The next up will be the new and improved Voyager Metallic Prime, which is different from the Robovision version sold at Target, it is in the darker color scheme, no extra flames, but is in Metallic shinny paint..with a Shinny Metallic Thundercracker..
After that is a Metallic shinny Rescue Ratchet, and Thundercracker again..
skywarp-2 has also included some pictures for confirmation:
Many thanks to skywarp-2 for being thorough with his investigation.

Sportimus, skywarp stated that the pics on the "Also Available" figures were shiny, I'm guessing that the camera just does not portray this as well.
The Metallic Ratchet and Megatron do not look shiny either (thanks to the camera).

no, I confirmed it with the manager, who took me to their little side computers which are at the end of the isles, and he showed me the sku with the information of the next ones coming in, it clearly said Optimus Prime and Thundercracker.. I ofcourse couldn't snap a shot of it with my Camera Phone, they probably would have thought me an industrial espionage spy or something...but Trust me.. I'm telling you guys the truth!!!

exactly.. and just cause they don't say metallic finish on the images doesn't mean that those guys aren't up next in their series.. from what the manager said they had alot of Thundercrackers....
My guess is they are probably an overstock from the repaints that wal-mart had or something like that...
one more thing to note, the boxes say Autobot ratchet, and Megatron.. those are the names of the characters, the super Metallic finish is down in the corner of the box.. now why would the images of the bottom of the box say Super Metallic Finish voyager Optimus Prime?? Or Super Metallic Finish Rescue ratchet?? Your buying the product that is super metallic finish, why would Hasbro advertise others that aren't in that super Metallic finish line for Best Buy??
I'm sticking to what I believe and what that Manager said to me and showed me on their inventory look up computer that was in the isles..

Anyway, I was one who got a Megatron (the local best buy only had 2 of him, one of Ratchet btw). I just compared the pic of Thundercracker on the bottom to the pic on the box for Rescue Ratchet. Both pics have the same shine to them. I'm thinking those 3 are featured on the Best Buy boxes because they were the last 3 voyagers released. At least everywhere near me they were. I never saw Prime until Rescue Ratchet and Thundercracker came out.

Unless the manager at a Best Buy also worked for Hasbro, this isn't likely to be true.
Rescue Ratchet and Thundercracker weren't even in the movie so why would Hasbro spend good mony on repainting them with expensive shiny paint?

I don't know..... That's what the Manager said to me, and that's what I saw on the computer screen.. will someone else go to a Best Buy and have an employee look these items up!! I need a little back up and confirmation here, other wise sckeptics will never be satisfied ...sigh...

actually, and congrats on the first post!! but the Voyager Optimus prime came out awhile ago, the images on the boxes aren't any indication of the metallic shine, you don't notice it really until your closer to them and in the light, but I will say that I am very confident that those figures on the back of th box are the next releases... I am not fibbing when i say i talked to th manager, and I was shown the next releases in their system said Optimus Prime and Thundercracker.. Now the shipment ETA on that screen was unknown...but the manager did say he expected them within a few more weeks or so..

tell you what, how about you take a trip to Best buy tomorrow, and find out from someone who works there.....
I took my lunch today to do that to find out an answer so that i could finally get some piece of mind and let ya'll know what I found out, since my earlier posts were hazy, 1 because of greygoose and Cranberry, the other because I was in a hurry with the lady at the store...so i went back to get the scoop from the Manager.. I'm starving myself for the fandom!!! ok, well, now I'm leaving work and going home, I'll be back later tonight.. see ya later guys..

I'll tell you what, I made the trip to Best Buy on Tuesday and I got the same exclusives you did. I am looking at my exclusives and I am looking at my other voyagers and I see absolutly no difference.
I just can not believe some random manager at some random Best Buy has super secret inside information about these toys that he decided to share with you when no one else knows anything about them.
Yeah, I'd take the word of a manager from Best Buy who most likely knows next to nothing about Transformers as something to consider a rumor much less the truth.

