The new actress will be Mikaela. The Mummy did it, Dark Knight did it, and even Iron Man did it for Rhodes. New actors/actresses that play the same character are common ground in movies.
As long as she's a hot brunette with a nice rack I'm not going to complain.

I think Fox will be back, and this is either more of Bay's misinformation or a rumour generated from an unreliable source.

Funny you should say that... cause I'm pretty sure this is a re-cast of Mikaela, not a new character... they want someone who is somewhat similar in looks to play the part...

This is what I'm thinking too. I wouldn't be surprised if it's all true either, but it sounds like Michael Bay hijinks to me to get people talking about the movie before anything real has gotten loose.

I dunno, I always got the feeling that Bay prefered to work with people who just did what he said without questioning him. This change in cast seems to be timed just after Fox said something about wanting to input some of her own ideas, such as not being so tanned. I bet if he thought he could get away with it, he'd send Shia packing too.
Doubtful... all I've ever read and heard from Shia and Bay is that they enjoy working with each other, respect each other, and they have good professional chemistry on the set...

I'm guessing she moves halfway across the country. Sorry, just brainstorming.

Ah, 3rd movie films in franchises are sensitive matters. And I'm not too hot about their choosen replacement, I wasn't too impressed with her work on Titans or Bond, and pairing her with Shia just feels too much like....courgar-ville. I'm not even sure if there is a significant age difference. But seeing her already paired with full grown men in other roles and then thrown in with Shia....who doesn't have the poise of being fully grown just yet....just strikes me as icky for a Transformers film.
Honestly, as much as i like eye candy they should just drop the character if they are serious and skip the love interest thing all together. As much as replacing co-actors is common in film franchises, it's rarely successful. Iron Man 2 and the Dark Knight were good at it because the chemistry between the two characters wasn't really founded (Tony and Rhodes) to where we didn't mind or outstanding elements were in play (Batman Begins, Heath Ledger passing).
Aw well, still luv ya Megan!

CONTINUITY ERRORS!
Seriously, writing out a "main" character that isn't Leo is just....not smart...

I'm sure i'll get castrated for saing this, but Its not going to be the same without her. The'd be better off with the new girl just starting fresh as a new character. Since fox was a lead role, its going to be interesting to see if we get the same "vibe" that we got with Shia and Megan had.
Here's the thing, we can either have a new girl come in and take over as Mikaela and ruin the "vibe" and keep the story going, or we can have a whole new character come in and spend the entire next 2 movies building a relationship with her...
Personally I hate re-casts with a passion, but at this point, I think I'd rather see a re-cast without disturbing the storyline and making us start over and go through it again... it's the lesser of 2 evils in my opinion

If they are going to axe Megan Fox then just axe her character too. Lets be honest all she is good for is eye candy anyways. I propose a better idea:
At the beginning of the film make reference to the break up between Sam and Mikaela. Then as the plot thickens, introduce a new girl for Sam to be with by the end of the movie.
And rather then using some hollywood bimbo, why not recruit one of the beautiful WWE divas to play that part. They all know how to act, do stunts and have great personalities. How about Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim or Eve Torres ???

Haha,
You know I really never got why all the smite against Megan. I thought she did fine in the first, the only other real mainstream movie she did post Transformers was Jennifers Body, a b-rate horror flick done by a director that used to be a stripper, and everyone was "She's got to bring her A-GAME! THIS FILM shall be the one to let us know if she be worthy to act"....better yet everyone and their mother is willing to oversee every little thing thats wrong with ROTF, and we know the writing was crap, the bloody writers said so....yet when it comes to Megans character everyone is up in arms.
Hahaha, I just find it amusing. Anyways I agree with Cruiser, and I think I stated they just need to drop the character all together. I think the producers are running high on a recast wave with the success of Iron Man 2, not noting the chemistry wasn't broken between Downey Jr and Gwenneth, which carries alot of the film. That and good directing too. However they're breaking a chemestry built through two film and already founded....I mean good or bad as this three-qual may be at this point a transformers film doesn't feel like a transformers film without Megan.
Looking at the potential replacements...I'm not seeing it. they either look too old to play besides Shia or too young to replace Megans character. Jeepers, they kept the twins, and dropped Megan Fox...what else is suppose to be coming out in 2011? Captain America right? And Thor? Yeah that should save my sumer movie experience

This would make a lot more sense.
Personally I dislike when they change out actors for continuing roles.
It worked in Iron Man, only because Terrance Howard just would not have worked as War Machine with that silly high pitched voice of his.

I know that the human brain is amazing at converting the absurd to the mundane but he risks life and limb to save a powerful alien artifact from a murderous robot...and then just a little later he's trying to awkwardly juggle a long distance relationship.

OR they might go to extensive lengths explaining why she looks different and Sam has emotional issues over her physical changes and if he likes her more/less than he did before.
It's not as if Bay would honestly spend a nano-second of more time on the dang robots or anything.

Would have liked to see Rachel Taylor and Anthony Anderson back. Anderson was frikki' hilarious.
No, the only cast member of either movie that I HATE is bloody Leo. Get rid of him!!!
On the subject of Iron Man, I was glad they replaced Terrence Howard. I didn't like him at all.
I would have no problem with Gemma Atherton. I liked her in Bond and Titans. She also has that great "keep your eyes off me " line in the Persia Trailer.
But yes, GET RID OF LEO!!!! HE's HORRIBLE!

Well the robots are keeping remarkably quiet on their Twitters, and their agents aren't talking much either.

I'm secretly hoping that Sam's college professor, played by Dwight from The Office, will become a main character.

I'll admit, I laughed at Anderson's character a couple of times, but his character was 100% useless. He didn't bring anything to the movie that Rachael Taylor II's character couldn't do. Whenever I watch the movie now I just skip over the overly long chatty bit that introduces his character.
I agree with you on Simmons though, I liked him much more in this film than the last.

Btw about The Dark Knight, the worst thing in that movie is Maggie Gyllenhaal, what an ugly old looking girl with no facial expression. Katie Holmes should've been brought back.

Well, without humans in G1, Spike would not have short circuited Teletran 1 in the second part of The Ultimate Doom. Thusly, the Decepticons would not have been defeated by cottoncandy (EDIT: fire retardant foam). Had that happened then the Autobots would all be piles of scrap metal and the Earth would be a near-dead husk and we would all be paying homage to the super genius Dr. Archevil!
Is that the world you would prefer?

OK you are right , lets go with Mikaela than.
Sam&Mikaela relationship issues take too much time, honestly it turns TF into how i met your mother. So why not removing her?

After all, she was Shadowcat in X-Men 3; maybe she can be a replacement for the third in another sci-fi franchise!
Seriously though, I'd consider her.

I agree, but Kirsten Bell or Brittany Snow also look good for this role, IF this is happen.
