A couple of updates regarding the Takara Tomy Transformers: Lost Age Movie Advanced line! First up is a video review of Deluxe class AD-16 Dino/Mirage, courtesy of Seibertron.com user IJKProductions, embedded below.

And in other redeco/remold news, we finally see a decent image of EX Wheeljack! The figure will apparently be an Aeon store exclusive, and is currently priced at 3500 Yen (approx $35), can be pre-ordered from now until July 31st, and will be available in stores as of August 8th. Check it out below, courtesy of the Transformers Addicts Facebook page!

Wow... A proper Movie Wheeljack with a head to mach! Do I want to spend over 50$ for this? This thing is tempting.

Soundwave's head was already stylized from G1, besides Wheeljack's new head is the alternate head for the mold shown in Autobot Que's instructions. Look up "pretools" (pre-planned retools).

I know Wheeljack already had that head shown but I read that the Soundblaster repaint was going to get a head that was much closer to G1. Doesn't matter really as I'll be getting Soundblaster and Dino today.

You may think it's awesome, but aside from Sling (both the Japanese name for G1 Slingshot, and the name of a Dimetrodon Destron) those names, at first sight, are silly. any idea where they got them, especially Thunderlips? Wait... don't tell me they were the preliminary names. #-o

The giant leaked list from Hasbro's customer service system. It had codenames for several AOE toy characters, all taken from the Rocky movies.

Thunderlips = Slug
Southpaw = Scorn
Ivan = Grimlock
Max = Lockdown
Bruce = Drift
Paulie = Strafe
Rocky = Slash
Duke = Hound
Adrian = Galvatron

Hmmm...since Takara seems to be releasing a few canceled items from previous movie lines with the Movie Advanced branding, anyone think we might finally get ROTF voyager Megatron in proper gray/silver coloring? One was slated for release, at least in Japan, in a two-pack with a retooled HFTD voyager Optimus Prime with additional Jetfire parts for a flight pack, but the set was ultimately canceled.

Unlikely, at least in the main line. AD08 to AD19 is dedicated to the previous 3 movies, 4 figures each, and the first 2 already have their lineups filled. AD18 and AD19 will definitely be based on Dark on the Moon.

And you got the info slightly wrong there. The Megatron and Optimus Prime sets were meant as individual releases, and the Optimus Prime one uses the original Movie Voyager mold for the Jetfire parts.

My mistake. I always assumed it was a two-pack, probably because they were to be released at the same time, each with a movie-inspired comic book. Still, it would be nice to have these at some point, especially Megatron. That ROTF voyager tank version of him with proper coloring be much appreciated for my movie-verse display.

Again from Toys 'R' Us Japan, from the Takara Movie Advanced line we get high resolution images of AD27 Bumblebee and AD28 Snarl. Neither one strays too far from their Hasbro counterparts. As an added bonus we get a look a LA12 Stinger which is the Takara version of the Hasbro one-step Stinger figure.

It's worth noting that AD27 is actually called New Bumblebee, to differentiate it from AD04 Classic Bumblebee aka High Octane Bumblebee.

BB looks great, way better than what were getting here paint wise. Snarl had glorious wrist swivels! Also, they posed him holding his axe right. Stinger is colored correctly, unlike Hasbros bright red stinger.

Seibertron sponsor TFSource dropped us a line about a new figure in the Takara Tomy Lost Age Movie Advanced line. AD31 is Ultimate Power Mode Optimus Prime which looks to be a retooled version of Age of Extinction Leader Class Optimus Prime. The images are placeholders only.

Maybe the Toy wizards at Takara found a way to reduce his backpack. If so, Im hoping that he has a more solid truck bed. Hes probably going to be painstakingly recolored for movie accuracy. For the weapon, I assume its going to be the rifle he used until he found his sword and shield.

There are only three significant i.e. named villainous Transformers in Age of Extinction, the least they could do is give them all a proper action figure. I hope Stinger gets a Deluxe release.

Would it have killed them to make Galvatron Leader Class?

Snarl looks great, but I don't really recall seeing him in the film, whereas Stinger featured heavily.

Galvatron wouldn't really have been workable as a Leader Class. People don't like backpacks. I've heard rumors floating around that Stinger is going to be a re-shell of 2014 Concept Bumblebee with a new head, and that more will be shown at comic con.