The Manager of a Best Buy does not work for Hasblo. BB may be getting Primes and Ratchets, but I still do not think they are metallic finishes, just normal Voyagers we all know and love. There has been no news of this officlally from Hasbro either as far as I know.
I could be wrong, and I don't mind if I am. But I can't help but be skeptical about this. Something just isn't right.

That makes it super easy then, Skywarp-2 can drive back to said Best Buy and get his manager buddy to let him snap a shot of the screen with the SKU's on it.

I'm part of the news crew, and even I have to agree.
Nothing I see here tells me these are "Premium" series TFs(Thundercracker? Really?). The photos don't prove anything, and the word of a guy who works at a store isn't really reliable. I just tonight talked to a manager from Wal-Mart who tried to convince me that a loose, busted-up Ultimate Bumblebee they found in their stock room was an extremely rare Transformers from an old series...

One thing I find odd is that Thundercracker is a Target exclusive, so why would it be pictured on any other non-Target package? This leads me to believe that maybe there is a difference from the verson released at Target and it just might be a metallic finish version. Hasbro did just say there will be more.
The pictures, however, are inconclusive.
The Best Buy manager may think he knows what he is talking about, but without official confirmation it is all speculation.
That being said, I hope it is true but take this news as a rumor for now.
Honestly, the only figures that would interest me are #1 Leader Megatron Vintage Finish, #2 Leader Blackout, #3 Voyager or Leader Bonecrusher.
A deluxe Jazz in metalic would be tempting too.

Let's go over the facts here for a moment.
1.) It was officially stated that Best Buy would be carrying a line of exclusive "premium" repainted figures. Not just Megatron and Ratchet.
2.) Skywarp is taking this from info he was given from the manager, and the computer. (I repeat, info from the manager and the computer, not Skywarp himself.)
3.) Hasbro is known for odd moves involving repaints and remolds, no matter the retailer.
It's understandable to be skeptical, it's understandable to be confused.
However, it is *not* understandable why everyone is dogpiling on Skywarp. He only delivered the info he was given, he didn't make it up (he has no reason to, plus his track record proves that he isn't a troll) and if anyone's to blame...blame Best Buy's computers and the manager that gave him this info without more substantial proof.
You people owe Skywarp an apology. It's one thing to be angry about the situation, but it's another to take it out on him.
"Don't kill the messenger" does anyone get that? What is this? A firing squad? He doesn't owe you anything (no one owes you anything, as a matter of fact), and you need to quit acting like it.
What's wrong with you people? Disgusting behavior, people. Disgusting.

Part of me thinks, yes, there will be more Best Buy exclusives as there are 4 listings in the computer, which would make no sense since there are only two toys out now.
Part of me also thinks, no, this was a typo in the system as there would be no reason for Best Buy to get another set of exclusives as these two were released to go with the DVD.
One possible solution to that problem may be a possible 2 pack release closer the Christmas featuring the Original 87 movie with the '07 movie. I could realistically see this occuring as a Best Buy exclusive and two more toys to go with it.

I would have opted for a Metallic repaint of Starscream as Skywarp, rather then another Thundercracker, but that's just me.. it doesn't make sense to see the Thundercracker and Rescue Ratchet as Metallics...but that's what i saw, that's what the store manager said, and that is what i relayed back to you guys..
I am glad to see people sticking up for me, it's nice to know there are people out there who have been keeping track of what i am all about, and that is not lying to you, or trying to be a big "somebody" on this forum.. I'm here simply to enjoy what we all hold as a wonderful hobby.. collecting, watching, reading, living and some of us breathing transformers...you guys who sniff them as you open the packages know who you are...
anyways.. i would have loved a skywarp or a Bumblebee metallic, and a jazz or Barricade metallic.. i think the metallic sheen makes the figure look more G-1-ish, toy wise (hinting back to the diecast roots) and more realistic like a real waxed and shiny car would be like..
If the Premium line up isn't just relegated to metallic coloring, i hope they can get the license to sell the updated realisitc Blackout voyager repaint.. that I would buy in a heart beat and sell off all my regulars...

