Amazon has shipped out quite a few new Transformer toy releases recently. One of those is Arcee which has yet to be found at brick and mortar. The fact that Amazon had her in stock and ready to ship means that this wave of toys have landed in the US and should be found at other US retailers soon. Here is a review from fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg1999
chuckdawg1999 wrote:When Studio Series 86 Arcee was originally announced, many fans thought it would be a slight repaint of the current Earthrise mold that has been re-released in the Kingdom line. Well SS86 Arcee is a heavy retool of the older 30th-anniversary mold that results in the best G1 Arcee we've gotten to date, it's by no means perfect though. Transformation is a bit more involved than you would think, especially when you realize that having enough clearance in vehicle mode is a difference of millimeters. Car mode is the closest to the G1 animation I've seen, I'm very impressed with how the designers were able to pull it off. Unfortunately, there is still a sizable backpack to deal with in robot mode, but the joints are tight enough for now to handle it. There are plenty of better Arcee toys, but if you're looking for a pure G1 experience this is the best you can do.

sol magnus The review of Sludge was fine you could try to pep it up but do what feels natural to you, way too many people put too much annoying inflection and goofiness into their voices when they do youtube reviews. Chuck is natural which is why I like his videos.

I appreciate the feedback. I too hate the manufactured enthusiasm, but I think I can find a happy medium. I expect to have a video of Jhiaxus up in a few days, so hopefully it'll be an improvement.

One thing I can recommend is don't try to force humor, stuff is funnier when it comes naturally.

This right here.
My wife has told me I should try some review videos to see how it goes, I told her because of the way I talk, the inflection and intensity in my voice I might sound too overly aggressive for some. I will say my humor is pretty natural and my actual snarkyness in RL sometimes scares people. I do have an idea what I might try though. Chuck if I do something and upload it I might send you the link to give me your input if you don't mind.

Either you are overly critical, or you landed a rare lemon.
My Leader Sludge is perfect all over and it may be one of the best leader toy this year in my opinion.

Must've gotten a lemon, which is too bad as it is a good figure

He's able to hold up for now but feels like he's a worn out too already and he's brand new. The bicep swivel is super tight though

No. At least not me. I did a video on him manipulating the figure joints. None were loose. No trouble with the 'backpack.'

I was actually going to wait until all 5 got released and I wanted to open them all at once. However, the combination of worry over Sludge's apparent assembly problems as well as my lack of self-control got the better of me and I opened all 3. I am very happy with these guys. They're chonky (especially Slag and Sludge) and I like them even more than I thought I would. Can't wait for Snarl and Swoop.
I'm glad you're enjoying them, they are very fun figures

Thanks. The hips feel fine with the q-tip, not too tight, not too loose.
The knees are still somewhat loose though.

I read the qtip surgery is not thevright approach to this particular problem and it can ruin your toy.

How those knees are "loose"? The bot can't hold his pose without ragdolling over or it don't pass the "shake test"?
Sure, the ratchet joints on my Sludge are not hard Cybertron style ratchets, but he keep his pose, any pose, and pass the shake test.

More or less how my copy is. I did see a review of one with really floppy legs, but it was very early.

They can hold up the foot, but they can't hold up the rest of the robot when standing. They'll bend backwards with minimal pressure when standing.

I also like SS86 Blurr over the TR version, but my reason is opposite yours. I don't like the fact that he's a headmaster, and I kinda regret getting him. As soon as I have the Legacy version, TR is going on the auction block.RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:As promised, I now have 86 Blurr and will explain my thoughts. he's excellent guys, what is wrong? The biggest issue with Blurr is the arm-guards and his headsculpt is a bit off. Other than that, he's no better or worse than any other WFC/SS88 era figure.

Headsculpt is better in person and when you get over it. The arm pads stay tabbed in well if you hold the arm from the front, but maybe it's because I dont have meat hands,

No, he was correct, there is a Legacy Blurr which is the IDW2005 Blurr design.
I find the SS86 Blurr mediocre at best. The head sculpt lets it down big time, that's the main area the SG release fixed up. But the arm guards are not that good and have bad QC on the hinges, plus the legs and elbows on my SG one have been a lemon as well.
He's also just bland looking and functioning. I know it's accurate, but the TR had much more playability and the transformation was also much more satisfying with all the clicks into places.
TR was quite good, and the SS one is technically better but not as fun.

I am well aware of what SS also stands for, but that has been the official abbreviation for the line going back over 4 years, and clearly here everyone knows what SS refers to.

Doesn't matter - it's been SS or SS86 for way more than long enough that no one attributes it with the WWII SS. Just think Studio Series, cuz no one around here (that I know of) is stan-ing for Nazis.

Studio series, not legacy. But Blurr is a great figure, definitely pick him up!
My Blurr has good qc, and I like the look. I'm a geewuner though. The headsculpt is better in hand. Would you mind say stud ser instead though? ss actually stands for a nazi organization.
also doesn't help that that damn Blurr is STILL shelfwarming my local targets and walmarts. It and Kup, and I had no interest in that figure either. as a result, I've seen him a lot in hand too, and it is no better to me in hand. They just did not do any good with that first wave of SS deluxe heads outside Jazz.
I am well aware of what SS also stands for, but that has been the official abbreviation for the line going back over 4 years, and clearly here everyone knows what SS refers to.
Also, Bayverse Hot Rod and Bumblebee are canonical Nazi hunters/killers, and both of them are in SS, so make of that what you will
Still, it sounds bad as an abbreviation. I'm literally Ukrainian so...
I dont care about Micheal baby, remember I said I'm a geewuner...
Doesn't matter - it's been SS or SS86 for way more than long enough that no one attributes it with the WWII SS. Just think Studio Series, cuz no one around here (that I know of) is stan-ing for Nazis.
and if they are, they aren't staying here. We don't tolerate nazis here. Just call me TLK Hot Rod or Bumblebee

The Shattered Glass version is the best with its killer deco and unique head sculpt.

Are we really going there?
Because that whole thread arc looks and feels like a trolling.
BTW, Maximal, "real Nazis" are like the Sasquatch or UFO sighting. People talk about them a lot, but no one ever met one. Online or not.

We all know that getting a SS86 Megatron is very slim to pretty much none. So does that also disqualify SS86 Optimus? I mean, it would be pretty much the rerelease of ER leader Prime in a SS86 box, but still.
And I'm still waiting for Siege Springer to get another release in SS86, minus the "battle damage." I wonder what the chances of that are.
What about SS86 Devastator? The last G1 Devy we got was CW, and that was 7 years ago. By the time he's announced and then released, it would be 2025 most likely. 10 years is long enough. Plus this version should be 6 deluxes instead of voyager.

Ss86 optimus would be a black repaint, which already exists. And there is a ko downscale cw devastator.

Devy has a good chance, don't forget as well though that he did get a reissue a year or so ago. How big were the individual constructicons compared to Megatron/Soundwave and the like, as that would determine their size classes.
