That wouldn't be Terrorsaur since they're keeping the Beast Wars characters as a separate thing, right? Looks more like Ironhide to me, especially being next to Brawn. That's also probably not Soundwave since he already has his own Transtector.
Yellow one sort of reminds me of Leadfoot.
But would they use a G2 guy? Probably not.
I wonder if blue Shuffler has anything to do with my theory of him being used for a potential e-Hobby blue Big Convoy (made from Magna Convoy's blue Astrotrain-modeled ship)? Cameo perhaps? Or just something entirely different, I don't know...

I'm actually thrilled when someone delivers all of these.
On the flip side, whenever I come across a reviewer more focused on their fan character or puppet while talking in a digitally altered chipmunk voice, I always stop those a few seconds in while muttering "nope, nope, nope."
I'm too old for that nonsense.

agreed, also I changed my post to say *some* , not all toy reviewers irk me, just the ones with a cheesy gimmick as you stated, or who often state "I don't know what this is" about the toy they are reviewing.

I'd say the same about keeping them short with good pacing. A 30 min review for a toy is toooo long.
All that said, I AM grateful for the early glimpses of the toys and objective opinions. I hope reviewers can take all this constructive criticism and hone their craft.

well said. Also Sabr...I had not seen that video before, that's pretty darn amusing considering it was made way back in 2011. I probably just started watching Toy reviews in the past 18 months, and have seen all of those (though to be fair, cats in TF videos is a flaw I don't mind really lol!_)
Also it confirms the fact that I made the right decision as a parent. My son (10) was inspired to make his own TF toy reviews on his iPad, basically just mimicking much of what he saw other reviewers doing, he asked me to upload them to Youtube, but I said no, basically to spare him from the scars of rude comments, oh and the volume was so low, you really couldn't hear anything heh. I applauded him for his efforts, and to keep trying though. But like most kids, his interest faded, and although he is still into the toys, he is also interested in other things so doing videos probably wont come up again for a while.
Anyways...looks like youheidx next video will be Legends Chromedome. He usually goes in waves from various different Japanese toys, so hopefully we will get a Megatronia video soon, and perhaps a couple other Transformers before he hops to the next thing.
I do have to say, like UW, the TT Legends figures do look better in many ways than the Hasbro TR equivalents, but the increased price is a deterrent unfortunately.

Peaugh is especially prone to making things not in frame for extended periods for example. I've also seen people talk about anything an everything but the toy including unwanted details about their private life.
Our new Bo Chefatron is loath to edit anything. and John Garrison is prone to ramble a bit. Chuck's & Panda Prime's sound is horrible, some of the most annoying reviewers I can't watch at all so I can't comment on.
Some thing people moan about just irritate me - sprue marks being one of them - no idea why - it just irks me to see people winge about that.
But yes that is a video I'm familar with and it often comes to mind (unfortunately)

Unlike Broadcast and rewind, the latter slides in smoothly. But in SW, Ravage has some issues. The pseudo screw gets in the way of the basket like device that holds the tablets in. Haven't opened Condor yet. Hopefully no issues with him too.

Funy enough, even though I have all the tabletcons and soundwave, I havent played with them together yet. For some reason I have had enough fun playing with them individually. I should get on to that though.

This may sound silly, but have you tried simply turning them around and putting them in the other way? A few times I thought one of the "tabletcons" wouldn't fit, but tried turning it around, and it slid it like butter.

Tried that. Flipped the position and did a 180 perpendicular and horizontal. Still the same. Rewind on the the other hand, smooth in both Broadcast and Soundwave.
In Rewind's case, on of his ends has a narrower pointy part. That helps. Ravage/Jaguar doesn't have that design.

Legends Astrotrain is basically the Astrotrain we've been waiting for in the Titans Return line, if you've been waiting for a G1 colored figure. I'm really impressed with how they picked out the details on Astrotrains face, I almost thought it was a new mold. If you haven't been able to find Astrotrain yet, the Takara Legends version is a solid purchase.