If you look at this image there from Remy's site, you can see the Robovision prime and his metallic colors actually pale in comparison to the Best buy Exclusive Megatron..I would kill to have a good working digital camera for this such discussion..
anyways, the Robovision is quite cool looking, but way too light, and not as metallic and shiny as Megatron is..
On the other hand, here is the Optimus Prime voyager, without the metallic colors, lighter blue, and extra flames.. he looks good, but is very dull compared to megatron...this Optimus is the plain old regular voyager..
So long story short, the Robovision is okay, the Voyager has a more movie type paint scheme and is a bit darker, but a Metallic of the plain old voyager would look absolutely wonderful, and would be a compliment to that Megatron.. It makes sense....it makes sense that Best Buy would do a Metallic Prime, they did Ratchet and Megatron why not him and Thundercracker next??
the Rescue ratchet and Thundercrakcer are kinda iffy... Where is Skywarp?? I'll bet he ends up at Botcon 08.. I'll pay soemone whose going to get him for me if that's the case...
By the way, Leader Optimus Aside, these figures from Best buy are the absolute crown jewel of my movie collection..
My recommendation is get to them while you can..
Also here is what the official hasbro site says about the premium line...they mention Leader class and deluxe as well...!!!!!!!!

The robot mode is where this one has some added benefit. Strangely enough, I also found a slight improvement with the mold. On the original, the windshield split and sat on his sides. With the metallic version, you can actually swing the glass all the way to his backside. This does help out the look quite a bit. Not sure if this was also incorporated into Rescue Ratchet as well. If someone knows, please tell.
Premium Ratchet actually looks like he stepped ofgf the screen and on to my desk, it's a wonder how much difference a new paint scheme can make a figure look...
I gotta add this for those who don't have them yet...
eBay has great prices on the Metallic best Buy toys, get them as fast as you can.. they aren't in price gouge mode yet.. hurry up!!! before they are gone, or cost a mint!!!

Also here is what the official hasbro site says about the premium line...they mention Leader class and deluxe as well...!!!!!!!!
This collection of the best characters across Movie Deluxe, Voyager and Leader classes features premium deco treatments and finishes to create the ultimate movie figures.
ROFL. I'm sorry, but this has to be one of the best line of advertising BS ever. If you remember, when we first heard about the metallic specials, original ratchet was shelfwarming the walmarts. The conversation probably went like this.
Hasbro Employee 1: So WTF do we repaint Megatron as? Crappy-looking-bird-ticon?
Hasbro Employee 2: Let's just do a robovision version like prime.
1: I don't know if that's enough. He's getting a lot of hate from the fans.
2: Well, what about making him super shiny and calling him a fan favorite.
1: Great idea, let's do the same thing for ratchet, he's selling the slowest out of the voyagers we have now.
2: What about ironhide, maybe the same for him, or make him red G1-style.
1: Whatever, he's the best voyager out right now. We could paint him blue and they'd still buy him.
(three months later)
2: The suckers are eating this metallic repaint up, let's do the same thing for all the crappy characters, keep calling them fan favorites, and make it a whole premium exclusive line.
1: Great!!! I was kinda stressed out about how to re-release the payload mold. Metallic premium Payload it is. Can you say cha-ching?
2: Thundercracker's doing well. Should we do skywarp next.
1: Nah, we already done the mold three times and with battle-damage Starscream, battle-damage G1 Starscream, battle-damage metallic G1 starscream, and Sunstorm coming out nobody'll want a skywarp.
2: Next problem then, we've got the battle pack bumblebees for January and February 08. Which 10 bumblebees are we releasing the 10 months after that.

The reviewer is wrong. The original Ratchet (and Rescue Ratchet) and this Premium one all share the same mold. The windows swing back on mine as well.
