Also their modern designs and paintschemes really make Devastator look even more horribly dated than he already does. Just seems like a really odd choice of opponents.

Did you know this off the top of your head? or did you have to look it up? just wondering

Chromia apparently rushed right over from her last fight as a Luchador.
She's the biggest Ultimate Warrior fan on Cybertron.
Yeah, there's no way they're holding those poses with those giant weapons without support.

It appears that Arcee's gone to the Anime/JRPG school of swordsmanship.

Soooooo... anyone going to SDCC this year?

No.
I hope I can find this set for around 75 dollars or less on Ebay.

Also, I REALLY hope the comics don't decide to go full Tumblr feminist "HURR LOOK AT US STRONG INDEPENDENT MARY SUE WOMEN KILLING ALL THE COMBINERS GURRRRRL POWAH". I mean, the concept of Arcee, Chromia and Windblade hunting Devastator is awesome, but...I dunno, it might be irrational but I have a forboding feeling of dread about the execution of the story. Call it intuition.

I never said THAT was good either. Although the comparison is a little off given the particular brand of stupidity I'm referring to is the combination of "UNKILLABLE MARY SUE BADASS LOL" with "ERMAHGERD MUH STRONK EMPOWERED WOMAN WHO DON'T NEED NO MAN".

There is a difference between having tough girls that need to be tough to survive and get the job done, and having tough girls taking the roll of the guys and the guys being the wimps. In this picture for example:
It's not Elita one being tough for a good reason, it's to make optimus look like a wimpy girl.

And guys, just on a side note, when was the last time we got a good Moonracer figure from Hasbro and/or Takara?

Moonracer with Firestar, anyone? Blame trademarks on this. On that note, have an Elita-1:

Making Optimus look like a wimp is a very good reason - though in that image, a favourite of mine, he's being emotionally taken by the strength of his established partner (which is the exact reversal of what usually takes place in TF fiction). And 'girl' is not an insult, so not sure what you're getting at here.
I would invite both Delta Magnus and Silly to read the current IDW ongoings, in which all three characters have been established in their distinct and individual personalities. Combiner Hunters, if anything, will build on that.
In addition, perhaps something on positive, wider representation and diversity in fiction, too.

The more I think about these gals...
The Pointer Sisters
Or even better, these fly fillies...
And we all know who was behind the MJ Girls,
This guy...
and since I have this guy ...
playing the role of that guy...
I think now I really need this set!

I thought that was the last Moonracer we have gotten. Hasbro/Takara, make it happen.
We also need a new Elita-1, not some cheap repaint, but an original mold. Or at least a good remold like Generations Chromia.

Following the trend of recent years, they'll probably be available on Hasbro Toy Shop on a random day after the con. The listings will go up in the middle of the night and they'll all be gone by morning before any normal person has a chance to order them.

But it's okay for the male TransFormers to be tough and the women be wimpy? You can't ever have a fembot wipe the floor with a man? Yeah, that's sexist.SillySpringer wrote:There is a difference between having tough girls that need to be tough to survive and get the job done, and having tough girls taking the roll of the guys and the guys being the wimps. So you're saying women need men? Again, that's sexist.Delta Magnus wrote:I never said THAT was good either. If y'all don't like kickass female characters, then don't read/watch/whatever it is that has them in it... but many people DO enjoy strong, killer women. Xena: Warrior Princess was popular for a reason.
