But, yeah, I have fond nostalgia for G2 as that was the time I was finally making enough money to buy some of the Transformers I loved as a kid, but couldn't afford. I got a full G2 Superion set (please, Has/Tak, don't do Slingshot in gold plastic again!!) Bruticus, both large and smaller tank Megs, G2-G1 Prime (same but with a black trailer and a sound box), Jazz (which didn't look all that different), Sideswipe, Starscream, and Ramjet (which was awesome in purple and teal!) So, yeah, bring on the G2 repaints!!

That this is the fan made combiner?

Hmmmm.... The only other thing that it could be besides the Fan built combiner would be an SDCC exclusive or something, in my opinion. I don't think hasbro would release 2 versions of every combiner.

Yeah, now that I am looking closer, it cant be the fan built combiner, it says superion on the box (at the top near the card image)

Do it!

DO IT, HASBRO!
So here's my question, because I can't tell from what of the picture I can see: Do you think they'll do G2 Gold Slingshot, or will Alpha Bravo steal Slingshot's color scheme again?
And a follow up, who of us wouldn't buy a golden Alpha Bravo?

I'd actually be most excited for G2 Offroad, since he'd effectively be the G2 Ruckus that I never knew I wanted until now! Triggercons/-bots rule!
And as for the color scheme of Defensor's G2 Rook repaint...

Counter-proposal: It shows 2 cards up in the corner, correct? What if as an extra incentive they throw in the cards for the combined forms with the fan-built combiner? That or it could just be both the G1 and G2 cards for Superion.

As far as the colors, I wonder if SW's Silverhammer's post was actually the vote for the fan built combiner and not related to G2. (I could be wrong...) At least that's how I took it.... (Which is why I did two separate posts rather than combine in one, hoping to avoid the confusion. I failed... I think...)

It's for the fan built combiner, I posted it to see if anyone could pick up on similar pallets. Oh also, in the cross cell on the front you can see a blue Skydive or blue Airraid, similar to Machine Wars Megatron. G2 Skydive's jet mode wasn't all blue like that, only the wings. Nor is it G2 Airraid who had a navy blue jet body, but red wings.

The solution is basically not using that particular blend of plastic and dyes. You can still do gold with a different blend. The problem isn't inherent to all gold plastic, just the particular gold plastic that was used in the G2 and Beast Wars eras. Hasbro has evidently moved away from it due to the rising awareness of GPS.

Excuse me sir, do you work for a Mr. Dick Jones?
I was all set to say this was a G2 Aerialbot gift set since I just figured they were coming eventually, but now I'm not sure. If you look at the pictures of the cards on the box, one is clearly G1 Superion and captioned as such; while the other is in a different pose, clearly based on the larger box art. When has Hasbro created new art for a repaint?

What would be cool is an golden Alpha Bravo with GPS. As he turns to dust in your hands, inside the figure is a small ticket that you mail in to redeem your G2 Slingshot. That would be awesome !

SDCC FOC Bruticus/G2 FOC Bruticus, SDCC Metroplex and Shockwave's lab too I believe
Basically any of the box set exclusives?

Well that's definitely the end of a golden firefly wrapped around that big Blue fist....if you look at shots of the current version with firefly as an arm l, the tail configuration around the first matches exactly
I'm betting this is a g2 repaint. Most likely for sdcc like everyone else is speculating.

Its not SDCC packaging style.
I'm pretty sure that this "G2 Superion" is going to either be an Amazon exclusive or a Toys R us Exclusive.
'includes poster and trading card' doesn't seem like something an SDCC exclusive would have.

Cyclonus looks awesome! Galvatronus, not so awesome. Your pics btw, seems to be too bright.
On another issue, I hear crickets chirping again............a joke must have fallen flat somewhere around here.

ALSO, everyone needs to chill with the GPS worries. That's a 10-to-20-year-old problem that has been remedied in newer gold toys. Given, it's usually because the character looks a little on the mustard side (LOL), but they have new chemicals and plastics to steer clear of GPS. ALSO they can simply paint critical portions of a character gold if needed.
I DO want a gold slingshot. Gold or GTFO. (gold transformer out!)

Exactly. The problem is still there but it's only 1, maybe 2 figures per odd line. The latest victims are:
Cybertron Repugnus
Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Dinobot
Beast Machines Snarl

Don't forget that Millennium Falcon cross-over from around 2006...

I'd hope that if Hasbro knows that a specific toy was victim of it in the past... that they'd take extra measures to test and ensure the new version doesn't suffer the same fate.

I thought it was WAY more figures... mind you, it's some of the most awesome figures in history, so that carries a lot of weight in our collective psyches.
I'm still waiting on a reissue BZ with GPS fixed. (hint hint hint)

I'll have to take it out of storage and give it a check.
As far as a gold "G2" Alpha Bravo.... I'd rather they go in a different direction as there is no need to copy G2 Slingshot unless they are using Quickslinger instead.
To make him different from the existing releases and known possible G2 usage of the mold, give him something new and unique. Maybe give AB a Tron look instead, Black with a neon white, yellow or green accent perhaps. Offroad should get a similar treatment with either a G2 style tricked out vehicle mode, or a Toxitron inspired deco.

Hopefully they will do the others in G2 colours, I only have Drag Strip of the Stunticons so if they do a G2 Menasor, one Drag Strip can be Drag Strip and the other can be Decepticharge

Thanks for the list but I am surprised TM Megatron isnt there. That is the worst case of a TF crumbling in my hands.
Also, I have Snarl and never thought he was easier to break than any other TF. Mine is as solid as the day I got him (Christmas 2000).

But he's really not. Drop him or put too much pressure on him and that's that. I've never gotten one that wasn't broken in lots that I buy for the Seibertron.com Store.
I think that list is missing some but I'm trying to think of who.
Beast Wars Megatron should be on the list though his plastic doesn't look like the same swirly gold plastic.

Energon Scorponok? Mine snapped at the shoulder, though maybe that was an assembly issue (tightness of a transforming swivel) and not actually GPS?

I dont buy nearly as many lots as you, but I have bought some in the past and everytime RTS Wreck Gar is in them, his handlebar is always broken.
Also, thanks for the tip, I will try my best not to drop Snarl
