist.

To be honest they did say the third movie was going to be darker than the last ones. That certainly did the trick. I was shocked, to say the least. Just not in the theatre. F*cking spoilers...

Bumblbee was made into a heartless camaro, instead of a friendly bubbly VW beetle becuase of the licensing issues. And old american cars ditch function for character, so they should of picked a car with character. Also if bumblbee can change into anything in a second, why is he changing into an old camaro. The thing is, classic cars are rare, so bumblbee beeing one isn't very subtle, neither is that horrible corvette, I can not beleive the word concept is next to it.
If they are now using european cars, they should use an English Range Rover Evoque, the victoria Beckham one at that [never thought I'd say that]. Alot of people love classic American cars, but even more prefer European & Japanese styling, it' s more dynamic and much more functional. Also classic cars are also hated, and that's why there are so many shelf warmers. I've never liked Bumblbee becuase I was never a fan of porsches, and a fat porsche isn't my idea of a dream car compared to a countach. But GM cars have alot of sub companies, so they need to use cars that people are familiar with, and a camaro isn't that world wide spread, but the styling isn't bad. But using an old camaro doesn't make sense.
The Yayron is a step in the right dircetion, but if you want a robot that looks good you need to pick a car that has parts that will enhance its looks. An old american car doesn't have parts that look like they belong on a robot, but an English 4x4 off Roader does. Classic cars are a dumb idea, not only are they rare and therefore not great disguises, they also don't look good as robots, and they are not familar with kids, as us collectors aren't important so I'm told. [even though kids don't care about transformers like we did back in the day]

We'll just have to keep our eyes open for stereotypes with these characters.
movie 1: Jazz - afro-american
movie 2: Arcee(s) - female (okay, that's sexist, but still) and Jetfire - old fellow from the British isles (if I'm not mistaken)
movie 3: Que - yeah, I gots confused with that but it CLEARLY is something.

OP, Bee, Bulkhead, and Ratchet. It's obvious. The supposed other two characters make a good addition to the cast. Hopefully they look awesome like we want them to!
I used to not like Bulkhead when he was introduced in animated. I felt like he replaced Ironhide.
But now I really like Bulkhead so I'm cool with that! I hope he has his trademark giant chin too!
