It's the individual packs that are remaining difficult to find

Hopefully people wont have thrown them out.

Neurie wrote:Cool not sure anyone has reported this yet, but the Japanese Mincons with the pegs come with a little extra plug which attaches them to the sprue. This is the same size/shape as the connector on the back of the Minicons and it can be used to connect the plugs on to the standard connectors on Prime Deployer/Delux toys.
Hopefully people wont have thrown them out.
You just saved mine from the trash but I don't see how the connector would connect to a proper Mini-Con port on toys from past lines. The rectangle sized hold wouldn't accommodate the traditional ports, or any 5mm peg for that matter.

Yep, the minicons in particular have had scarce sightings. If you find something though and you don't think we newsed it or anything, feel free to drop it in a thread or reports news up there in the top right corner! If we have it, we just have more proof; if we don't, everyone else now knows about it!

Sure, will do. If I had known these were rare I would have shared.

Well we did let people know we were looking for them when word first got out they were at Asda. It just took a while for someone to send a picture. But we did let people know, we knew they were out since at least early june and I personally asked for a picture to be sent: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=101922&p=1795527&hilit=asda#p1795527

Did you notice how good some of his paint apps are? He looks cool figure wise, paint wise, and transformation wise. I'm excited too!

Mutant mask? Scorponok looks okay so far. I don't want to be the bad grape in the vine, but I can't make any final judgments before I see Takara's Scorponok.

Yeah I noticed that paint as well. He looks great. Very original for a scorpion transformer. What I find very interesting is how his bucaneer like sabr becomes his stinger.

He really is a unique bugger and I love it. The skinny legs look a bit weird to me, but overall he is a darn good looking guy

Yeah, it takes a certain type to be able to easily get past them; they are fairly extreme in his case thoughSeventhSage wrote:I can't get over those chicken legs!

Yeah, they are very extreme. Its because for this toy, it seems the designers wanted to give something very new with having the limbs not be anything repeated from the alt mode (which is very hard to do with beasts), so he ends up having a lot of kibble in the back and on his shoulders with small arms and legs that can tuck away easily in alt mode. It was a bold decision and I give it merrit but I do admit that it would have probably been better to integrate some more alt mode into the limbs. I will still get this guy though, I am a sucker for original designs.
But if someone wants an awesome transforming Scorpion bot, Beast Wars Scorponoc offers an excellent and very modern transformation.

I love the design, loved the extreme's they went to in rotf and beast machines, so this is great - though, I would like to know just what his arms are supposed to be, tentacles? And to be fair, he can wear his claws as boxing gloves, so that's partial integration

They look like biomechanical hooks to me, in the style of soemthign you would find on insects like the praying mantis:
His legs look a lot like praying mantis legs too.

Hooks for arms... he's way more hardcore than animated lockdown was

I didn't at first but it's definitely in there.(I too was a little more focused on the Marvel Legends ). It is probably in the same steel mold as some other parts needed for Prime so they decided to release it as well.

Bisk and Ratchet are in the next wave, Wave 8

Oh well I guess I will have to settle with just scorpnok. I really need to see that Takara windblade before i make up my mind about picking the Hasbro one. The mold is fine but it has no painted detail.

Geez. I'm sorry for all you Windblade fans out there. They really phoned it in on this toy; the figure looks nothing like the art on the box. If it weren't for the kabuki makeup, I'd honestly think it was a different character. Even still, if someone told me this was a different cityspeaker, I'd believe them.
Posted by Sabrblade on June 20th, 2016 @ 9:13pm CDT
Oh, it does, sculpting-wise. It's just there's so much unpainted red plastic and little-to-no other colors on the figure that most of the figure's resemblance to the character model is lost or obscured by how monotone the deco is.Lucky Logician wrote:Geez. That's why most who want a decently-colored RID Windblade are waiting to see what Takara's Adventure Windblade will look like.

Agreed though I will say that Megatronus and Fracture are on equal footing with Takara in terms of paint apps. I was thinking of getting them in the HLJ sale but when comparing to Hasbro, they didnt seem that much better. The paint is just arranged differently and in different places. And Quillfire isnt that bad either, Hasbro's take and colour mix is interesting. But for the rest, its a little sad.

If Hasbro's people read through the boards as I'm told they do, then they need to start taking notes about shit like this.
Ya'll need to do a better job with these decos. It's a shame that we're back to the point in 2002 and 2003 where the solution is just to import in order to get nice looking figures.
Back with Classics, Generations, HftD, etc...there was an objective choice about how the figures were decoed, but now, the non-Japanese markets are really getting inferior product.
All eyes on the conversion rate boy'os.

I love you counterpunch, you say it like it is and I totally agree. At least for Windblade here But man, did you see the difference with Thunderhoof?
