Only thing I’ve ever gotten from toyhax are symbols and oh man those MTMTE ones are nice.

I wish they’d do nick Roche one’s with the thick black outlines

Yo Toyhax, where are my

STAR SEEKER FACTION SYMBOLS!

I've got a Webdiver Galleon that really needs some symbols to join Cannonball's crew.

Really kicking myself for not stocking up on those cassette-smartphones when they were clogging shelves a year ago. I knew full well we'd be getting this many upgrade sets someday, but I procrastinated. Maybe they'll show up at discount stores before I resort to overpaying online.

The main upgrade Swoop needs is his launchers, a tad more complicated than the Clone guns. Any 3rd party announcements in that area, or would it just be too hard to attach them considering how the wings fold up? Someone will probably do a full Dino-accessory set once Snarl and Sludge are out. Until then, no amount of stickers can make ex-Divebomb look less naked.

That Nitro set to turn him into Thunderwing is pretty neat. Especially for people who don't want to risk painting. Still, I'll pass because I already have my custom. ;)

Same. Legends wave 2 barely hung around in stores here, probably because people were snapping them up to go with Soundwave. I thought I was safe waiting on Takara Tomy (got Rewind, Ravage, and Laserbeak from them), but then they passed on Rumble and there was no getting him at a good price by the time we caught on. Too bad, that Enemy sticker set looks nice.

Not at all. If you don't mind them not launching it would require four color molded parts, two red missile tips and two gray launchers that can be plugged together. It would be a little more complex, but not complicated and probably use less plastic than two clone guns. Actually attaching them would be super easy since there are perfectly placed slots on the underside of the wings to plug into and the best part is they wouldn't interfere with the wings folding since they have wedges carved into them that give a lot of leeway for some extra length.

I'm in the same boat. I got the Mountain Dew Stickers and had to get the cassette off Ebay. I like at least one of these new ones, but I'm not paying ebay prices for it.
There timing is pretty bad on those.

Or paint the figure first.

This is the largest discussion I’ve seen on a product update news.

While I didn't see the value in the other Dinobot stickers, the Grimlock ones do look nice.

All the black stuff on Arcee is probably based on Hasbro's Thrilling 30 release and occasional IDW colors. They really went half way with this and should have included the black around the neck and hips.

Alt mode is slightly more convincing.

I like that the PotP Grimlock sheet includes labels with cartoon-style blue optics for both his heads and for Volcanicus'. I painted the optics blue on mine and my goodness but I think it looks better. Maybe it's a color balance thing.

I'm disappointed by the absence of two things. I really want to see improved/alternate versions of G1 Sunstreaker and Ultra Magnus' sheets. Sunstreaker's sheet is missing the Diaclone/pre-rub factory headlight stickers (extra egregious when you can see them on the Sunstreaker in the sticker map!), and both sheets have certain stickers that need color-correcting -especially Sunstreaker's blasted shoulder stickers. The clash isn't too bad on Ultra Magnus, but on Sunstreaker ye gods. Those stickers are supposed to blend the shoulders in with the rest of the carbody, so they need to be the same color. Leaving them red (which matched the Diaclone version) makes them do just the opposite so that the shoulders stick out worse than they would if you left them bare black!
Ideally an upgraded Sunstreaker sheet would also Transformerize certain decals (the "CR" ones on his doors and the one under his canopy that just has a blank silver rectangle, where the Diaclone one said "Car Robo"), but it's no biggy if it doesn't. The headlights and yellow shoulder stickers, those are the key thing that would make me want to buy a Sunstreaker sheet.

I see what they are going for. But one must paint the whole figure in dark purple or black first before applying the sticker sheet. Using Apeface head is also brilliant.

Yeah, but it's still a bit of a stretch.

Well, that's kinda the point. "Stretching" some random toys into other characters offer more sets to sell. I often use those oddball sets to make my own original characters customs and it work very well. Even on the toy that is not intended by the set. Just look a few posts above to have an idea:

Yeah, but it's still a bit of a stretch.

Well, there's only so much you can do without outright kitbashing. If it helps, perhaps think of it as what Tarn might look like in a more vintage G1-based design.

Yeah, those are honestly of greater importance by far. Later figures can be enhanced by these upgrade sets (at least, sometimes. I don't know that I'd call the cel-shaded windows for Jinrai Prime an enhancement, they make it look like a Transform Jr toy IMO) but they don't need them the way G1 toys do. Between how most of the G1 figures were outright designed to use stickers for half their detail and deco, how prone those old paper labels are to various forms of damage (especially if the toy was frequently played with), and how many G1 figures just never had their stickers applied to begin with...

