Titans Return Breakaway AKA Getaway Review

I was the one who posted it first, and technically I should get credit, but it doesn't really matter. Breakaway isn't that amazing of a toy anyway.

i think breakaway was poorly executed they could have done some retool like how CW Dead End and CW streetwise share the same mold but look slightly different

I want a bigger Jetfire, Leader is too small now that we've got three Seeker Jets and a G1 Megatron the same size as him. I'll just consider Jetfire part of a different scale. I can't accept a Grimlock in this line that's smaller than Ultra Magnus.

Also, this is probably one of the worst reviews I have ever seen. The guy wasn't sure if this was Breakaway or Twinferno, WTH?! I just found this guy in the Fargo Target tonight after work, and I even snagged him for their $9.99 price on deluxes. He was the last one on the shelf, but this is a good sign. Keep an eye out at Target—wave 2 seems to be making its way to the Midwest. Happy hunting!

Thanks for the measurement Sureshot! Because of it, I have just started working on a Blowpipe Targetmaster for TR Triggerhappy. This is my progress on it. I only wanted it to be around the height of a Titanmaster for visual purposes.







Surprisingly, this progress took me only an hour or so. I thought the head would take me longer. I autta do more targetmasters!

His Triggerhappy review was kinda gushing while he just does not care about Getaway at all, huh?

And what if the Dinobots were in the 86 movie scale? They certainly seemed considerably larger than the average bot there. At least in dino mode. Didn't see them too much in robot mode.

I turned the head 180 and it was loose in the socket

Whichever way I have him, it's not a loose head. I thought it was 180, but maybe not. I'll check when i get home tonight and report back. Everyone else is turned 180. I think only Highbrow is loose on mine.

Sioux Falls has had the entire wave at both of their Targets. Of course it is after I paid through the nose at Walgreens. Oh well.

He also calls Triggerhappy a 'major retool'. Not only is that completely wrong, he doesn't even attempt to say who it's a major retool of... I've watched some of this guy's reviews before, they're really not fun. They're always so pessimistic it seems.

If I could make one suggestion, and I don't know how hard this would be so don't worry too much about it... in the japanese Headmasters series, the Targetmasters had an alternate mode of connection where instead of being handheld, they attached to their partner's wrist much like Shockwave's gun hand.



The process was also replicated in Universe Cyclonus with Nightstick; Cyclonus' hand folding back to reveal a notch Nightstick could attach to.





Again, if it's too hard; don't bother. Especially since we don't have the Triggerhappy toy actually in-hand yet and we don't know a connection point it could work with. Just thought it'd be cool

I have been checking Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and Toys R Us for the last month and a half in both Fargo and Moorhead, and this is the first I have seen any of the wave 2 deluxes, so hopefully this means they are finally making their way around here.

Not sure if this has been posted, but it appears that TR Deluxes and Voyagers wave 2 are available at toysrus.com. I know this isn't a big deal for many of you since I know a lot of folks have picked it up at Walmart for less than $10 each. But it's a big deal to me since there are no Walmarts in NYC for me to visit, and my local TRU has not gotten wave 2 deluxes yet.

BUT, there's a twist. I was randomly searching for it on my TRU app on my Android phone. I almost never do it, and was surprised to find it. Since buying on a computer is much easier, I jumped on my laptop. However, I was not able to find them on their website. So I tried to buy it on my phone, but kept getting a technical glitch that prevented me from completing the transaction. I ended up successfully ordering it on my iPad instead. But who knows if TRU will actually send it or cancel my order like they did for my NES Classic this morning.

If they send it, great, I'll get it for $12.99 each. I'll do it WJ style and hold onto the receipt and try to find an arbitrage situation.

Thanks Kurona! I'll certainly consider it! Problem is though, like you said, I'm not exactly sure how he'd attach like that. And if I do it for one, I'd want to do it for them all.

The front you see here is the true front, meaning the gun barrel wouldn't be able to cover the head since it's located in the back. I have some ideas for how the head can hide however. I am trying to keep the number of pieces to a small amount though. Do the most you can with the least pieces is always the best way to go.

The hinge for the backpack is obviously entirely too fragile. Like I said, I have some things to correct.

anyways. i got another highbrow and i think i may like him now

So Defensor's currently combined and I gave him Leader Thundercracker's large gun as a weapon because I honestly believe that looks so much better than anything else I could give him.

So that leaves me with Hot Spot's two (awesome) rifles. Any sane person would either put them somewhere on Defensor for spare weaponry or storage, or give them to another 'bot for weapons.