Amazon Japan has it in stock now and they'll ship to the US. Total cost was roughly 0.09 less than BBTS before shipping. Ordered on a Saturday, got it on a Tuesday. Also Amazon Japan says they'll have Lio Convoy on the 25th.

I've already got Astrotrain preordered at TFSource, and will be converting some of my saved up Source Points for money off. Right now, it'll pay to be patient, but if (when) the US economy tanks again, Amazon Japan may become a viable option going forward.

Titans Return/Takara Legends Blaster and Soundwave are great "Classics" versions of themselves, but it still irks me a bit that they are Leader sized. Voyager size would have been absolutely perfect. Still, I'm using both Leader figures in my respective Autobot and Decepticon displays. Blaster doesn't look too out of place, as he was always a bigger guy, but I keep him separated from Jetfire so as not to ruin the scale illusion. Soundwave, on the other hand, is noticeably bigger than my United Voyager Megatron, and absolutely dwarfs all the seekers. >.<

I'm looking forward to the downscaled MP Soundwave KO sometime this year (if it happens) but there is always the WFC/FOC Voyager I guess.
But it's odd that there isn't very many Soundwaves that are Voyager size that are actually some sort of G1 related Soundwave. There are a few Deluxe size ones like the Device label one or the WFC Deluxe.
(And yes I count WFC/FOC as more G1 related than I do perpetuate the pretty Fantasy that the is such a thing as the aligned continuity still.
Mostly as it's completely ridiculous to say FOC is a prequel to Transformers Prime).
But you never know they may make another smaller Voyager Soundwave in Prime Wars 3.0

I think an update of Soundwave as a surveillance van and Blaster as an SVU/sound system on wheels would be fun and fitting for each character's personality.

Wolfman Jake wrote:Indeed, I understand why Soundwave and Blaster are the size they are. I also used their FoC Voyager versions as their "Classics" selves for quite a long time, but they just don't fit very well aesthetically compared to their '84/'85 compatriots, who are all (mostly) real world based vehicles and objects. The much more Cybertronian alt modes for the FoC bunch mesh a little better with some of the more whimsical/futuristic designs from '86 and onwards, but those aren't really their intended "peers" as far as I'm concerned. I'd love for Hasbro/Takara to just do solid voyager Classics versions of not only Soundwave and Blaster, but Ironhide, Ratchet, Trailbreaker, and Hoist...and all the Seekers...and Shockwave. Is that so much to ask, lol?

TFA did a van of SW. Not good. If it was the DonFig design on the other hand, it would have been awesome!

It's a pretty loose interpretation. I think what Will was pointing out is that Takara was referencing something specific, instead of it just being a random "Space Cruiser".Sigma Magnus wrote:Nexus Knight wrote:I am I the only failing to see the similarities with Leo's ship mode and the Yukikaze? So instead of him captaining the Yukikaze he is the Yukikaze? That's... pretty neat, actually. Wish Hasbro had done something similar w/ AT.

But is that the official word, though? Did Takara actually claim that they're using the ship mode to represent the Yukikaze, or even that they simply colored it in homage to the Yukikaze, or is it just an assumption that we fans have made? Cuz I don't recall hearing anything from an official source about the ship mode being the Yukikaze or even just being colored after it.Nexus Knight wrote:Cobotron wrote:It's a pretty loose interpretation. To me, it just looks like the base plastic colors carried over from the other modes into the ship mode, while the windows got painted blue because blue is an extremely common color that windows typically get painted on toy vehicles.
After all, the Yukikaze was predominately cream and violet, and there's not a speck of violet anywhere on this toy, let alone its ship mode. Also, there's no giant blue Maximal symbols on either side of the ship mode, which were proudly displayed on the Yukikaze in places where this toy instead just has plain white surfaces that could have easily had a blue tampo'd onto each one (and since these surfaces are the inside of the lion head halves, the symbols wouldn't show up in lion mode, and would be behind Lio Convoy in robot mode).

Its a loose interpretation. And I just added that detail for us to see if it even is a decent interpretation or not.
The part that makes me think there is definite intent is that blue cockpit at the top, its exactly where that same blue can be found on the Yakikaze