Several years ago I moved to the desert. And while I do keep it cool indoors, it does get warm, so far all my stickers have hung in there. With that in mind should a few get old, I'd be more than willing to repurchase them.

My favorite stickers for this set are the ones for Ramhorn with the tape spools on the sides. I really want to like the Optimus Prime set, but it annoys me that they did cartoon windows and then chrome foil for the arms and legs instead of something more cartoon-like. I do appreciate the added red, though.

Dogfight set just looks like a fancier Triggerhappy. It's too busy for Dogfight and not enough light blue. Also not sure why they didn't add some black to the guns. Feels like they've been doing a lot of half-effort sets lately.

Comes off a lil bit rude in my opinion. These guys do good work and often come to the rescue when Hasbro release a toy with a 'half-effort' deco.

Toyhax is proud to present its newest release!

Starting off strong, we've finally wrapped up our set for POTP Rodimus - it's a whopper alright!
https://toyhax.com/for-potp/2541-labels ... prime.html

Continuing with POTP, we've also got some very creative sets for Tailgate, Elita-One, and Snarl:

https://toyhax.com/for-potp/2548-labels ... a-one.html

No IDW collection feels right without a Crankcase. Toyhax has you covered:

Yet another fantastic conversion, this time for Studio Series Thundercracker, insipred by G2 Dreadwing:
https://toyhax.com/for-movie-toys/2554- ... dwing.html

The long awaited guns and labels for TR Pounce:
https://toyhax.com/for-titans-ret/2555- ... ounce.html

RiD Windblade gets some much needed attention:

Did you like our cell-shaded set for Masterpiece Optimus Prime? If so, you'll love what we did for Hot Rodimus:

Third party was not forgotten! PE Core Magnus:

Dangit. Had me jumping in at mention of Studio Series me thinking they'd done Prime's flames but nope.

What is the relevance of Hot Rod/Rodimus not having Autobot insignia on his chest?

I do like those cell shaded window stickers on the MP Hot Rod.

I wondered that too, but it appears its so you have the option of whatever "type" of Autobot insignia you'd like.

Honestly I hyped up the Roddy Prime set in my head, and I'm a little let down. Not that it's bad, just.. iunno :-?

oh i see it's something to do with the IDW symbols of that obnoxiousl and pointy Rodimus they have (and is used in the extra symbols in this set)

The ones that have me most confused are the black parts at the base of Snarl's plates. Just what are they accurate to? I don't recall that on the original toy, cartoon, or Marvel comic (though I didn't always put labels on my toys if I didn't like them: the chest stickers for the Aerialbots and Protectabots for example).

Not that I buy most Toyhax sets anyway (just the occasional huge batch every sale or so), but the Rodimus one is so 'meh' that it has me hoping they'll also do straight up replacement sets for the POTP official factory stickers, as mine are already starting to peel a tad from transformation.

another update, and still no Star Seeker faction symbol stickers.

Or sets for G1 figures that haven't got sets yet.

I might have to buy Tailgate now, that sticker set looks really nice. Also a little tempted to get the set for the masked RID Windblade, that figure is surprisingly good. SS Thundercracker into G2 Dreadwing makes we reconsider not wanting that figure. I also never realized Pounce and Banzai-tron's guns are based on the same design.

the only POTP set that stands out is the one for Optimus Prime ;)

Am I the only one who think these Elita-1 stickers are terrible ?

Hasbro ones were quite bad on my opinion, too large and covering all sculpted details. I was hoping a lot from Toyhax, but they managed to do worse, with even more large stickers, covering even more surface, with a useless deco which is trying to cover the fact the toy is red and no pink..

I don't get it.

I know, but it's ridiculous. What's the next step, stickers with fake wheels to pretend it's a car and not a plane ?

Stickers should complete the mold/sculpt, not cover them.

It's a thing since G1, you know. So many G1 toys that I applied stickers to and the stickers do cover lots of intricate molding details. Details that often were different or even better than the stickers.

As for sets like Elita's those are meant to make the thing into either a different character, or a different version of a character. So it's justified. If you only want to enhance the existing mold without covering too much, just use part of the sheet and keep the rest for a custom. I did that often without regrets.

Recently got an order in from Reprolabels.... I'm feelin a little like the honeymoons over >:oP

It took a friggin MONTH to get here. And I'm getting less and less impressed with their plastic pieces. I preemptively bought a set for the Carry reissue, and the van spoiler piece is pretty ratchet.

The quality of plastic doesn't feel great (as per usual, is it 3D printed?) and it looks like the tip was lightly chewed by a dog. I'm torn between asking for a new one and trying to sand it myself :-?

A month for me would be normal, you're in the same bloody country, that's not right.
